Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I got bad news, too.

I'm sending you prayers and hoping for the best news possible on Sept. 18th.

Absolutely this. Also, not all “NCI Designated Cancer Centers” are equal, speaking from experience. Team skilled in Neoadjuvant therapy, yes. Also talk to your oncologist about specific lifestyle changes to compliment therapy. My hopes are for your complete healing.

I will be treated at OHSU. It’s the best choice I think considering my insurance.

Best wishes for a successful outcome!

Hi,

This is tough news to get. I hope you have good support and great doctors. I wish the best outcome for you. So sorry.

Thinking of you.

Keeping you in my thoughts!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I just saw your news, @Mrsz1ppy. I am glad that you posted it because I see that you received not only support but a great deal of knowledge from women who have undergone treatment themselves and women who have not. I haven't been spending as much time on Pricescope as I used to and I forgot what a wonderful resource it is for wisdom and information when one has a medical problem. I will pray for you as are many other people from this forum and also send you warm thoughts. I believe you are in very good hands.

(((Hugs)))

Thank you kindly, @purplesilk and @Avondale.

Am just getting over Covid! Not fair!

Had the first appointment with the oncologist today. Have a gruelling session of 20 weeks of chemo starting in a couple of weeks, after an echocardiogram and port install.

Have ordered some turbans that can be decorated with brooches, to integrate some fun into this horror show of no manicures and no hair!

Totally not fair to get COVID on top of everything else. @Mrsz1ppy I have always appreciated your wisdom and knowledge about jewelry on this forum, and I look forward to many more years of your sharing that knowledge. We are all here for you whenever you need a diversion, or to vent, or support, you name it.

Sorry you‘ve had to deal with Covid on top of everything else, but at least now you should have some good immunity for a bit, right? I love your idea for brooches on turbans. I’m thinking Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. Tres chic!
I hope we can provide you some distraction and comfort here. You’ll get through this, big hugs!!

Thinking of you @Mrsz1ppy. I’m sorry to hear you are dealing with covid on top of this. Please know you have a group of people here to support you.

Wishing you strength, @Mrsz1ppy. I'm so sorry that you are going through this.

Covid on top is not fair at all! Your turban idea is amazing sounding! So many beautiful and stylish things. If you feel comfortable sharing photos of the brooches and/or the turbans, I would love to see. A family friend always looked spectacular in her various turbans and scarves.

On a practical note, have you looked at accessible tops that allow easy access to ports at the same time as being comfortable to wear? I know a couple of people who used that sort of thing some years back. It looked like there are a lot more options for that sort of thing now.

I shall be discovering if my current style, which has always been low cut, will work for my new lifestyle!
