Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on this board and would like to introduce myself and say hi. May name is Mark and I started collecting gems about 1 year ago. I have been purchasing mixed faceted gemstone parcels from a jewelry show and have quite a few carats. I am also looking to getting into selling gems. I have not been to any gem schools as of yet but hoping to within the next couple of years. I currently purchased a couple of gem books and tools and with the gems I have been studying on my own. I am feeling confident that I have learned s lot about gems so far, but also relise that there is so much more to learn with new info coming out everyday, since it is a science. Anyway I hope to be apart of many discussions and hope to learn, contribute, buy and sell gems through this great forum. Thank you for your time and hope to be speaking with you guys in the near future.

Mark

This is a great place to learn. I''d love to see some of the stones you''ve collected. Good luck on you gem career!!!

welcome mark,

clear is: even after 50 years you will not have learned the half of what there is to know.

But that makes it so thrilling:

All other topics or products (e.g. like "steel nails" or "tea filters") run empty after a few years (or months).
