Thanks, everyone! I took some more pics today outside . . . I was so worried I was going to drop my stones in the grass - SO worried!

That is a real worry! I managed to drop a $350 custom cut Royal Rhodolite garnet I was trying to photograph into the grass and I never did find it! Now I never take gems outside without a drop cloth to compensate for such accidents.
