I've been eyeing these on JD's website hoping for a smaller one of similar color. He does provide videos on his own website that may be helpful for you.

I'm hoping I can get away with just reworking it. And if I can't, it will still be the exact same design - just with a larger center for a little extra oomph. The current center is 7.5 x 5mm. So 9 x 7 should be a noticeable difference.

Oops, in rereading this thread I realize I got your projects mixed up ... I know this Rubellite is for your Christmas ring which will be even more extraordinary with the new larger stone.

I think the new spinel will look amazing in the Gloria Floria - without knowing exactly what I was looking for, it became apparent that the spinel would be perfect as soon as I saw it. And the new rubellite will scratch the itch for the Christmas ring.

I'm currently also doing a small upgrade with Good Old Gold, and that new stone will probably go into a cluster.

I think....
