I love this stone but am a little wary about the inclusions. They seem to be well placed and it might not bother me. I wasn''t considering an SI2 until I found this particular stone. TIts from an online vendor so I have not seen it in person. I am most worried about the feather because of what I''ve read about feathers and the integrity of the stone. It''s a small feather though, so I''m hoping its fine. What do you all think of this stone? Are the clouds going to be a problem too?

I don''t mind inclusions as long as the stone is eye clean and do not compromise the structure.

you need to talk to the vendor about how the stone looks. we could make assumptions all day and not be able to tell you the effects of the inclusions as accurately as someone who has actually seen the stone.
the next best thing would be to send it to an independent appraiser if you are concerned.

I''m not really looking for a professional opinion right now, if I decide to get it I''ll have someone look at it. I was just wondering if any of you see big red flags and would not take a chance on this one.

Regarding its "eye-cleanness" -- Belle is right, short of seeing the stone yourself, your best bet is to ask the vendor to eyeball it for you.

I am no expert -- by any means -- but I *think* that, assuming it is an ideal cut round, it has a good chance of being eye-clean. I am not qualified to even guess about the feather.

What''s the size of the stone? Can you get magnified face shots of it?

FWIW, I have a 2.36 SI2 that is TOTALLY eye-clean, so don''t think it isn''t possible!

Lynn I always love seeing your stone!

Belle and Lynn are right - we have no idea of knowing how those clouds are going to look....I'd ask the vendor to take a look for you.

It's worth finding out. I have a circle of clouds in my VS2 stone. Clearly they aren't visible whatsoever. At SI2 they could make the stone look hazy, or perhaps there is a different grade setting inclusion.
