Please have Alex set it in a simple file WQ bezel so you can wear it. You have so many loose diamonds already!

I know I had those exact thoughts. Honestly I’ve been searching for this for far too long to let it sit in the safe but I also don’t want to temporarily bezel it just to rip it out weeks later. I usually use David for my settings but given my recent increasingly bad case of indecisiveness I think I need to work with a designer. If I can’t make a decision I’m going to send it to Caysie and have her design something based on the elements that I like in my inspiration pictures. I also think one of the reasons I haven’t set anything is because I’ve been holding out for this one. I’ve been searching for it for awhile.

This is one of my all time favorite rings to. I did see Sako’s rendition of it. It was beautiful but to be honest I found it a bit too clunky compared to the original. I’m definitely considering recreating this with my stone

Editing: I am considering purchasing it from Alex, even though his price is a lot more than what I paid, but I am talking with brilliance and they’re claiming they had it in hand and rejected it due to damage. Ugh

There was nothing damaged beyond repair about that diamond.

If I had to pick a ring setting artisan, Alex would be my top pick because I’ve never not loved his high quality design sensibility and craftsmanship. I’d go with him any day and see what his ideas are. If you want “antique vibe” Caysie is top notch, IMO.

Ya the whole situation was so messed up. That stone was meant to be mine. I feel like an idiot for paying a few grand more for it but I couldn’t let it get away. I’d prefer to have Alex do the setting. I hate shipping stones so it would be nice to just get it done. I’m really struggling with the setting though.

My former ring. Just imagine that the baguettes are rounds.

I like faux bezels bc the stone is protected but the tint isn’t completely encased in a full bezel.

round 2 of inspo pictures! This is the direction I’m heading. Alex said there aren’t any weak spots and it’s a very clean SI2 so I can set it however I want. I think I’m going to send a few of these to Alex and see if he can create something.

No just do this. You see what his bench can produce. Ask for this setting it’s perfect and make sure to confirm he will use the same bench that made this setting. I hate shipping things too.
