I posted a while ago that I've been looking for smallish (<0.5) princess stones, and for some time I'd been looking closely at excel, but then they suddenly dropped all their AGS-0 princess stuff completely. So I called up WF with a budget of around 600, SI1+ and I+ and they brought in the attached guy. Depth 72.9 Table 58.8 Crown Height 9.5

Is that just too much leakage on the sides of the table? A lot of princess (except the hand-picked stuff) has some, but I wonder if this is just too much. I'm getting to the point where I am tempted to just totally blow away my budget so I can be 'done' with picking one, but I don't think I'll be happy with that in the end. (Neither will she if she ever found out.)

edit: I mean, I understand what ASET and Ideal images are showing me here, I just don't know how that will actually look.

Can you post the pic of the actual diamond too please?

Thanks!

The diamond looks nice, there does look to be a bit of leakage there in the images, what I would do is ask WF if this leakage is visible to the eye to detriment of the diamond, in this size range it may not be something that the human eye can perceive. They will be completely honest with you and if this diamond isn''t suitable they might be able to suggest another.

I personally think the leakage is too much, and I''d like to see a more symmetric looking ASET. I''d check out James Allen as well as WF for stones in this size range. I personally like the look of this stone, though it''s slightly over budget. You would have to find out why they rated the cut as "good" even though it looks nicer to me than some of the ones they call "ideal." Ask for Idealscope pics and more detailed photos if you''re interested (JA doesn''t provide ASETs).
