I really hope that you can work things out with him. However, it seems like you many really need to take a break from each other, step back, and re-prioritize. From my experience, I always went for the guys who I thought I could change, the ones who were hurt in the past (from family problems or past girlfriends) and whom I can take care of. Can you honestly say that you''re not thinking at the back of your mind, "He''ll change. Everything will work out. He just needs someone to show him what love can be like."
Maybe he really does love you but is afraid to show it. Like you said in an earlier thread, maybe we only see the bad side of the relationship because you come to us with your problems.
However, please keep in mind that we all care about you and we only want the best for our fellow PSers. Some of the people who have posted have decades of more life experience than both of us, and although it''s cliche, age does bring wisdom. In addition, sometimes it really does take an outsider''s point of view to open our eyes to what''s really going on, especially with our love lives.
Please take our advice - pause and think, slow down the pace of the relationship if need be. Look deep inside and ask yourself if this is really what you want in a relationship.
