She's getting better, slowly and steadily. In fact she is a fiesty little tamale with no qualms making her displeasure known loud and clear! I'll have to take them all in for their very first vaccinations at the end of this month (if they can have them with their ringworm problem) so we'll have the vet take a look at her then again.

Of course I have to bathe them, they stink really bad after eating all the kitten wet food themselves, and its 3 showers in a week!!! Like Chrono said: they need to be started as early as possible to get them used to it, my mum's cat just stands there hanging onto the railing during her showers.

Hammie, however, runs around the whole toilet but I just chase him around with the shower!

I am SOOOOO happy to learn that white is getting better. That is SO great.

They sure are getting plump which is fantastic. Geez, do you think they could have been only a week old when you got them b/c they still look so young....oh, but I remember you saying that they have a lot of catching up to do and are so small b/c of their ordeal. I love the pink belly!

They are adorable! I was thinking the same as MMM, that perhaps you got htem VERY young, becaseu they still only look about 5 weeks old! Those really pink tummies make them look young....when I got my girls at 8 weeks, their round tummies were covered a bit more with furries. Probably just used up all that hair makign energy surviving, and now have to catch up.

What a good mommy you are! I love this thread.

MMM & Jen: I have been wondering about that ALOT! Do kittens start to open their eyes at 1 week old instead of 2? I am so afraid that whatever I have been doing and medicating is not age appropriate and is actually harming them more than helping.

*sigh* I keep thinking if they are only 6 weeks old now, if they were 1 week old when I got them on the 8th Feb.

Well, you are doing the best you can with the vet advice that;s given to you so don't worry...I'm certainly not a vet...but I believe that heartworm meds are ok to use starting at 6 weeks...but you didn't start that much earlier so don't worry about it....
Kittens will open up their eyes after the first week (about 10 days)...The only thing that I honestly would ease up on is the bathing. It's just too traumatic for such young babies imo...unless the stink makes you want to pass out LOL...I dunno, the immune system on these suckers are not as strong as they would be if they had their mama for the first weeks so I just wouldn't put more stress on them and three times a week is a lot....but that's my wortheless 2 cents!

Remember, you're a GOOD MOMMY!

Tomatoe: The kitties are looking good! I had to bottle feed my youngest, Flash, for a month or so. I wasn''t sure how I was going to teach her all the other "cat" stuff she would need to know, especially how to groom herself. Luckily, Jasmine came to my rescue and took over that part of the mothering.

Good grief! All these pictures are driving me crazy.

Rascal is so gorgeous. All that fluffy fur make me want to stick my face in his belly.

LOL MMM, you''re gonna have to fight my grandma for him! I took 2 pictures of them eating their "supper". I normally feed them their last meal for the night at 3am, they just finished it and are (finally) sleeping soundly.

If you guys notice, White is eating by herself!!!! It's a real milestone for her, cos the other 2 have been doing it for the past 2 weeks and she only started last night. She seems to be catching up for lost time! Dont you guys love how they look like spring chickens... yum yum!

I must say the trio are adorable as ever. Their fur also seems to be growing back beautifully. I can''t chose a favourite. Cream seems to be the largest and healthiest of the bunch. White/Shiro is also looking a whole better now.

Chrono: Their weights are 650, 500, 450 grams; Cream, Grey, White.

Cream is my favourite eversince his ringworm recovered (is recovering) and sleeps with dh and I on the bed at night. I am trying to condition him to be a loving cat (to me) but he seems to prefer my husband''s armpits more than me.

In these 2 pics, Grey''s ringworm patches are very visible and shows how the fur is so different (weird) compared to the ringworm-less parts.

If you also notice, White has become a shorthair cat (for now).... I cut off all her fur because of the ringworm, heh!

However, she seems to be developing the colouring/ markings of a Siamese; her ears and other parts? My mum says she reminds her of the Siamese she had when she was a kid.
