Now I really did it :((

Missy, You look beautiful! I'm with Junie and who ever else said you neighbor is crazy. It's your yard and you don't need to do what he wants you to do with it. I would be friendly but I wouldn't be trimming bushes, especially when seeing where his patio is located. He has some nerve. I never said anything to my neighbors when they were throwing all their half eaten food in their back yard and that was trash for crying out loud.

I am having major regrets about the car. I wish I had not signed the papers. I have to pick the car up today and I am dreading it.

Callie, please don't stress about the car. I am sure you will love it and that's the reason you chose it. What misgivings are you having? Have you shared them with Jeff? If necessary can you break the agreement to purchase it? I am sure it will work out and with every major (and sometimes not so major) purchase I have buyer's remorse at least for a while. (((HUGS))) and don't worry please. It will be OK.

When I was in early 20's my Dad bought me a car for my move to Colorado. I flew, the car was ready when I got there. I did not like the car.
Later my Dad said I could have refused it.
Pretty sure there is at least a space of a few days where you can "unsign".

Missy, your neighbors are being so ridiculous…returning the key, pul-eeze. How childish. And he has some nerve texting you like that. But you know what, I'm glad Greg put the cans back because it shows you guys are not petty and ridiculous like them. I hope it made Al feel uncomfortable.

Love your earrings! They look great on you and will be fun to wear. And your new glasses look fabulous on you! Yes, sometimes when the weather is lousy shopping is the thing to do! :cheeky:

Sounds like the work situation is improving and you will have more patients!

Calliecake, I have a feeling once you're being the wheel and driving your new car, you will love it. I agree with missy that it is pretty normal to have some buyer's remorse, particularly with major purchases. Is there anything specific you're having second thoughts about? Try not to worry too much, and I will be thinking about you and hoping you end up being happy with it! Nothing is written in stone though, if you are unhappy with it I'm sure something can be worked out.

Missy, Jimmianne and Junebug, A HUGE thank you for your kind words. I really would like a coupe (husband hates them). I feel like a spoiled brat. It's a gorgeous car. I originally picked out a different color car with light interior. I preferred black leather but it was not available. The girl in service took me a side and asked if I wear dark wash jeans, which I do. The color transfers on to the leather even with all the leather protection in the car. So last night I changed the car color so I could have black interior. Now I just have all this regret becuase it's a four door and I feel I am going to be unhappy. It just is way too much money to spend when I'm not excited about the car, if that makes sense. Any comments would be so helpful right now as I have to go pick up the car in a few hours. I may trying calling and ask if I can cancel the dela and just keep the car I have and look again in month or so. I also got the typical pressure about how I would never get this good deal again and if I waited I would pay much more for the car.

Calliecake, I'm a little out of my league here so not sure what to advise - I see your point about spending a lot of money on something you're not excited about - if you are really regretting the purchase, I think maybe you should call now and see what your options are - I'm thinking it might get more complicated once you drive the car off the lot. So sorry about this!

Cruise?

ARGH, hate 'em  I used to inspect the boats in Juneau, Alaska, and I even went on a cruise with my first husband's family. Unless its one of those extreme luxury cruises, I'm out, LOL, not that you need me in the first place

For me, cruises are WalMart on the High Seas.

Calliecake, I've been thinking about you today. What did you decide to do?

Hi Kids!

Callie, I really hate to hear you have serious doubts and reservations about your car. I hope you were able to back out of it today until you feel like it’s what you want to do. Work is about the same. I am really struggling with dealing with over achievers versus slackers; Marty told me tonight to tell the over achievers when the other 3 people earn as much as they do and have the same position we’ll talk. NEXT!!!

Kristie, we got our cellular shade over the door today. We both actually like it. I think what we don’t like about the sidelight and window in the door is they are outside (on top) the frame not inside. The shade over the door is inside the window. I am glad to hear what you think of cruises. My in-laws always want us to go on one with them and I am reluctant to say the least. How is Finn doing?

Missy, I love a fireplace going on a chilly day. I used mine a lot this winter when Marty was gone and it was snowy outside. I love your new earrings; they are fun! You look beautiful – I like your glasses and earrings. That is great you will be busier at work. I use a ton of that release foil for cooking and baking; I love it. Wad it up, throw it away and the dishes are done. It does sound like your neighbors are acting like third graders.

Jimmianne, good idea to take an empty suitcase. Will it be full of bling when you come home? I think I want a SUV when I need a new car but that’s years away.

Junebug, I like what you said about lousy weather is a good time to shop. Wyoming has 9 months of bad weather so I’m good to go.

We tried a newer BBQ place at the mall for supper then walked around a while. I looked at thinner bands for my wedding band and Marty looked at golf clubs. I bet that surprised everyone. I asked my gemologist at WF to take a picture of their Odyssey ring with a band like my ering. What do I need 3 bands for? Who knows but I want a thinner one to add to my collection. This one is thinner than my other bands but not as much; it’s 3.3 mm. If I go thinner though the diamonds get mighty small.

It was beautiful here today. It got to 80 degrees and amazingly there wasn’t much wind.

My right rear tire was whining again about being underinflated. They couldn’t find a nail in it but did put more sealant on the last 2 nail patches and replaced the valve stem. I told them I have a problem hitting curbs. Maybe I should be looking at Michelins instead of a band. Those tires will cost more than that band.

Have a great day tomorrow.
Marcy

Callie, what ended up happening? For that much money, I sure hope you get something you love.

Missy, those earrings are fabulous! It's nice to be able to get fabulous without the accompanying price right? I wish I could wear those but my stupid ears will tolerate only platinum. :angryfire: Your neighbor is an immature idiot. What a loser. Returning the key. It's probably better that he doesn't have access to your house. Btw, I have a friend that also got those same brand of glasses. They say it's reasonable and stylish for the price you pay. I end up getting such expensive frames that I haven't gotten new frames in 2-3 years.

Jimmianne, I never answered your question about my trip just cause I didn't want to on a public forum. It's this summer, so I'm really excited. I'm afraid I will go crazy at a Cartier store in France and thought I should get it now. But I just found out we will have some significant expenses by the end of the year, so the purchase may be put off another year. Sigh...

Marcy, I know what you mean about tires vs. jewelry. I was just talking to my DH and he knows I really want a Cartier bracelet. Then my computer goes "pop" and completely shuts down on me. It does this every few hours, and I know I should be getting a new computer. Instead I'm still dreaming in Cartier. And of course family expenses that I just found out about...

Kristie, I am the lamest seller. You know I posted my band, but I left out so much info, and never even had a ton of info. I wore it today by itself on my right hand, and noticed how sparkly and white it is. Maybe I'm not ready to let this go either. I have always loved this ring and maybe overtime I will buy enough little bands to make my own...
http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Ite...p+800+4&search=0&origin=browse&searchkeyword=

I feel badly for the people who have inquired. Do I know clarity? No. Color. No again. REceipt? Nope, tossed that too. OMG...

Junebug, just saying hi! :wavey:

Ovi, hope you're doing ok, and that the antibiotics are doing their job. :wavey:

Good morning NIRDIs!

I returned the earrings LOL. I loved the way they looked but it was a mind clean thing. I know I am crazy because they were just fun earrings but I couldn't do it.

LLJsmom, I prefer platinum for my rings but not for my earrings (I go with 14K or 18K white gold usually with earrings because I don't like dealing with the tarnishing of sterling silver) because of the weight and my ears are so sensitive to anything over 2.5 grams so I am limited as to what earrings I can tolerate. I am sorry you can only wear platinum in your ears but hopefully you can wear heavier earrings than me without a problem.

I am sorry unexpected expenses came up and most importantly I hope everyone is OK. I always remember the quote if money can fix a problem than it is not a real problem or something like that and I try internalizing that when unexpected or unpleasant expenses come up. And try not to think of the bling I could have bought with that money. Hope everything gets resolved painlessly for you and your family.

Have you decided on what bracelets to keep or have I missed that post completely and good luck with your ebay sale!

Marcy, I didn't realize you had 9 months of bad weather. I would be broke if I lived near you because it seems all I like to do is shop when I can't be outside enjoying cycling or another outdoor activity. Yesterday we did some damage shopping again as it was raining quite heavily much of the day and the wind chill was in the 40s can you believe that in June? The actual temp was in the 50s but with the wind it felt much colder and 50 is freezing anyway in June right? I mean if it was 50 in January we would all be saying we had a heat wave haha but in June it is unacceptable.

Today is also cold and windy but for the most part dry so we are attempting a bike ride. It really depends on how fierce those winds are and with the alternate route detour this should be an interesting ride. Still keeping my good humor though and now dreaming of larger diamond hoops that perhaps could be my next (very far off sadly) bling gift. :cheeky:

I am sorry some of your employees are being a problem and I hope that work becomes less stressful and that your employees start doing what they need to without complaining or otherwise causing any issues.

I am glad you are enjoying some much deserved lovely weather by you. 80 with little wind would be heaven for us here. Now I do wish we were in Wyoming haha. It sounds like you had a lovely evening too with BBQ, bling and golf club shopping. A perfect end to the day.
I am sorry to hear you are having tire trouble and I hope you don't need a new one. I vote bling over Michelin but of course safety is #1 always so if you need a new tire please don't hesitate. Hoping you don't though Ms Curby LOL. Be safe!

Peggy, I am so happy for you that it all worked out woohoo!!! Wishing you much happiness with your new car and happy and safe travels! :appl:

Any plans for the rest of the week? I bought some new tops and another new dress yesterday shopping again and then we had a delicious dinner with grilled corn, onions, peppers and salmon and watched 2 movies. 3 days of the Condor with Robert Redford (so handsome) and then The Verdict. I love Paul Newman and he is also easy on the eyes even when he was older as he was in The Verdict (which I had seen years ago but forgot everything about it so it was like watching it for the first time). The other night we watched Escape from Alcatraz with Clint Eastwood which we also enjoyed. Is it sad that we prefer watching older movies for the most part? I don't enjoy new ones as much usually. And really I find foreign movies superior to most of our American movies anyway.

Kristie, first of all of course we need you and wouldn't plan a cruise without you and second of all luxury all the way baby. No low brow cruising for the NIRDIs OK? The last cruise I went on was a long time ago in the nineties and it was our Alaskan cruise (on Holland America the MS Ryndam) which was a trip of a lifetime and I wouldn't hesitate to do a cruise with that kind of luxury and comfort. Anyway this is far far off and just thinking when we are all retired with lots of time we can cruise to Europe so no flying involved depending on where the cruise leaves from...a girl can dream can't she? :cheeky:

How is Finn feeling today? I was thinking about his discomfort and was wondering if you thought in addition to the Wobenzym if Glucosamine and/or Chondroitin would provide any benefit for him? Please give him a big hug from his Aunt Missy and sweet (most of the time) Maggie too.

How is the window covering project going now? What have you decided for the 2 windows in your living room? Cellular shades?

I might wait till after my birthday to do Cologuard and maybe that way we can do it around the same time...Colon buddies haha. Is that too gross a visual lol.

Junie, our talented jewelry box creator. Beautiful! Now you are going to have to purchase more bling so you can use each one of the boxes you make. Win win!
How is your week going? How is your mom feeling? Any updates re beach info?

Jimmianne, I am so excited with each passing day as that means you are another day closer to France! Very wise bringing an extra suitcase and I hope you fill er up with all goodies French. Sophisticated loveliness all the way. Not to mention those TDF French desserts and food. Leave those in France however (and enjoy them as much as you can while you are there) and fill the suitcase up with non perishables like clothes and bling. :naughty:

Ovi, hope your sore throat is all better and we are thinking of you. Hope you are well and check in when you have a moment OK? I am hoping you are out and about and enjoying good health and good times and that is why you haven't checked in with us to let us know how you are...thinking of you and sending more hugs.

Enjoy the day girls! :wavey:

Ah Missy, you are a purist after my own heart. Does this mean your Grace's are not available?!
I am smiling [grinning, actually] as I write this. Don't mean to hound, but I am sure that from time to time I will tease you about luring them away from you!

LLJs, I am so excited for you too. I can see now why you were trying to fill your Cartier basket NOW. I think my downfall may be finding estate jewelry at one of the flea markets. To each their own, huh. My friend who was just visiting - and is an art quilter- said she would fill a suitcase with French linens. Somehow being on vacation in a far away place is justification for spending.
I finally decided on clothes to wear...I bought a silk & linen white scarf and some dark color Patagonia travel skirts and a couple of cool-looking white shirts. One pair of black flats and walking sandals. Voila! We are staying in an Apartment on Rue du Cherche-Midi which is loaded with shops and not too far from the Luxembourg gardens. I will also try to go to an art museum, Orly or l'Orangerie. Then in 2 days taking the train to Montreuil-Bellay to stay at the vineyard, then back to Paris overnight before heading home. My dd and her friend plan to make daytrips to the coast, etc. I don't have a plan, but I am taking sketchbooks, and the very small town of M-B has an old castle to explore.
I would love to hear what you are planning while you are there [aside from Cartier! : ) ]

OV - how is our recuperating NIRDI this morning? Mwah! [blowing motherly kiss to you]

AZ-I agree with Missy...we aren't going anywhere without you and will only travel deluxe. No Walmart cruises for us!

Marcy, as usual I love hearing about your "domestic" life. Being single I miss those little things that mean so much and am loving hearing about your dinner and mall fun - bling and golf clubs - I guess golf clubs are some kind of *mysterious* bling for Marty and probably have some sort of HCA scores we don't understand!

Callie, I too am waiting to hear what happened. No matter what, everything will be OK, but these dilemmas are upsetting.

Junebug, you haven't posted very much about your adventures lately. What are you up to this week??

Jimmianne, what's mine is yours and you are more than welcome to borrow Grace's earrings. :appl:

In fact I have only worn them 2 or 3 times so far if you can believe it. I didn't bring them to the beach house as I like to travel light so only brought 2 pairs with me for our vacation. My diamond hoops and my Ruby Lane diamond heart earrings that I got around Valentine's Day this year that the NIRDIs helped me choose.

Has Puff been asking about his Aunt Missy lately? The kitties are missing him and have been asking about when he is visiting...perhaps when you borrow Grace's earrings hehe. :naughty: :cheeky:

Missy,
I'm sure your kitties would deliciously adore Puff!

You have such a lovely earring collection, it's good to see the Ruby Lane's in closeup... and the hoops I had NOT seen.

Which made me think of how many sets can be worn at one time ...

I have 3 piercings in my right ear, 2 are for tiny studs. Seems like I get a new piercing every 20 year or so lol.
I did the originals myself in 7th grade after watching "You Asked For It" where they visiting a piercing place. It was summer and I wore suspiciously warm headscarves to hide the fact from my mother : )

I noticed in the TIffany catalog[?] this month that a model had two small hoops on one ear and it looked good.

Who has more than lobe piercings on their ears?

PS. It's Rhino's birthday AND the celebration of 35 years of GOG. Thread at Rockytalk...

Wow Jimmianne, you did the originals yourself? LOL you were (are) a wild child! Braver than I will ever be.

I enjoy multiple piercings on others but for me it's one per ear. I wish I could have the piercings redone though as my mom took me to a jewelry store I think to have them pierced and they are crooked and one is too low on the lobe. I wish I could easily redo them but it is a pretty major deal and a long wait to be able to wear earrings again so that is not happening. However when you visit perhaps I will revisit this issue and you can be the one to do the honors seeing you have the experience already haha.

Thanks for the info re Rhino and his 35 year anniversary. Off to find the thread. Have a good day. Just saw a weather update and it isn't looking good for cycling the rest of the week. I am sad. :(sad

Hi Girls,

Missy, Thank you so much for yesterday for all your help and making me feel a little less of a crazy spoiled brat. I'm so sorry about your weather honey. I wish I could send our beautiful Chicago weather your way. It sounds like it has been crazy weather all over the country this spring. What does the dress you bought look like? Maybe another shopping day is in order today. You and Greg have a great time whatever you do together so I'm sure you will have a fun day.

Junebug, Thank you so much for your kind words yesterday. I bought the Infiniti. Missy and Kristie both talked me off the ledge and helped me make the wise choice. They were in complete agreement with my husband so as you can imagine my husband loves them both this morning! Do you have any plans for the week? Will you be moving to your beach house soon?

Kristie, Thank you so much for yesterday. I'm so glad you had a good day yesterday and found the perfect recliner. My niece wanted me to thank you for your comments about her daughter and the car. Can't wait to talk to you today.

JJLsmom, I literally was driving myself crazy over the whole car thing. I fell in love with the looks of the Audi and BMW but I am very used to Infiniti interiors. They are laid out perfectly in my mind and I love the luxury feeling of them. The safety features in the car we got are also incredible. We have had 4 of them over the years. I'm sure there will be days I wish I had gotten the Audi but I know I will love the car I ended up getting. And to be honest once the new car feeling is over I will be very happy about the money we saved. I felt like the worst spoiled brat yesterday too. I'm just glad the whole day is over. My husband joked that the price difference would buy that Cartier bracelet. My dad kept pointing out that I would not be driving the car sitting on the bumper and to get the one I was most comfortable driving. So what did you decide about your bracelet? You and I have both loved the Cartier Love for a long time. I have a hard time justifying the price of the darn thing. I do think it will look incredible with your leather bracelet and tennis braclet. I have to admit the look of those bracelets together is perfection! I also like the other one you are considering and just feel the love cuff is more classic and I doubt you would ever get tired of it.

Jimmianne, I can ship a couple suitcases to France for you. You will just have to fill them up and bring them home! Keep in mind they need to be filled to the brim!

Marcy, We are so alike when it comes to curbs. The car we purchased with brake on its own if something gets in it way. I asked if that included wrecking the wheels with curbs. Mine were ao scuffed up on my previous car. Unfortunately the car doesn't help in that situation. My husband told the sales guy to call him when the invent the car that helps with curbs because I'm terrible with curbs. I didn't get the Audi. At the end of the day I know I will be taking my nieces daughter out with me a lot in the next couple years. It would have been impossible getting her in and out of the coupe. I love Marty's comment to tell the over achiever. I remember hearing one of my bosses tell an employee that if they had enough time to notice everything another employee was doing that they also didn't have enough work. I actually like Marty's comment more. Hey as long as they are being compensated accordingly, all should be good. The money is their reward. It isn't like this employee is making the lesser amount. I feel for you Marcy. It feels like you are babysitting much of the time. I had to manage two employees for a couple years and hated it. I gladly would have accepted less money to not have that responsibility.

Welcome Sky!!! I'm glad you decided to join us.

Callie, I am so glad to hear that you are more settled with your car. What made me totally love mine after some initial second thoughts were the great comfort and safety features. It's such a pleasure to drive a car that lets you feel safe. It becomes your ally on the road. So, yay!

ps. yes - suitcases filled to the brim! and then there is always mailing boxes home too :naughty:
I've been finding antique jewelry dealers in the area I'm staying and seeing Things I Want. I will have to remember that just because I am there does not mean "to go for broke" as though it's a one-time opportunity. I can imagine wanting something *antiquey-bling* just to have it from that city. The mind does play tricks - especially when it comes to our most beloved hobby.
So...how many suitcases are you sending me to take? LOL

Jimmianne, Missy and Kristie said they exact same thing yesterday as they were talkig me off the ledge. Kristie also said if I ever were in a bad accident and the baby was with me, it would be so much easier for emergency people to get her out of the car. Nothing is more important than her safety so their safety comments really was my tipping point. In all honesty the other vehicles didn't even come close in the safety feature department. I just need to get over my love of coupes. My husband hates them.

Wow - you have excellent advisors!

Ugh missy, sorry about the stinky weather - I'm hoping it stays dry and not too windy so you can at least go cycling for a while.

Mom is doing ok, she feels fine and seems content for the most part to just sit and doze all day…which sometimes is a bit hard on her caretakers, hard to shake that feeling that she should be doing *something* but she just doesn't have any interest or desire. She says she's very happy just sitting. Sigh. Not always an easy situation but my brother and I are doing what we can. If I'm being honest, I've been feeling a little burned out lately but I'm just hanging in there.

The house buying process is moving along! We close in mid-July so that's something to look forward to. We will put our house on the market in the next couple of weeks. One headache has been that the now divorced couple has rented out the house for a few weeks in July and August so we have to honor those rentals unfortunately. It stinks to be buying a new house that is being used before we purchase it, and even after, but at least we get the rental income. The wife, in an effort to spite her ex, took the dining room set out early so now we have to come up with a replacement. What a pain.

The earrings looked great on you, but I understand where you're coming from, and there's no sense in hanging on to them if you're not going to wear and enjoy them. And now you have extra money to buy other stuff! teehee

Calliecake, I'm so glad you're feeling better about your new car, and that kristie and missy were able to help you figure it out. It's a big purchase and those are often stressful. The new car sounds beautiful and it must drive like a dream! I know you'll enjoy it.

Jimmianne, I just read that you have a Cayenne - love that car!

Marcy, so glad you're enjoying good weather! Isn't it ironic that it's lousy here on the East Coast lol?

I know exactly what you mean about getting different sized bands - I think it's because it's a fairly inexpensive way to change up the look of a wedding set - I love searching for bands, I ordered a plain gold one for my yg ring but I'm also on the hunt for more haha.

Ok, should probably get something accomplished today, so I'll sign off for now - see you all later!

My mailbox was a happy place this afternoon. A case of dark chocolate and my cigar band from Etsy!il_570xn_139.jpgp1140788.jpg

Hi girls! We just got back from a good long ride so woohoo! The weather started out cold and windy but the wind died down and the sun came out and we ended up having a nice ride. I am exhausted. Those hills are quite challenging and man I am tired but had to check in with the NIRDIs and I am glad I did because OMG great news from everyone!!!

Junie, I am so over the top happy for you!!! Wow that is fast and congratulations and good luck! Such great news and WOOHOO!!! New beach house for our sweet Junie! :appl: And don't worry about the dining room table because now you can purchase the perfect table for you. And as for the renters that's OK a little extra income might be good for some celebratory bling! Sending you lots of good luck dust for a fast sale of your house. :appl:

I am glad your mom is well but I am sorry that she lacks interest in doing things and I can see why that would be hard on you guys. Hugs all around. Getting older is challenging and dealing with an aging parent can be heartbreaking at times. Just keep telling yourself you are doing all you can and giving her the best possible care and support and love by being there for her through all of this. (((Hugs))).

ooh Jimmianne, I LOVE your new band. GORGEOUS.

DO you love it? It looks great on your hand! What a lovely pick me up. :appl:

Callie, I am so glad you are feeling good about the car purchase. I didn't do anything but you are so welcome and I am always here for you and the other girls. You girls mean so much to me.

You made the best decision. Safety is the most important feature with or without transporting kids because remember you and Jeff are precious cargo too my dear! But yes now your nieces and grandnieces are as safe as can be riding in your new car. How much are you loving the pretty color too? And the lush interior? It has been so long since we bought a car that I am living vicariously through you. YAY for new purchases shiny and big or shiny and small :appl:

Which brings me back to Jimmianne's new purchase. More pics Jimmianne? Pretty please? Not sure if you are OK with posting a pic of your new beautiful car Callie but if you are you know we NIRDIs would love to see it. But only if you are 100% OK with it. :halo: Have you named her/him yet?

Hope the rest of the NIRDIs are enjoying their Wednesday! :wavey:

Missy, I can't believe you decided to go riding. The weather sounded awful. I'm glad you had a good time in spite of the weather.

Jimmianne, I love your cigar band. I have a thick antique gold band that I bought years ago and still really like. The width of the ring is wide but the band itself is very thing. It has a pretty design as well. So how many suitcases do you need me to send. I have a few sitting in the basement. I love the idea of buying a piece of jewelry while you are in France. What a wonderful remembrance of your trip. I envy you going to the antique jewelry stores. I'm hoping you love them so much you will want to go to the Miami Antique Jewelry Show next year.

Junebug, How exciting you will be closing so soon. You must be getting so excited to be in the new place. I'm sorry about your mom. I know this has to be hard on you. Breaks are so important. It's so easy to get burned out when you are the caregiver. Have you talked to your brother about hiring someone to help care for her occasionally? I know that wasn't a conversation you were looking forward to having.

Callie, your ring sounds like mine - wide but very thin, almost can't feel it. My Mom wore hers until it got so thin in one place it broke : )
I would love to see a photo of yours sometime. Each of them is so unique, it seems like a good type of ring to collect.
Mine was made by JRWoods, which became Art Carved, and is supposedly Victorian [after 1850]. The mark inside is XXX with a sideways W.

I just finished watching a really good movie, "Hector and the Search for Happiness". Wonderful!

Good night to anyone who is still up - I guess 9pm isn't that late lol

Jimmianne, fantastic band!

I'm a complete band ho, I love them as you all know from my buys for 2015.

Every night I'm trolling for bands on-line. Junie, I bet we are crossing on-line paths, haha.

Someone please don't let me buy the FCD bands at Leibish, I loved Catmom's so much I got on Leibish's website and fell in love with the multicolored bands. Several on sale 10% off PLUS the guy that owns the place looks like Santa Claus so I love him already :appl:

I've got several spotted at Levy's (impossible to shop their website, it sucks, might have to visit Birmingham when their humidity is low) and also at Eragem (I love Seattle, how bout an Eragem NIRDI GTG in The Emerald City?

That would have to be after Miami Antique Jewelry Show in January. Come on, y'all come! January, tradewinds, beach/dip toes, show from 12-8 pm, daily brunch with Mimosas!!! (maaaarcy!).

I'm looking at hotels peeps. Booking early gets good rooms; you can always cancel when you pick that option when reserving.

I'm going to keep selling y'all on Miami until I get on the damn plane; bless our hearts!!! 8-)

Jimmianne, love the new bling. Always cheers one up doesn't it? It's beautiful. I love substantial gold rings. So funny that you were thinking about what to wear cause I was too. I got these new prada sandals that j meant to bring but worried that it may not be comfy if in my feet for many hours. But I don't want to look like a you so American tourist in sneakers. What kind of weather are u planning on?

Missy, I love three days of the condor. Can't believe some brought that movie up. My parents got me into it. I got my kids into old musicals, singin in the rain, Gigi, and seven brides for seven brothers. My three all time favorites. Have you ever seen Philadelphia Story with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant? LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!! I can go on and on. The original Sabrina? Breakfast at Tiffanys, omg. Roman holiday...

Callie, all I saw was that car helped you save some funds for a bracelet? I'm in!!! ;). Glad you feel like you can reconcile yourself to it. We will have to form our own Cartier support group. I love everything there... I'm much more a modern jewelry girl rather than VCA which is too feminine for me.

Marcy, I can't dial back to see you last post. Gonna check when I get home. :wavey: But I did keep your advice in mind. Get what you love. I have an updat on that.

Junebug, good for you for persevering. My grandma was like that. Just was happy to sit and be. It's hard to make them want it more than they do... Please make sure you are taking care of yourself emotionally and physically. Caring for a elderly parent can be tough.

So I stopped by the store again today. Five blocks from my office. I tried on all three love cuffs and know why I could never commit. They just don't fit right in my bony wrists. When I twist my arm, the arm twists but the cuff does not. My wrist is also very flat if you j is what I mean. So it's like he edge of the wrist is coming out of the cuff. When I look at it I don't think I LOVE IT!!! like I should when spending $5k. Instead I'm thinking.... It's ok. The Bracelet is beautiful...

And then I went back to the JUC. I MUST ADMIT THAT IS WHERE MY HEART IS. I love it, and it is so ME. I am so glad I did not spend my limited funds on just OK, feeling like I SHOULD like it more but disturbed that I don't. I spent time learning to put it in and take it off by myself. It's not that hard. THe SA was super nice and let me spend time figuring it out. So this will be my next purchase, and it will have to be from the store cause I won't find a preloved 15.

I love it in gold. It's way more than I can afford now but j want to save up enough before the next price increase on April. It's $6800. Yeah, I almost got suckered in by the "good deal". The cuff at $3300. But it would not be a good deal if I didn't love it. I took all your advice. Get what you love. I feel so much better now that I know. Now I just hope I don't change my mind!

Kristie, thanks for the wise advice. I don't think I am ready to let go of the band yet. It is super white and sparkly by itself. Everyone is asking specifics and I don't know. For a couple hundred bucks is it even worth taking to a jeweler for an appraisal? I'm so lazy. I'm the worst seller. Ok, I won't rush to sell it. I've had a lot of emails but my lack of papers and info turns a lot of people off. It may be better this way.... Miami sounds great. I have always wanted to go. And with a jewelry show? I so wish!!!!!!!!!!
