The pair of earrings purchased from GOG has arrived!
I posted this in RockyTalk, as this post is more about the stones and less about the finished bling.
I was looking for a pair of small, understated bezel-set martini studs for my wife-to-be to wear on our wedding day.
In addition to the difficult task of finding matching stones, I was looking for a pair of stones with matching fluorescence. To say this was a tall order is putting it mildly!
After discussing with Jon and Matt at GOG, we started to search for a pair of stones that fit this need. They wouldn't be able to guarantee matching fluor (with the huge spectrum of fluorescent options), but at least they would try to find stones with similar fluorescence noted on the lab report.
Here are the two stones we settled on:
0.24ct H VS2
Table = 56% / Depth = 61.8% / Crown = 34.5% / Pavilion = 40.6% / 3.96 - 3.99mm / Fluorescence = Medium

0.23ct H SI1
Table = 55% / Depth = 62% / Crown = 35% / Pavilion = 40.6% / 3.96mm - 3.97mm / Fluorescence = Medium

The stones were quickly set and then sent my way. Here is a video of the pair in action:

The best part: The stones DO have matching fluorescence. They look like a perfect pair, with or without the UV light. Now the kicker - they are both phosphorescent, as well! And the phosphorescence is the same in both stones (orange fading to white/blue).
There's no way GOG could guarantee that outcome, but I must say, I am one happy camper. My wife-to-be received the earrings and was so pleased. She looks forward to wearing them often!
