A close up of an origami crane in the tree. My sister and I made 1000 of these in assorted sizes and they were scattered throughout the venue. For example: ceremony trees, hanging from chairs down the aisle, all centerpieces, in glasses on the bar...

We used the same stationer for our STDs, invitations, programs, escort cards and table number. These all had the same design theme.

I love the Carneros Inn! It was our first choice but their site fee was outrageous. It was either Carneros Inn with a highly scaled back decor budget, or Solage Calistoga with money to play with.

I have no regrets!

At $400+/night for their cottage rates alone, I cannot even IMAGINE what the venue costs were! Your choice was perfect - you got those cabanas, that reception room, and the gorgeous grounds to play with for photos. Plus, you get the advantage of a unique venue experience since the Solage is all new and stuff SO LUCKY! I will never have the budget to have a wedding at a place like that, so thank you for indulging my LIW daydreams today!

I''ll be very sad to see my lovely dress go. It was a hard decision. I think I am okay selling it because I know I''m never going to wear it again and it won''t do me any good sitting in the closet. If the dress were less expensive I might consider keeping it, but I feel weird about having that money sitting in the closet. I know this is a cliche, but I truly want another bride to enjoy my dress. It would make me so happy. I''m communicating with a few buyers now, and one woman seems as enthralled with the dress as I am. I would love for it to make another bride''s dream come true.

We splurged on top notch photo and video, so combined with my dress sketch, I think I have enough to remember my dress. Every time I see it in photos I smile at the memories. Also, I am going to use the proceeds from the sale to buy a pave eternity band. It will last forever and I''m happy to have that instead of a dress in a box.
