Perfection. I'm so glad you are happy with your new set. I usually prefer four prong settings. But seeing the before and after on yours... I prefer the new setting and can totally see why you switched. Plus I adore the strong blue.

Thanks so much, Gypsy! There are a lot of 4 prong settings that I love, too! There are some other settings that I'd love for an old cut such as JBEG's Sophie and there is a BK set I like a lot, too. But I just decided for this modern rb, I would go with the classic Tiffany since it is pretty timeless. I really am glad I learned the positives of fluorescence and happened to find this diamond!
 
What a gorgeous stone in a beautiful classic setting. My diamond is about the same size, with blue flourescence and I love it. I agree that blue flourescense is a plus.

I'm getting the round set first, and then the WX AVC later. (not a lot later, I just can't figure out 2 settings at the same time, lol!)

Thank you!!! This is my classic hearts desire...(but I really also want either an AVC or AVR or an OEC!!!!) :eek:

(Edited to add: I am seriously thankful for the ring I have...didn't want to sound like I really needed another diamond at all!)

No kidding! One is bad enough at a time! You have my two dream cuts, though, so I am seriously interested in seeing the finished rings!!! I want the mini versions of yours eventually! :D
 
Beautiful ring, I love that setting! What would you say the height in mm is from the top of your finger to top of the diamond's table? I have a stone similar size to yours and was wondering what medium height would really mean as opposed to having it set high? I would eventually like to reset my diamond. Currently it is in the basic BGD 6 prong platinum/temp. setting.

I would say about 8mm. It is a perfect medium height...not too high and not too low.
 
Oh, 8 mm would be perfect for me. Currently mine is probably around 7 mm, so not too different. I just love the profile of your setting, and it really is so classic. Thanks DS!!

Diamond seeker I lover your rings. I want to get the solitaire setting! I currently have a memoire eternity band as well. What are the specs of your memoire band? Do you have any pics of the two together? I wanted to see what the two look like to make sure that my memoire band is not too high. Thanks!

Thank you! I love this solitaire setting and I think you will enjoy it! Memoire is one of the lowest set bands, so I have no doubt it will work with this setting. My Memoire band had .10 ct stones. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the ring with the Memoire band. I always wore it with the Tiffany Legacy band (and still do). I sold my Memoire band a few months ago, so I am not able to take a picture. But unless your stones are huge in your band, the ring should be absolutely fine. The Vatche ring is medium height, so there should be no problem. There are ladies here with larger diamonds who wear diamond bands with their Vatche U-113 as well. So I really have no concern about a Memoire band with it.

Thank you! I have since changed the diamond and had the head remade to accommodate the new stone.

Yes, I still love the Vatche U-113! When I changed my diamond to a 2 ct AVR, GOG sent my setting back to Vatche to remake the head and set the new diamond and it came back looking brand new! I still consider resetting in a more antique style setting, but only because the diamond is antique style and not because I don't love this setting. I am leaning towards just leaving it as it is and getting a new band, though!
