Now I really did it :((

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the pool today, swam lanes then did the treadmill. The water was warm, I didn't want to get out!!! The weather is decent--+8C, but I see yucky temps this weekend. Not gonna think about it.

@marcy I hope your DH enjoys some fun stuff while down under. Stay safe and warm--and away from the ice!

@missy Bobby's cute little face! Makes me sad the other cats are mean to him. They don't know what they are missing.

@Austina glad you enjoyed your cruise. I told my DH about your cruise line and he went down the rabbit hole...I was even interested!!!! I can handle small ships.

@Jemi love your pictures--unusual for you to have winter I suppose. Your horse is adorbs!

@Slickk hope your work week is good. But sorry for the stressful conditions you are experiencing.

That's it. Work tomorrow.

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

 You’re on the slippery slope now @canuk-gal. We don’t do big ships either, too peopley!

Sounds like retirement is calling @Slickk, it’s not fun working in conditions that cause you stress.

Hope all is well with you @missy.

We got back last night, unpacked and caught up on some series we watch. Went out and stocked up today, cold weather is coming our way next week, so want to be prepared to not having to go out.

Off to trivia tonight, we’ve been keeping our hand in while we were away!

Be safe and warm lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!

Decent work day today. But colleagues are sick...so work short and I've picked up extra. Tis the season....unfortunately.

@Austina oh yes the boat size , hence people numbers are a factor. I can't deal with that on a vacation. Even tho one has to get thru big airports etc etc....and massive airplanes...

cheers--Sharon

Good morning lovely ladies and happy terrific Thursday.

Yesterday was busy as we headed into the city to see our endocrinologist who I love. He is a very kind man and just easy to talk to. Down to earth, smart and flexible and willing to hear our thoughts and suggestions.

Today we both have telemedicine appointments and next week Greg's doing an early colonoscopy due to several reasons.
I am a bit concerned just because his medical history isn't clear and so my radar is up.

It's very chilly here and windy and more snow is on the way unfortunately. So far the ferals are all well and managing but I am worried and pray the upcoming snow and our current literal freezing temps (20s F windchills in the single digits) won't harm them in any way.

Saturday we bring jasper to my sister for dental work as his teeth are bad. Genetics plays a strong role when young cats have bad teeth. Gracie also has bad teeth but we just had dental work done on her mouth and now it is Jasper's turn.

@canuk-gal thanks, me too. I try spending a lot of time with Bobby and he is purring usually when I am with him. Mornings are our special time as we keep the other three in their playpens and Bobby and I spend a couple of hours just hanging out together. He is with me right now purring. Sorry people at work are sick and glad you can be there to help out. Hope the workweek continues to go smoothly for you

@Austina welcome home and so glad you enjoyed a wonderful trip. And hope you had a great time at trivia night

Good morning @Slickk @finerthings @springerspaniel @marcy and everyone else. Hope all is well.

Jasper's new favorite place lol
Not funny but I am super careful before turning on the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer now because Jasper is a rascal

Screen Shot 2025-01-16 at 6.10.48 AM.png

He is a handsome fella

Screen Shot 2025-01-16 at 6.16.20 AM.png

And Gracie is once again a daddy's girl now that jasper hangs out on my lap in the evenings...

Screen Shot 2025-01-16 at 6.11.06 AM.png

We should all have people we adore as much as Gracie adores Greg. :kiss2:

Have a terrific Thursday all. Be well. Enjoy. XOXO

Hello lovelies

Jasper is so handsome @missy, his coat is so glossy. I hope your sister can get his teeth in good order. I hope your telemedicine calls went went today, and fingers crossed Greg’s colonoscopy comes back all clear. I’m glad your endocrinologist is approachable and you feel comfortable with him.

Honestly @canuk-gal, the ship we just got off only had 700 passengers on board, and it didn’t feel full or overcrowded at all.

Had a busy day, we went to Costco for a few things, then I came home and spent most of the day cooking. Got a few meals ready for the freezer, and cooked our Christmas dinner, Turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese, sausages, bacon rolls and gravy. We didn’t really have a proper Christmas dinner on the ship, so decided we’d do it once we got home.

Washing and ironing to do tomorrow, lots of linen items!

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are keeping safe and warm :wavey:

Good morning lovely ladies and happy FriYAY

@Austina so pleased the cruise was wonderful and I prefer a less crowded ship too. I used to enjoy cruises very much and one of my favorite trips was our Alaska cruise in 1995? I cannot remember the year oy to the vey lol. I also went on th QE2 in her heyday and we went to Canada. It was a fun cruise. I never had a bad cruising experience. But our last cruise was over three decades ago I think lol. Thanks for all your well wishes. So unfortunately Bobby started bleeding again yesterday and it went through to the mattress cover...we have decided to bring him along with Jasper (for dental for Jasper) to my sister's office Saturday. I hate hate hate making that long trip with Bobby but our local vet is not helpful and Debbie said she will see if she can remove the skin tag. If she can't I do not know what we can do. Bobby's low platelets makes all of this challenging since his bleeding is hard to stop. The KWIK powder did not really help. Blood was everywhere on him and the bed. floors etc. It was a mess. On top of this his cancer and the other cats not being nice to him and it makes for a very challenging existence for us all. But he is still eating (somewhat) and still purring so we soldier on...praying my sister can help him, In the meantime I ordered a waterproof blanket for our king bed to see if that helps prevent the blood from ruining everything on the bed. We washed everything again yesterday after he bled but well we cannot wash the entire mattress. Bobby is more important than things of course but I would like to prevent blood getting on the mattress. If possible

Good morning @Slickk happy FriYAY and almost weekend woohoo

@canuk-gal hope work is continuing to go well

Hello everyone else. Snow and very very frigid temps are coming and all the feral cat groups I belong to are all quite concerned. Please let winter be over soon and without any cat or other casualties

Today we are going for a hike as the temps are going to reach 40 F but after today it plummets. Tomorrow making the long trek to Great Neck and then the snow arrives. 5-8" is what is being predicted here. Great. Anyway, enjoy and stay cozy warm and comfy XOXO

HI:

NIRDI shout out from a COLD and snowy part of the world. Flurries have just started and I wish they'd end in 5 minutes...but unlikely to be the case. Arctic front is here and I am not very happy. But it is supposed to be only for 3 days. Work was good yesterday. I took my DH out for lunch today and it was lovely as usual...enough leftover for supper. I drove cuz he always has a spaz driving.

@missy I hope the dental issues get sorted and sorry for the rebleed issues. Hope that gets dealt with also. Take care!! I think we'll watch The Fablemans tonight on Netflix. And it seems Jasper will do anything to get your attention!

@Austina do you have another trip planned soon? Our dollar is dropping like a rock, make for unaffordable travel. :(sad

@marcy how is your DH doing? Keeping busy?

@Jemi still got snow on the ground?

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

@Jemi I did see the Wolf Moon and Mars. I didn’t get a picture.

@missy that is a tough call about insurance. I don’t know how good Cobra is, I know it’s pricey. I was thinking of you when I was trying to get a stud in my left ear. My two index fingers are so bent, I couldn’t get the earring on. I got to giggling and I wouldn’t remember what angle you said they become useless. Mine must be there. Glad to hear Bobby is eating some, I hate to hear he is bleeding so bad. That is so cute how much Gracie loves Greg.

@Austina glad to hear you enjoyed the cruise and darn your flight was delayed. Marty had a string of delays getting home tonight. He is one the last plane right now. Yay. Your belated Christmas dinner sounds delicious. I was going to make myself a batch of mini pizzas tonight, but decided that sounded like too much work.

@canuk-gal a warm pool sounds great right now, I can see why you wouldn’t want to get out of the pool. That arctic front is here too. It looks to last until mid-week. Ugh. I’ve got a full length fleece robe on right now with a blanket doubled up on my lap. Brutal cold coming for a few days. Glad you had a decent work day.

I’ve kept busy with work. Marty got on a plane in Australia yesterday at about 5 p.m. our time. They took off late and only 4 of 7 toilets were working for an 18 hour flight. I hope that turned out okay. He was debating to spring for an upgrade to 1st class, I urged him to do it and I could tell by the bill on the credit card, he did. He said he wasn’t all crippled up when they landed in Houston. He had long lay overs between flights, he’s been burned too many times cutting them close.

I had been keeping an eye on the weather and decided to drop off a vehicle for him at the airport so I didn’t have to venture out tonight. I was just going to leave my car, but he wanted the pickup because he can start it remotely. I rarely drive the pickup, so I had a friend drive it to the airport for me and I took her home. Her husband was nice and dropped her off here early today. It turned out to be a good call the snow started about noon and temperatures were plummeting all day. There is an accident alert in town, so I’m glad I don’t have to venture out to pick Marty up. He should be landing in about 30 minutes and hopefully home in an hour.

I did arrange this greeting for him:

Take care.

Good morning girls! Happy Caturday Saturday!

Leaving in a little while with Bobby and Jasper and I am apprehensive for both of them. Also we saw Sasha last night (feral male cat) and he was injured. Unable to put weight on his front right leg. This is very bad as we are expecting 6-8" of snow and single digit temps for the next 7 days. Sasha is not a trappable cat either (one and done when we neutered him years ago) as he is too smart to go into the trap after having done it once. Plus we wouldn't be able to anyway with this weather. So I am very upset. We lost another feral years ago similar issue. Hurt leg, winter weather and one day she was gone. Snowflake. We do the best we can but it's not always enough. So yeah last night I was crying very upset and it's all overwhelming. Bobby with cancer and a bleeding disorder. Tommy gone. And now Sasha. And the worry about the other feral cats with this horrible brutal weather. I am compartmentalizing as much as I can and just praying today goes smoothly. Another concern is anesthesia for jasper's dental work. Small risk but still a risk he can have a bad reaction. But we cannot live our lives in fear and his bad teeth will hurt his health so we decided we have to do it. Just praying nothing bad happens. I am exhausted with emotional worry and know I have to stop this pattern. Thanks for letting me share

@canuk-gal thank you. And yes Jasper is a sweet rascal lol. I am going to check out that recommendation the Fablemans. Never heard of it but I am not in the loop. We were watching old movies always great never disappoint. If you haven't seen the Dutch version of "The Vanishing" and like scary movies I highly recommend it. I am over the snow too I hate cold weather. I hate snow. Bah humbug lol. So my connective tissue specialist who does the finger injections can squeeze me in next Thursday at 8AM but I told her I have to let her know because it might be contraindicated with Dupuytren's but my chilblains is painful and this is the only treatment that works on me. Double ugh. What to do, what to do. My general derm talked to her to get me in earlier but now I am having doubts. Greg wants me to do it (cost not covered by insurance over $2500 each time and it is only temporary) but I do not want to make my dupuytren's worse. It's a dilemma. I contacted my hand surgeon and he said I could go ahead but he told me to please check with my RO to make sure there are no cotraindications with radiation therapy. Of course my RO is unreachable so I cannot contact him. Thanks for letting me share and think out loud. I told the connective tissue disease specialist I would let her know Monday. Two days to think about yes or no

@marcy yay for Marty's safe arrival home and how thoughtful you left the pickup for him and what a great friend to help you out. I love the homecoming you have set up for Marty. I would enjoy coming home to that lol. I am very sorry to hear about your bent fingers. When my pinky was bent 38 degrees I was still OK using it. Have you consulted with a hand surgeon? Why are they bent? Big hugs and healing wishes. If this were me I would definitely consult a good hand specialist. I have the best but he is in NJ...if you want to come here you can stay with us just so you know

@Slickk happy Caturday Saturday...have fun and stay warm and safe with all this snow and very below freezing temps

Hello everyone else. Have a great weekend and be well XOXO

We went hiking yesterday on the diamond trail (challenging) and we have been doing the diamond trail for the past few weeks in different parks. Not too bad. The biggest challenge for me are avoiding the roots because leaves are everywhere and the roots are what make me fall

Screen Shot 2025-01-18 at 6.03.22 AM.png

And for Caturday Saturday...Jasper laying between us last night on the couch. Gracie was on my lap all night

Screen Shot 2025-01-18 at 6.02.52 AM.png

Enjoy a wonderful weekend all XOXO

HI ladies - just wanted to drop in to let you all know the results of my mammogram/ultrasound on Friday (finally!)

Not cancer. Not even a lump, technically speaking.

Remember the really bad fall I had last August? Turns out, I impacted my sternum/right side ribs so hard, that I tore a rib away from the sternum (called costochondral separation). One end of it has been floating around in my chest and settled into the back of my breast about 3 months ago and has been poking into my lower breast ever since (yes - it hurts as much as that sounds). The 'lump' I feel is the broken end of my rib. Given that it's aching more over time, I might have to have it surgically reattached, which means having it wired to the sternum. I've noticed I've developed a dry cough over the last month, so it may also be irritating the lung.

Glad it's not cancer. Dreading the surgery possibility, as it's not a nice surgery.

Thank you for your prayers and kind wishes while I've been waiting for the tests - I think you'd have to say that the results were...good-to-mixed.

Love to you all. <3

Great update @mrs-b ♥️

Girls, bad news at the vet. I can’t go into it. Suffice to say the cats, Greg and I, are ready for some relief

Have a great day girls XOXO

Hello lovelies

So glad you’ve found out what the problem is and it’s not the dreaded C word @mrs-b. Hopefully you can get it fixed without too much trauma.

Our friends arrive in 8 weeks @canuk-gal, and we’re going on a cruise with them a few days after. Sorry your weather is brutal, stay safe and war,

I hope Marty gets back safely tonight @marcy, I’m glad he upgraded on the way back, I can’t even begin to imagine flying all that way in anything other than first. Your weather sounds horrendous, I hope the roads are n’t too bad for his drive from the airport.

Oh no @missy, I’m sorry to hear about the kitties and poor little Sacha. I hope he can find somewhere safe and warm to rest up and heal. It’s never ending with the kitties and I’m sorry the news wasn’t what you were hoping for.

Spent most of the day ironing, so glad it’s done, I love wearing linen but it’s a bugga to iron !

FT our friends tomorrow, the luggage tags and paperwork arrived this week, so they’re getting excited.

Our weather is getting colder this week down to 20, yikes.

Be well lovely NIRDIs.

Good morning lovely ladies and happy big and small dog Sunday

@Austina wow 20F. That is cold for Texas. You can imagine how cold it is here and how cold next week is predicted to be. Thank you for your well wishes for Sasha. So concerned about the feral kitties as if we didn't have enough to worry about. But that's the thing about worry. It's never in short supply (for me) unfortunately. I saw Sasha yesterday afternoon and he ate a lot thank goodness we had the wet food there for him. But he isn't putting any weight on that front leg and I just do not see how he can make it through the brutal cold coming. My heart breaks for him and all the ferals but right now since Sasha is severely injured it is Sasha I am so so worried about. Enjoy your FT with friends today and enjoy a lovey Sunday HUGS

@Slickk happy Sunday sweet friend. Hope your weekend is going well. My niece goes back to college tomorrow. She was home a full month already. Went so fast. I know my sister is sad she is going back. Not easy. XOXO

@canuk-gal I think our weather is now rivaling yours lol. This is a contest I do not want to win. Please take your cold weather back where it belongs  Enjoy a wonderful Sunday HUGS

@mrs-b hope you are feeling well and even though the news was a bit mixed I think it is a wonderful update. No cancer is really the important takeaway and I am so relieved for you. XOXO

@springerspaniel hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend

OK long post ahead...feel free to skip. I am not in the best frame of mind and just need to get it out. But if you are not up for a depressing post please skip it. I do not want to bring anyone down. It's enough I feel this way.

What a nightmare this is...I am 100% serious. A waking nightmare

We went to my sister's clinic yesterday early morning and her boss was there (he gets there at 6AM every day and he is in his mid 80s) and Debbie was not yet there because it was only 820AM and she gets there at 9AM. However, because we are coming from three hours away we have to leave extra time in case of traffic and boy was there traffic. Long story short her boss takes us back because he cannot stand around doing nothing. I couldn't say no but we wanted to see my sister not him. We go a long way back and he took care of all our cats when my sister was on maternity leave. And so we go back with him.

He does the surgical procedure on Bobby (skin tag removal because he keeps bleeding there) with me warning him Bobby has low platelets due to his lymphoma most likely. He tells me not to worry. He does the surgery stitches him up and then my sister arrives.

My sister does the dental work on Jasper. That goes smoothly. Great. Then she checks Bobby too and gives him another steroid shot (for the cancer to help his appetite and keep him comfortable) and she also gives him antibiotic shot because of the surgical procedure and we are good to go. With me keeping Jasper on my lap in his carrier the entire trip back home to make sure he is not doing a face dive because he is still loopy from the anesthesia and can suffocate himself. Otherwise we would have had to stay there for at least another four hours. So I keep close watch on Jasper the entire ride back home.

We get home all is OK. Everyone is eating and seems fine. That night around 6PM I go to check on Bobby (I had been checking on him all day and everything was fine) and there is blood everywhere. EVERYWHERE. SO MUCH blood. From a little kitty. Pools of it. Upstairs downstairs on the bed on all his cat beds on the floor on the stairs on the walls. I am in disbelief about how much blood there is. Bobby runs under the bed.

We clean it up partially and plan on bringing Bobby to the animal hosptial even though on Saturday night we will get the B staff. I call Debbie first. The clinic is closed as it is past 6PM. She's driving home and tells me not to bring him to the hospital. Wait it out she tells us.. Even with low platelets he should clot if the platelet count is at least 50000 which it was last time we did bloodwork two weeks ago. OMG. She told us to leave Bobby alone.

So we followed her instructions and we finished cleaning up the blood and doing more laundry. At this point I was worried sick. And prayed he would be able to clot and that he would be OK. We left him alone the rest of the evening and he did come downstairs to hang out so that was a positive sign. We go to bed but he doesn't join us which is unusual. I somehow finally fall asleep but an uneasy sleep. I keep waking looking for Bobby but he's not in the bedroom.

This morning Bobby ate (good sign) but I am not sure if he is still bleeding. I don't see pools of blood but he might still be oozing. He is on the bed next to me as I type this. So he seems OK mood wise. I cannot go into further details about another cat issue we might (very likely) be dealing with because it is too upsetting. But suffice to say if I can get the kitties and us through this whole it will be a miracle. Greg is my rock and even he was upset but when he saw how I just broke down when we found out what we might be dealing with (besides the cancer) he said we will be OK we can deal with it and everything will be fine. But girls, I don't know. I know we have to do what we have to do but I don't know if I am strong enough.

And through all of this I am so badly missing my sweet Tommy boy. The sweetest cat ever. Such a gentle sweet soul. Greg misses him too of course. My heart hurts so much missing him.

Sorry about making this post all about me. I just needed to get it out.

Today in another couple of hours snow is coming and with it bitter cold temps. We did not see the ferals this AM which is unusual as it is not that cold out yet. But I have to compartmentalize for my emotional sanity right now and so I am and will continue doing so as long as I have to. I wish everyone a very good Sunday. Enjoy. Be well. XOXO

@missy my heart truly aches for you. I am so sorry for all that you and Greg are dealing with. Just too much sorrow and stress at one time. I'm keeping you and your kitties in my thoughts. ((((hugs))))

Tysm. I hesitate to keep posting because I’m such a downer but I appreciate so much your support and well wishes and irl I’ve spoken to no one but three close friends. And Greg and my sister of course. We will get through it because we have no choice. Just praying for the kitties. Thank you finerthings ♥️

Love you so much, @missy!

Aww same! ♥️
You all mean the world to me. I’m sure I would have broken down much more than I did if not for your love and support. I may not have met all of you in person but I 100% consider you true blue friends. Words aren’t enough to express how I feel. Thank you for everything

Oh @missy, I’m so sorry that this never ending nightmare is causing you so much pain. I honestly don’t know which is worse, dealing with an ill pet knowing the end is coming, or the shock of something happening suddenly. Either way, it’s heartbreaking and you wouldn’t be human if it didn’t affect you profoundly. I’m sure non pet people don’t understand how devastating it is, and how much we love our furry friends. I know you know this, but you’ ve always gone above and beyond, and I know you always will.

HI:

@missy never ending worry, isn't it? I am so glad your furry clan have you and Greg: you guys are the best!!!

kind regards--Sharon

GM girls and happy marvelous snowy Monday

@Austina thank you for your very kind comforting words. I hope you enjoyed a good FT yesterday with your friends

@canuk-gal thank you very much. I know this is how life works. I just don't like it. But one day, one hour, at a time

@Slickk have a terrific day off and stay warm...got a lot of snow here

@finerthings hope you had a lovely weekend and looking forward to a good week

@springerspaniel thank you so much for your support and love. It's been a challenging time but we will (no choice) get through it. But it's just overwhelming. Today the snow and for the rest of the week frigid temps. Those poor feral cats. I cannot enjoy being in the warmth of my home knowing they are out there suffering. :(

Hello everyone else. We got a decent amount of snow (6"?) and Greg shoveled a path last night at 10PM for the feral cats to the food. But I know they aren't coming out in this weather and there is no let up til the very end of the week, Please keep them in your prayers if you can. Bobby is eating and so far no more hemorrhaging thank goodness. Wishing you all a marvelous Monday. Stay safe. Enjoy. Be well.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I am so sorry to hear how Bobby is struggling, my heart is breaking with you. I am glad he is eating today and doesn’t appear to be bleeding. My message finger (ha ha) is probably 45 degrees at the last knuckle, my index finger is maybe 40 degrees. My left hand message finger is started to bend there. Ugh. Me, see a doctor? I’m bad about that. I attribute it to arthritis, but I can’t say it’s been diagnosed. That is too bad trying to fix one health issue can make another worse. That is why I avoid doctors. I know that feeling. I hope everything works out for you. Big hugs to you and Greg and the kitties.

@mrs-b yay for no cancer found with your mammogram. OMG that floating rib that is under your breast. Yes, that sounds very painful. My FIL just fell this weekend and cracked his sternum. I know it has to be very painful for both of you. Hoping it’s an easy fix for you and the cough is nothing. Keeping you in my thoughts.

@Austina are you getting any of the snow this week? I didn’t send it your way. That’ll be fun going on a cruise with some friends. Yes, linen is comfortable but requires ironing. It frays bad too. I remember making myself a jumper with it and trying to pink the seams to keep them from fraying. It was a waste of time.

Marty got home late Friday night. We stayed home all weekend. Marty did venture to the gym this morning but is getting his typical post trip crud so stayed home tonight. His new job continues to be a major PITA. His first check is supposed to be posted tomorrow, but nothing is showing up nor is a paystub posted. We signed up for insurance finally today. A different company for vision and dental that is probably not even accepted here in town. That’s a shame on vision, what we had was great. It covered about 80% of our glasses. Then it took me forever to figure out what percentage to withhold in his 401K. Who knew CAP means 401K deduction on a pay stub? I didn’t. He has no idea how to submit his expenses for his trip.

Our weather is like many of yours - cold, windy and snowy.

Take care.
Marcy

Hello lovelies

IMG_0039.jpegIMG_0038.jpeg

Hmm, it certainly looks like you sent some over @marcy! Bit of a winter wonderland here. :) Ugh sorry to hear about Marty’s post trip drip, it’s a long time to be on a plane. Hopefully the money situation will get sorted out quickly. We didn’t add optical or dental to our insurance, it really upped the premium, and fortunately we’re able to get those locally at a reasonable price.

Thankfully our snow is relatively minor compared to yours @missy, but everything is closed around here. Good job too as people just don’t know how to drive in it. We knew it was coming, so stocked up when we went shopping last week. Hope everything is ok with you, and Bobby is continuing to eat.

I’m sure our snow is just a sprinkle for you @canuk-gal, but it’s enough to bring everything thing to halt here.

We’re staying in, keeping warm and safe until this is over.

For some reason the smilies aren’t working for me again.

Be safe and warm lovely NIRDIs.

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woke up yesterday to -20C and today woke up to +2C. Can't make this stuff up. But the wind was very cold today and gusty!!!!! Went for a consult for laser skin tightening...jury is out on that one. Then went to my DS place to bring supplies as he as been on vacation for a week and is coming home very late tonight and work tomorrow. Every little bit helps.

@Austina I didn't see that white paint on my bingo card! I think you might more snow than us! LOL. Certainly @missy does. Yanno, snow sends people off the deep end...even here. But of course in your neck of the woods you are not the least prepared for it. Good to stick around home.

@marcy sorry that your DH is feeling unwell. Always the same scenario when travelling long distances in a short time. Hope his new employer turns out to be a good one.

@missy one day, one minute. Be as well as you can. Healing vibes across the miles.

Work tomorrow and have a full day workshop on Friday. LOL I wanted to go to the pool and gym on Friday. Oh well.

@mrs-b and @MamaBee hope everything is well with ya'll.

cheers--Sharon

Good morning girls and happy wonderful Wednesday from the freezing jersey shore in literal single digit temperature with negative windchills. My poor furry ferals, We have a double heated bowl for wet food plus the heated water bowl and last night I did see a cat (Sasha? Not sure it was dark and it was a black cat) eating from the new heated food bowl but no sign of any cats but that one for a few days. Very worried

Yesterday Greg's colonoscopy and endoscopy went smoothly but the gastro had to biopsy several areas in his esophagus and removed a polyp from Greg's colon which is also being biopsied.

@marcy I am sorry marty is not feeling well and hope he is much better today. Traveling is so hard on the body. I remember when I used to fly and travel and when I got home I did feel beat up and took me many days to recover. The further I went the longer the recovery for me. I am sorry his job is a PITA. Do not miss that. Ugh to your fingers. Girl, I wish I was there to take you to the doctor, I thought my bent finger was arthritis too (I was in denial) but my disease is rare and I am pretty sure you don't have it but I'd recommend just confirming it is arthritis. I get your reluctance though believe me. I gave up a coveted appointment to help my chilblains from ulcerating just because I am sick of going to the doctors but also worried it will make my DC worse. I am very grateful for your well wishes for our kitties. I am worried sick but one day, one hour at a time. I appreciate the love and support and hugs and right back at ya. XOXO

@Austina wow. Snow. Unreal. It is so cold here. Not fit for life. I cannot wait for spring. Glad you are stocked up and thanks for the well wishes for Bobby. Hope your snow melts soon. I am getting good use of my Galmour OlAng boots which I have in many colors. The only positive of winter is my winter clothing which I enjoy XOXO

@canuk-gal I am betting our temps are colder than yours...6 degrees F windchill negative temps F. Stay warm and cozy and let's all pray for an early spring. TYSM for your healing vibes. Much appreciated XOXO

@Slickk hope you are enjoying a nice short work week and staying warm and cozy (((hugs)))

@MamaBee hope all is going well XOXO

Hello everyone else. Yesterday while waiting for Greg's to have his procedures I met two women and we were chatting for three hours we were there. And we exchanged numbers before I left (their suggestion). So funny how you meet people who can later become friends. They were both a bit older than me (75 and 70) but we had so much in common. And one is from Brooklyn originally lol. We always say many of the people we meet anywhere were originally from Brooklyn ha. And one was a nurse (retired) who warned us against being in the hospital. Which I know and take to heart. My surgeon told me in 2014 to stay away from hospitals (and doctors) -they'll kill you. LOL not LOL. But we don't always get a choice do we? On that note wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday. Be well. XOXO

Even with these frigid temps we took a walk Monday (streets were deserted) and here are a few photos from that walk. First one is our backyard
Snow on the beach. Not a common occurrence

May your Wednesday be warm and wonderful

Good morning lovely ladies! And happy terrific Thursday...the week is flying by

And finally some good news to report!
The cats are OK (Bobby still has cancer of course but the concern with the other cats is gone for now)
What a HUGE relief

I am still a bit on edge just in case the results were not accurate
But praying the results and the veterinarians are correct
What a few weeks this has been

Praying still for all the feral cats. It's still bitterly cold out here and Mother Nature just unrelenting in her brutality

I hope everyone is staying warm and cozy and doing well

Sending love and warmth and gentle hugs to all who need it
XOXO

Hello lovelies

Finally some good news for you @missy. So glad to hear the other kitties are ok, I know poor Bobby is still a major concern, and I hope he’s still eating.

I hope Marty is feeling better @marcy and they’ve got around to paying him, do they think you can live on fresh air?

Thankfully the weather has warmed up here, it’s 50 degrees today :-) better than the 22 it was the other day. L and I went out for a walk yesterday, an it was quite pleasant out.

The roads are clear so we went to Trivia yesterday - and we won, we were the top bananas 8-)

Did our food shopping today, and our neighbour contacted me about helping his source some lab diamonds as a surprise for L for their anniversary. She saw mine and fell in love 8-)2

Keep safe and warm :wavey:

Good morning girls and happy FriYAY!

@Austina wow 50F I want some of that LOL but glad for you to enjoy some beautiful temps. Our poor ferals. Praying for Sasha. We saw Pepsi and Dr Pepper this AM and they ate the wet food in their heated bowls. It's genius for keeping the wet food from freezing. LOVE Amazon. But have not seen Sasha for a few days (injured kitty) and worried sick about him. Thank you for your continued well wishes for Bobby. He is still eating TG but he is on the steroid injections which is likely the only reason he is eating. I wish they worked for Tommy. I still question our decision to put Tommy down but I know we did (what we thought was) the best we could for him. Just wasn't good enough :( Not surprised your neighbor fell in love with your bling...your taste is exquisite and impeccable. We went food shopping too yesterday. Stores were empty so weird. Yay for winning trivia. What fun...hugs

@Slickk woohoo weekend is almost here and IIRC you have a four day weekend...sweet. Enjoy XOXO

@marcy hope all is well and Marty is feeling better. And got paid. Please take your cold weather away. I have had enough of it lol and hugs

@Inked hope all is going well and thanks for checking in...I am not completely at ease yet because the unknown is never fun and in this case worrisome. But hoping for the best. I know our past experiences color our present ones and I do have PTSD from that experience. Anyway have a great weekend bling sister XOXO

@canuk-gal I have been wearing my glamour boots all week. I always think of you when I wear them :) Hope all is well by you and work went smoothly this week and the family is good

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.
Greg and I ran errands yesterday and got what we needed.
We might hike today as the weather will warm up later to the 30s but right now it's 11 degrees. Poor kitties.
Praying (non religiously) so hard for all the outdoor animals especially the feral cats
And hoping all the NIRDIS remain well and happy
Sending love and hugs and all good things

Jasper hanging out on me last night as we were watching a movie in the living room. Watching Mr Brooks. Weird movie. But enjoyable. Jasper is one crazy sweet kitty. He likes to lay on my shoulder and neck at night and by 330AM he keeps switching sides every 10 minutes. As you can imagine it makes for not a peaceful sleep lol. Though when he is laying still purring I am very relaxed. Just at 330AM til we get up (445AM) he keeps going from shoulder to shoulder lol. Crazy kitty

Hi Missy. Gosh, I was gone for a week and it’s like a million things happen.
I hope you don’t second-guess yourself too much about Tommy. I still do that with several of my dear pets who are now gone, and anguish over it, but at the time I did the best I could. And you’ve done everything you could.
I hope Bobby is doing well, and I hope your ferals are riding out the weather.

Hi to everyone and hugs. We had a beautiful snowstorm, it is still below freezing, so no water at the barn, but all is well. It’s like going to CrossFit getting the water to the horses. It may not be fun, but it’s good exercise.

Amazed that there was worse snow south of us! And north, and west. A true winter for many of us.

A good day to everyone. XX

Marcy, I got a picture of the wolf moon, but I didn’t know that it was the wolf moon. I just knew that it was huge and so brightly illuminated in a lighted sky.
I leave the expert photographs to you.
