Well the diamonds in the myjewelrysource.com setting don''t appear to be nearly as nice but even so I''d go for the bigger stone. Personally I think a bigger stone looks nicer with a split shank.

I agree, I think the split shank will be showcased with the larger stone. The diamonds will still sparkle, which is all that I care about!

in case you didn''t read it in the other thread, I have ordered setting #2 and it should be here in a few days.. will post pics when it gets here!


I just have to return the one I have to Watertown ( 2 1/2 hr drive) anyone wanna come??

Thank you!! I haven''t totally let go of #3, but I think it will best without a halo, too and I am thinking a pear shape for that setting....anyway, I better jusy cocentrate on this one for now!



FYI, the intended drop on my doorstep will be August 9th, I don''t know if I can wait that long! I only hope it isn''t crap!!

#3 is good, imo, but w/o a halo. that setting is meant to show off the center stone.

to be totally honest, i found setting #1 to be gawdy.

if you do a pear in #3, you''ll have to do something to protect the pointed end..........

I agree, no halo on that one. I think a pear or maybe a round on that setting..

Interesting that you said gaudy for #1, I found it dainty.. in any case it will be going back sometime next week.
