This is where we''re getting married: http://www.clayhillfarm.com/

It''s in York and it''s a restaurant (and a bird sanctuary) but they also do weddings. You rent it out for either the day or the evening. We''re having a late morning ceremony (11:00ish), cocktail hour, then reception. We chose it for several reasons: 1) both my FI and I lived on the seacoast of NH for a number of years and we went to York often; 2) we got engaged in York at Nubble Lighthouse; 3) we wanted someplace that could easily accomodate either an indoor ceremony or an outdoor one, just in case the weather doesn''t cooperate.

I would really like to do a few photographs at Nubble but I''m not sure that we''d have much time during the cocktail hour with the other photos we want to get around the property. We thought of having photos taken there after we leave the reception (we''d say our goodbyes and then head for the lighthouse to finish photos) or even before the ceremony (but that would be hard to coordinate). We could do engagement photos there possibly if we decide to have pics taken for our engagement.

Thanks, zoe! It is a gorgeous spot and like I said, I''ve wanted to get married there since I was a little girl! When FI came out to MA to meet my family for the first time, the first place I brought him was the Berkshires.

Clay Hill Farm is beautiful! We used spend summers on Vinalhaven, off the coast of Rockland, and I have many memories of stopping off at different spots along the coast, including Ogunquit and York. I''m sure it will be a beautful wedding and you should definitely feel confident that you picked a wonderful location!

Cranwell is gorgeous! I''ve only been near it once, but I went to Williams College, so the Berkshires are near and dear to my heart. My friend had a beautiful wedding at the Williamsville Inn a couple years ago. Also, our honeymoon is going to be a five day sail on one of the Camden windjammers, so we''ll be seeing a lot of the Maine coast too. I''m so excited about it.

Thanks, selkie! I actually have some family friends that got married at Williams College a few years ago - she was an alum. I didn''t attend, but I know they had the ceremony at the chapel on campus. Also, we actually looked at the Williamsville Inn for our wedding - it was the first place we looked at! They have beautiful grounds and I really liked the idea of having the whole place to ourselves for the weekend, but we ultimately decided on Cranwell for the views. We are asking a lot of people to travel for the wedding (many of whom have never been to the Berkshires) so we''re really trying to get the bang for our buck, if you know what I mean. I''ve heard the food at Williamsville is amazing though!!
