AWWW! What a great story!! She''s a very robust gal now, fully recovered for sure :)

My Vinny does that- grabs and bites the brush...he gets so excited...I have to know when to stop with him b/c he''ll start biting he gets so worked up

I have some more pix of Gracie at home..some are really funny- she looks terrified! The other day she did swat Vinny...which made me feel good believe it or not...she''s getting some courage...Vinny is a great boy, but he''s in charge...he''ll just walk up to her and sit in her spot ... but then again, half the time, she runs away before he gets there...

Her favorite toy is Captain Stringy! Just an old string from a pair of sweats LOL...

My girls love the brush..it is the way I can get them out from under bed when needed.

MMM- my cats have ''Ann Taylor'' which is basically the rope handle from any old Ann Taylor bag...love that rope string!

aawww good for her! Vinnie does look like he is in charge, I just love the look on his face inspecting the new bathroom. He just looks SO smart.

I haven''t posted much here lately, but I look at this thread at least once a day to get a full dose of kitty ****! Tomatoe, I am a fan of yours for taking on those adorable itty bitty babies. And to the rest of you who are the privileged slaves of precious felines...thanks for sharing the pics and stories.

Update on Matata & Maggie. Maggie, being female is, of course, perfect. Matata is having litterbox issues again. He''ll crap behind the couch for inumerable reasons such as: the day the housekeeper vacuums, a change in the weather, an impending upchuck of a hairball, he''s hungry, the litter in the box is 3 grains shy of his perfect depth. Although he''s huge, Maggie rules the house and Matata accepts this, though he does revolt occasionally by plopping his 18 pounds right on her when she''s lying down. The drama that ensues is accompanied by a cacaphony sounding like 2 T-Rexs being disembowled alive.

LOL Matata...too funny! Let''s have some pix!

Rockchick- he is pretty smart. He''s a little sneak too. Scotty is just a big dumb mush. Gracie is in a state of shock LOL....

Yesterday, I was sitting on the couch and I saw Vinny on the other couch. I told my hubby, "watch, I will telepathically tell him to come and sit on my lap"...wouldn''t you know it- I looked at Vinny straight in the eyes...didn''t say or do anything...and he came and sat on my lap...it''s freaky!

And BTW- all you cat lovers out there...I discovered something SO fabu...maybe you already know about it??? VARNISH PENS from Home Depot! OMG. I was so sad that my amazing bedroom nightstands had hind leg scratch marks on them. WELL, you just write on the scratch with a marker and then wipe it off after a second or two...GONE! Scrach is GONE! I found a perfect match...and some sanity !!!

Hey MMM...have you heard of Feliway? It''s a feline pheromone that comes in a spray bottle. It''s mainly used to keep cats from spraying urine, but I use it on furniture to keep Maggie from clawing and it works. I also spray the inside of the carrier when I take them to the vet and they''re much calmer during the car trip. And, when I spray the areas of carpet where Matata occasionally likes to take a dump, he stops immediately. http://www.vpl.com/cgi-bin/vpl.cgi/scan/fi=products/st=db/co=1/sf=category/se=Behavior/op=eq.html

Can I just tell you how funny I think it is when you use the word "dump" LOLOL...I don''t know why...it cracks me up...
Oh yeah, feliway is a good good thing! But it''s not from them clawing but from them jumping from them onto higher furniture and the window...I think they are mainly back claw marks. THey are like flying monkeys I tell you!!! LOL

I know only too well. First kitten I ever had acted like Tarzan -- she''d run up the drapes and swing by one claw. Came home from work one day and ALL of the drapery hardware, drapes, and sheers in every room were on the floor. She had also taken ahold of a roll of paper towels and somehow managed to run out the roll without breaking any of the sheets. I found her in the bathroom peacefully napping under a shredded roll of toilet paper. To this day, I still can''t figure out how something so small could wreak such havoc.

Hah! The Great Toilet Paper Unravelling Trick! Sunshine does that....I couldn''t figure out quite how until one day happened to sneak up her.....sitting on the closed toilet stretched out so that her front paws rested on the toilet paper roll, then she started paddling her front paws like crazy. A cat version of the log roll contest. she just kept going faster and faster until even she couldn''t keep up and fell. Then back up and away she went again. So, now I put the paper on so that it rolls under not over.....

Oh! Everyone's cats are so beautiful, gorgeous and stunning!!!

How the kittens have grown! Cream is almost as long as the sink

Feeding and toileting is much less of a hassle now that they've more or less been weaned and litterbox trained (with the occasional accidents in the box when I am not around to let them go to the toilet).

I want them to stay at this size forever!!!

FireGoddess: What a lovely heartwarming story! Chloe reminds me of a cat still at the vet''s I used to work for, with that short stumpy body (no offense meant, just quite unique to me)!!! It''s really sweet how she has to sleep touching at least one part of you!

Our adult cats hate being brushed

Hammie went through a mini toilet unravelling phase but it has since been disciplined out of him. My shower and toilet is not seperated and the toilet paper will just get all wet and unusable, so we can't indulge him that way.

The below photo has to be a very low quality to be able to uploaded, dont know if it will be grainy.

Oh these pictures and stories are just great!

Jenwill: I just about died when I read about your cat and the toliet paper "log roll"! That is just too funny!!
emsmilep.gif
Especially about her falling off the toliet and getting right back up to start all over!!!

Bridget: I love Tippy. She is just a doll and it just makes me sick to wonder what happened to her in her previous life! I am so glad she is where she is loved and protected now.

Firegoddess: I love your kitty. She looks like such a doll. My Jasmine really likes the brush too. She will roll over so I can be sure and get all sides!

Tomatoe: I love how they pose! They are just too cute.

Keep those pics coming....

The kitties look so alert and healthy with their big full bellies. It always cracks me up to see how big their ears are compared to the rest of their heads.

Tomatoe - Chloe is definitely squat for a kitty - kinda short and small, but since the kidney stone operation and the prescription food, the belly has definitely widened.

I use Feliway (the plug in) to try to make her feel more calm and less fraidy...it seems to work, but only to a certain extent can fraidiness be "cured." She loves, loves, loves little mice with rattles inside them, after I dip them in some catnip. Then all her fears seem to go away and she thinks she''s queen hunter of the jungle. After the catnip is eaten and subsided a bit, she remembers she''s supposed to be afraid and instantly gets this look like, "Omigod, where am I, and what can I hide behind?"

She''s also hypnotized by anything shiny or sparkly. I think she gets that from me.

This is a picture of our kitty Charlotte/ Binky. We got her from the woods in North Carolina and brought her home. She was about 6 months old when we got her in June of 2000. I think she is part goat as she eats things that no self respecting cat would, like string, plastic, hard or soft (she''s not choosy!) When I see her chewing and she is not at the food bowl, I leap up and pry her mouth open! She has cost us about $1200 in vet bills from eating things that are bad for her. She also loves to squeeeeeeze into tiny places, as evidenced by the photo : )

I wish you well,

Bridget

What a sweet face! And I love the dotted nose! Just want to kiss it....!!!

I just love looking at all these cat pictures (well, there are one or two dog pix...I knew a few wouldn't be able to resist posting LOL)...they just make me smile!

OMG- and there's Molly the skunk! LOL..but she's A-OK in my book...that's almost a cat, right?

Charlotte looks adorable, and apparently has a fondness for beer.

Such a pretty pattern on her face.

I received this link in an email recently....almost peed my pants. Check this kitty out: (sweet cat up for adoption)

Tomatoe

I have said this before, and i'll say it again, they look SO DARN good!!!! You are doing SUCH a good job! they look alive, their fur (the fur that is left
2.gif
) looks so good. They look so bright, and they have fat kitty tummies which I love
30.gif
, but the only thing is, and I don't know if this is anything to fuss about, but is it just me, or does White always have red eyes when you take pics? Is it because she is a little "behind" shall we say... Probably nothing, it's just something I noticed..hope you don't mind me posting that...

take care

LOL, my friend who uses the nick Pinky said, "now we all know why it''s called Pinky. i swear the man was perving on it! thats why it reacted that way... like... WDF! SIR-TOP TAH-CHING MEH YEW FAH-GERT! /goes crazy and attempts to bite his manhood off."

Rockchick: Yeah, I''ve noticed it since the first photos and someone else off PS mentioned something that too. I''ll have to check with a vet on that, hope she''s not blind.
face14.gif

On the other hand, it could also just be the red eye effect that affects us humans too.
face22.gif

Cream has taken to escaping from their box and wanting to either sleep on my lap or the bed...!
face20.gif

They were in a really sweet position before this but they moved before I could capture it!!!

they are adorable. Love the close up shot!!!

I''m so in love with them all! Their cheekiness really shows through in all those close up shots.

Tomatoe,
I''m thinking Shiro-chan''s eyes look red in the pictures because he (she?) has blue eyes and blue eyes tend to get that red eye effect when photographed. Kuro and Cream have yellow eyes, right?
