Now I really did it :((

Glad you had a good French lesson Jimmianne. Learning a new language is challenging especially at our age so don't be too hard on yourself. In time you will be speaking and reading and writing fluent French! Thank you for sharing that endoscopy story after I had mine LOL. This is actually my 3rd endoscopy as I had 2 in 2014 4 weeks apart at the height of my awful symptoms when they couldn't figure it out. It really is not a bad procedure but it is nerve wracking while you are waiting to have it done. Sure things can go wrong but it is not common for that to happen. I am happy that part is over but still a bit nervous about what is going on with my body so it is the unknown that scares and worries me. However we will see Friday what the biopsy results show.

As for nurse Tommy he is in the union I think and they have a 20 hour basking in the sunlight (when it is out) minimum guaranteed in their contract. And they are all presently sleeping the day happily away.

Forgot to share an Easter pic and a dog pic from yesterday and just got a few security camera photos of Sammy running across our front yard at the shore so will share that too. The dog is the local deli's dog and he loves laying out in the sun. He is an old man and just adorable.

Hi NIRDIs!

Missy, I hope you are feeling okay tonight. I am sorry you had such a rough day and shed some tears but that is totally to be expected. I am glad you have the test over and we are here with you while you wait for the biopsy results. Hugs to you dear Missy. I love your pictures especially the dog dozing in the Sun. Tell Greg that cheesecake tastes as good as the Cheesecake Factory. I swear.

Scandinavian, I bet you are sad to be packing up and going home but you had a wonderful vacation.

Jimmianne, I love your boots. I am sorry you husband isn’t here to try my peeps soup either. Hugs to you my friend. I couldn’t believe how just pouring water on the peeps made it look like broth. Marty was traveling so I posted the series of photos on Facebook. The first one was the bear was cutting up the rabbits for the stew - that took quite a few tries propping the knife and fork up with the bears arms. The caption was “Cutting up stew meat because Marcy isn’t allowed to play with knives”. Then the other picture was the soup picture. I am sure the cheesecakes will be safe in the freezer in the mancave since Marty is being really good on his diet. I am with you I’d rather have a boring holiday than dealing the some stressful get together. Both have ups and downs right? I remember a big old notebook I had for French. I really enjoyed taking it but I would have problems coming up with a sentence right now.

It was moving day at work. I am moving back to my old cube but they are making it a double wide. I packed up most of my things today and they are moving the cube tomorrow. I put my teddy bears in a friend’s office and brought my iPad mini home. The rest of the things I left there are company property so tomorrow I’ll clean everything and settle in to my new cube. The cube is closer to my team and the little PS room.

Marty had salmon and I had filet for supper and he microwaves little potatoes and veggies for us. We had another mini cheesecake.

That nasty 4 letter word SNOW is coming back again with a vengeance tomorrow. It’s almost the same forecast as last Wednesday so hopefully it won’t be another blizzard. I do have Uber Marty though if the roads are too bad.

Have a great evening.
Curby

I thought this was pretty funny since we've got another storm coming.

imageuploadedbytapatalkhd1459223381.jpg

Good morning girls!

Hahaha Curby, love that last picture. So true.
Oh no more snow! Well remember we have a nice warm house waiting for you and Marty and the killer bunnies and teddy bears. No more snow here (hopefully!). Glad your move at work is going smoothly. Your dinner last night (especially the salmon) sounds quite delicious. I bet your mini cheesecake tastes way better than any restaurant cheesecake. I can tell you from personal experience Greg's cheesecake is more delicious than Junior's Cheesecake (famous NYC restaurant known for their cheesecake).

Welcome home Scandinavian.

Callie, hope yesterday's meeting went well.

Kristie, let me know how the new food choices work out. Hoping you love them.

Junie, welcome home. I hope everything is calm back at home and that your mom is doing well.

LLJsmom, hey there. Only a few weeks left of your busy season. When is your next marathon?

Jimmianne, how exciting you are resetting. Cannot wait to hear more about it. How is your DD doing?

I hope everyone has a good day today. :wavey:

Missy, I love seeing the stealthy Sammy out in his jungle.
How are you feeling today? Are you going to work?

Marcy, you must be sick of snow by now.
Hey! stop making fun of the South haha
Actually it's so true. I'm from NY and will not go out on the roads here - people don't know how to navigate at all.
How much snow is predicted? Darn I should have come over before the weather got worse. Ah well, please eat a cheesecake for me, OK?

I am nervous about resetting, but keep telling myself I can always reset again! I even think about resetting Joy sometimes and, Missy, I remember you went through the itch with Bea a while back. Wanting change is a perk of PS!

more later
hugs,
Candy lol

edit: I hardly hear from DD at all, just a word or two every few days... excellent!

Haha Candy! Curby! If you ladies don't mind while I adore the nicknames I will use them judiciously because I still think of you as Jimmianne and Kristie and Callie and LLJsmom and Junie (which is my nickname for Junebug and approved by Junie herself) etc.

With the nickname Candy I picture a 19 yo blonde girl who loves high heels and makeup who enjoys pole dancing (which I understand is a great exercise btw). And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. :cheeky:

Not hearing from your DD often is a good sign actually!
Yes the PS bug infects us all from time to time. :halo:

:wavey:

Hi girls!

Missy, I hope you're feeling a little better after your stressful day yesterday. I think it's perfectly understandable that you shed a few tears, it was a tough day and you are experiencing a lot of emotions right now and it's natural for those feelings to rise to the surface occasionally. I don't like hearing you were so upset though, big hugs to you and you know I'm thinking of you!

Love your new earrings and purse! Dh and I were at Costco over the weekend and I saw the display and the bags are beautiful. I love Costco, I can always find something to buy there! We bought a tv for the house and dh was in his glory - he loves tvs, especially big ones - kind of like me with diamonds haha! Great pic of Greg, he looks good! And what an adorable pup. Love the pic of Sammy too, so glad that he seems to be doing ok. Too funny about the nicknames! Junior, lol!

Scandinavian, I hope you had a wonderful vacation! Your mountain getaways seem like such an adventure and I'm sure it's so much fun for your kids! My kids would have loved it - actually, they still would! Love the pic of the Viesel, I've never seen a vehicle like that and it looks like it would be fun to ride in. The mountains and scenery are so peaceful and beautiful. The story of you meeting your dh and how he proposed is so sweet and romantic! Definitely love at first sight and you were meant for each other, love it.

Jimmianne, I'm very excited about your reset and can't wait to see what Tony comes up with. You are in good hands with him, he is so talented and does such beautiful work. I sympathize with the indecision, there are so many options and styles that it's hard to narrow it down to one. Glad you had a nice time on your date, the town you visited sounds really quaint. Made me laugh to read your French teacher recommended a french BF and then offered to help you on the farm lol. Your rain boots are really cute! Glad to hear your french lessons are going well. A good friend of mine is fluent in French, she lived in France from age 8 to 15. Such a beautiful language. IMO with regard to daughters, no news is good news lol. I'm sure your dd is having a great time.

Marcy, I'm glad your work emergency turned out to be nothing, whew! Your mini cheesecakes look SO good, yum. Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to try it. I really like the idea of using the muffin tins. Lol to Teddy eating peep stew, made me smile :)) Hope your move went smoothly and you're all settled in. Really sorry about the expected snow :(sad I really hope you don't get too much. Love the pic you posted! funny but oh so true :D

LLJsmom, Callie, kristie, and Sharon, hello to you all and hope you are doing well!

Had a nice time at the beach, although it rained 2 of the days we were there - so dh and I just went shopping and out to eat! It was just nice to get away. Friday was fairly nice and we had a chance to sit on the beach for a while and take a dip in the pool. I should have taken pics on Friday because the other days were just not good picture-taking days. Here are a few I snapped, one of them is the view for the Ocean Course clubhouse where we ate one night and unfortunately the weather was just too lousy but you get the idea, it's such a lovely view. I also included a few pics of the house, I realize I never posted any -

hmm, am having trouble uploading the pics, PS seems a little glitchy right now so I'll try again later!

Hi Junie! I am so glad you and your dh enjoyed a marvelous beach house mini vacation despite the weather not cooperating the full time. I cannot wait to see your pics. Darn PS behave please so we can enjoy Junie's photos here. :appl:
And thank you for more (((hugs))). Right back at ya.

Greg just sent me photos of the daffodils at the beach house. Yay for spring. Things are just starting to bloom. :appl:

daffodils2016.jpg

Hi NIRDIs!

Missy, no more snow? Please tell Mother Nature. It’s snowing right now. I am sure Greg’s cheesecake is delicious. How are you feeling today? The daffodils at the beach house look beautiful! We had some tulips at our old house but never dug up the bulbs so each year we got fewer and fewer to come up. They are so pretty and mean spring is here - or at least there anyway.

Jimminanne, yes I am sick of snow and I wasn’t really making fun of the south but the part about Wyoming was spot on. My sister and BIL lived in Fort Worth for a while and they had a 1/2 inch of snow and my BIL was the only one who showed up at work and he said all the drivers on the road were having an awful time on the road. The snow predictions are 8 - 12 inches with gusts up to 50 mph. Last week’s storm was predicting 5-8 inches and we ended up with 14.1 inches. Yes you should get here before the storms really moves in. I am sure you are anxious for your asscher reset but I think it’s in good hands. I am glad to hear your DD is enjoying her trip.

Junebug, Marty gravitates to the TV’s every time we go in to Sams Club. He ended up with a 5” larger TV in the mancave. I told him I draw the line at surround sound - the best system stays upstairs. I hope you try the cheesecake; the muffin size works great. I froze most of them when I made them at Thanksgiving and they stayed fresh in the freezer. We ended up eating them all because we stayed home on Thanksgiving because of a snow storm. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your time at the beach. I hope you can get the pictures to post.

Yes I can see the snow coming down horizontal through the windows. So it begins.

I had 2 reports this morning that again made it look like we had a bunch of mistakes - I got to work about 7:20 and found out everything was okay. Grr. As the day went on I found out corporate changed a query that altered out data but didn’t bother to tell me. I wanted to utter some very unkind and not very polite words.

Since I got there early the guy moving all the cubes around asked me if I was ready to move and I said “sure” so he got me moved and helped move some things down to the new cube. I got the telephony guy to move my phone, the IT guy to move my PC, one of my employees to move my TV and receiver and I was moved. I washed down everything and dusted everything. I threw out some stuff and had most everything sent by the time I went to lunch. Later this afternoon I hung up my pictures. I told Marty I think the guy finished my cube first because the other guy who has a double cube was being kind of a jerk to him about moving his stuff and I want this now, etc. I was kind of whenever works for you I’m good.

I met a friend for lunch. It was her birthday so they gave us $2 strawberry margaritas and free sopapillas for her birthday. We both had tacos for our meal - I got out of their for $10.06 for both of us plus tip. Cheap birthday lunch.

Have a great evening.
Curby

Good morning girls!

Curby, Wow, that is a great price for any lunch for two let alone a birthday lunch! Yay for free margaritas and happy birthday to your friend. :appl:

Sorry work is sort of a mess and I hope corporate fixes the issue so you don't keep getting false alarms. I am glad you got moved to your double cube space efficiently and were taken care of first. Sounds like you finished your spring cleaning at work so yay for that.

Hopefully we are done with snow. Sorry you are still dealing with snow and I hope you won't be dealing with it through June like in past years. I want Spring to come to all the NIRDIs now. :appl:

Scandinavian, thank you honey for all your support. I appreciate it so much. (((Hugs))).

Junie, hi there! Hope your week is going well. How is your mom doing? How was she while you were away at the beach house?
You are probably visiting her now. Yes isn't it the truth. We can always find lots of good things to buy at Costco. As my BIL loves to say...my family is going broke saving money at Costco.

I was so glad that thread was eliminated overnight so our sweet A didn't see it. I sure hope she didn't see it. And I also hope it was not intentional on HJ's part and that he just wasn't aware of what A is going through.

Have a good day girls! :wavey:

This is ridiculous. Have been trying to post a reply all day, but keep getting interrupted by work :wall: :wall: :wall: . Going to give up now, lol, as it is seriously time to get home and log on the home office before our babysitter goes on strike, lol. WILL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW  :-)

HI:

I must be feverish, since I didn't see the NIRDI thread on the front hangout page....I am delirious! No honestly, I don't feel well. Left work early and my face is hot! Not a good look for an old lady :D But glad I found this thread. :wavey:

Missy I hope you are on your road to recovery--and those flowers at your beach house, bloomed just for you. :))

Marcy--please come over to my house. You really don't need any more snow! :sun:

JuneB--sorry for your rainy days, I hope your DH;s company, shopping and good food made up for it! Hope your Mum is well.

JA--you have the most interesting projects and life! I am glad to come here to read!

Hello to the rest of you good ladies and PS followers! :wavey:

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDIs!

Missy, I thought it was a great deal for our lunch. We meet there every week so I guess we are kind of regulars so they are nice to us. I am glad you put in an order for spring to arrive for all NIRDIs now. Hopefully Mother Nature pays attention to you. That is very funny what your BIL says about Costco. Huh to your A and HJ thread sentence? I am lost there.

Scandinavian, you obviously had a busy day at work. I hope you enjoyed your evening.

Sharon, I hope you are feeling better now. Thank you for offering to have me come over to get away from this snow. On the local news tonight they said we are above average this year and I said “thank you Captain Obvious.”

We’ve probably had 6” of snow so far but so much of it melted it’s hard to tell. The main roads are really wet and slushy. East - west roads are snow packed and drifted. Naturally our driveway is drifted over. Uber Marty got me to work and picked me up. He said I shouldn’t call him that since I don’t pay him for taking me to work. The pleasure of my company should be enough, right?

Work was crazy busy today. I completely forgot my cube walls share walls with the cubes by mine. They worked on both sides today so I got more dust everywhere but it was easy to clean up.

Hello from Scandinavia :wavey:
Really buzzy day at work yesterday, had a delivery for a client with a "has to be sent by close of business" due date if you know what I mean. Close of business is as all nice girls know before 0800 the next day, LOL. But got it in around 23.00 so even on the correct date, lol. Not always that happens.
Yesterday was horrible, rain and fog. Now, the sun is out :-) Still cold with frozen grass but at least most of the snow has melted whilst we were away. I have read all your posts, but I think I have missed out on commenting on a lot - sorry. I started reading everything over again, but that was a bit much, lol, so I think I will just jump back in here and move forward :-)
I have gained so much weight (3kg - how is that possible??? I've been cross country skiing every day!!) during Easter. So now I remember that I think you commented on something similar Missy - if you have gained weight, it sure does not show in any unflattering way! You look slim and gorgeous! But I do know what you mean - I always feel so heavy/lazy/like I'm carrying a heavy backpack if I gain a little and then try to exercise! Lessen to self: if you gain weight, do not exercise!! Safe today though, working from home (no baby sitter today so have to pick up my on children all by my self and make them dinner and everything. What is the world coming to??? LOL LOL But that implies working from home. About 1 hour drive to work so that will not do.. now you know why we depend on my mother to pick up the children every day.. With a bit of traffic when you least need it, you can be sure that I'm always late for the kindergarten.. so I have just resolved to work from home (if possible) on the days when my mother is not able to help out :-)) Missy, I'm not sure I read the deleted post you referred to, but in general I think people should just keep quiet if they don't have anything nice to say.. At least to strangers on the internet - its not like it is your close family and that you are obliged to tell them everything you think...!

Marcy, again thank you so much for the recipe for the cheese cake! I'm going to try it out really soon - this weekend probably  Its a bit different from the ones we normally make here, so it is stuck on my mind and presents itself very vividly every time I get hungry, lol. It looks soooooo good :-) Hope you are having a good week at work, even with the whole moving thing. I had a cube for a while some years ago, and I thought it was a bit difficult to concentrate with people so close by. But then again that's me... I resolved to throwing little paper balls (made from post-it notes because I was boooooooored..) at the people who spoke too low or too loudly.. lol. Surprisingly enough, I lost the cube for an office instead of loosing my job, lol. Only in Scandinavia. The point to this ramble was to tell you that I think you are doing a really good job and should be really proud of yourself! And I understand totally why the moving people helped you first! Hope the dust is not too horrible and that you get set comfortably by the end of the week. Sounds really good that you have a double cube and that you are closer to your team!! And hope that the stupid reports with non-existing errors stop.

Btw: just remembered that I bought a new baby yesterday! Now, not a dog. Would not have forgotten that! Left the office for 10 min to buy a new wallet - the old one kept opening on its own in my bad, and that is really not very practical! So... the store with the wallet has really nice bags... uuuups. But I do like the colour :-) Will be nice for spring I think. I try to buy a little more colours for spring and summer. Most of my clothes - especially for work - is black/beige/white.

I can return in on Monday if I like, so I would like to know what you think about it? Is the colour fun or do you hate it?

Jimmianne, I'm really exited about your reset. I can't wait to see some pictures when you get a better idea of what you might like :-) I'm very visual - despite my education and work, lol - so I always try to close my eyes and "see" what something will look like. Trying to do the same for the colours and interior of your "new" house, will be exiting to see if I succeed and get it right - or right enough to like it... :-) Btw girls, thank you to all of you for getting me to rethink the sinks for the bathroom. My first idea might be a little impracticle with the bowl sinks. So now I have requested that the marble producer give us an offer for a marble top - in the same arctic green colour that we are using for the showers - with inlaid sinks. Hope the price will be ok... or at least acceptable. Will show you a picture if we get one.

Sharon :wavey: Hope you are feeling better today! Being sick is no fun at all! Only plus is that you can curl up on the sofa with hot cocoa or something like that. Maybe cinnamon buns.. I can't eat anything with gluten (since 2 years ago), so I always dream of propper cinnamon buns, lol. Especially now because my whole family has been eating them during Easter (2 children 4years and 8 years, nice with a "goal" when we go cross country skiing with them so we often aim for a skiing lodge for some waffles of cinnamon buns, lol).

Missy, the flowers are sooo pretty. I love it when the flowers starts to emerge in spring :-) Probably will not show up here until May, but I cross my fingers. Spring time is very pretty and lovely here. (Fall not so much - to much rain). Fingers crossed for good and helpful news tomorrow.

The birthday lunch sounds really nice Marcy :-) Here, those prices are pure fiction. No cocktail of any kind cheaper than approximately 15 USD.

Junebug, sounds like a very nice mini holiday :-) Shopping is always a good thing  And a beach and a pool sounds just like a dream :-) Hope everything is going according to plan re your mother! And I hope you will be able to upload some pictures soon - would love to see them :-)

Good morning girls!

Sharon, how are you feeling today? I am sorry you are not well and I hope today you wake up feeling much much better!
Sending lots and lots of healing vibes and big hugs your way. (((Hugs))).

Marcy, yes that is a deal no matter how you look at it. Even for a child's meal here at a restaurant that would be a sweet deal. I am glad you enjoyed the birthday lunch with your friend. That was sweet of you to take her out and it is even better you get to meet every week for lunch. Glad the new snow you got sort of all melted and yes the orders for your spring weather are on their way right now to mother nature. Sorry for the dust and hope the workmen are all done today. Ha love the photo of the plow and caption.

Scandinavian, I LOVE that purse. The color is gorgeous and I love the style too. My vote is to keep it. That color goes great with black and white and beige. It is IMO a bright neutral and you cannot go wrong with it. It is very sophisticated looking.

Glad you finished the work project by the end of the work day and did not have to work overnight. I dislike deadlines very much probably left over from my school days when I procrastinated till last minute LOL. The mad dash to finish was never pleasant.

I am glad the sun is out now for you. I don't mind rain for a day or two but when it drags on for days and we don't see the sun it makes me feel down. I think I would love living someplace where it was sunny all the time but Greg says he would miss the rainy cloudy days and he likes the change in weather. I used to but now I think I would be good with sun all the time or most of the time. In NYC it is rainy and cloudy at least 30% or more of the time and I feel in recent years it has been closer to 50% of the time. It makes it difficult to do stuff outdoors when the weather is not good. At least you love skiing and you get lots of snow so it fits your lifestyle. That is a definite plus.

Yes I gained lots of weight too. We don't have a scale but I got on the scale at work last week anticipating they were going to weigh me before the endoscopy Monday (which they did not do LOL) and it was quite the shock. They are probably going to weigh me this Friday when I see the gastroenterologist for my results because I have not been to his office for 2 years. Not looking forward to it because I have not changed my eating too much since I weighed myself last week. Oh well. LOL. Thank you for the compliment about my weight. As I age I don't want my face to get that sunk in look so there is a plus side to some extra weight! Plus it is better for your bones than being underweight. That's the truth. And I keep telling myself that if I start feeling bad about the weight I gained. Some extra lbs are good for our bones and face. :!:

Wow you have a long drive to work and I am glad your mother helps out and I also am glad you can work from home when she cannot help you with the children. I hope work is good today and less crazy for you with no deadlines you have to meet by the end of the workday.

Kristie, thank you for all your good advice and moral support yesterday. You are a lifesaver NIRDI sister. Love you and all the NIRDI girls.
(((HUGS))).

Have a great day today girls and hope the sun is out for all of you if not literally at least figuratively. (((Hugs))).

Sharon, how are you feeling this morning?
Sending good/non sniffly thoughts your way.

Ms. Curby, Love the poem about Spring flowers tweaked to work for Wyoming. Very catchy even if the sentiment is unfortunate : )
Don't forget you live in the most wonderful part of the US. NC always seems a little dull after living in CO.

Scandi, yes. I see like you. Close eyes, build image.
I love a high color/flashy bag . My vote is yes, enjoy!

Missy! how did you get that post in while I was writing mine. good morning!

Lol Jimmianne! Good morning. :wavey:
And also a big thank you to you too for yesterday's supportive words. (((Hugs))).

LOLOL That is the best picture, evah! Thanks for the uplifting kitty pic, I needed it.

I feel better today--not red hot thank goodness! I appreciate Tylenol and the fact I am not worse but most of all, I appreciate all your good wishes ladies, they did help!

Scandi-- :wavey: I vote to keep that luscious bag. Super cute! :wavey: But if you tire of it quickly, you can send it to me (and put your new ring in it) and I promise to cherish it!! :halo:  As an aside, my DH accepted a job at Maersk Oil in Copenhagen 22 years ago, we sold our house here and planned to move--had a gorgeous house picked out, etc,...then he changed is mind in the final hour! I adored Denmark and could have lived there. I'll never forget our FUN time scouting out homes and the landscape, and seeing all the business folks drinking large beers and aquavit at lunch, then going back to work! My kind of town.... :saint:

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDIs!

Scandinavian, don’t you love those “have to have it now” people. That’s the story of my life too. My commute is 15-20 minutes depending on weather or people insist on going the speed limit or lower. Look out curbs though! I like the idea of throwing little wads of paper at people in the cube farm. I get very annoyed at gum popping and the guy right over the cube wall from me pops gum all the time. I want to go smack him. I told Marty to find me some noise cancelling headphones like yesterday! I wish I could get an office but sadly they are out of those on our floor but I get a double cube and my own TV. Ooh, I’m special. Ha Ha. I like your new bag and wallet. Great color. I was just looking on Amazon at Snoopy Coach bags.

Missy, I am with you in spirit tomorrow. Hugs to you lady! Most of the snow melted here today except right in front of our house. It figures. Sorry to hear it’s cloudy there so much. For the crappy weather we have here we seem to have a lot of sunshine. Of course we can go through 4 seasons in one day. I love the cat picture. That is priceless!

Jimmianne, Colorado is definitely busier than Wyoming but we are close and I like it here. I am sure you can identify with the snow plowers photo.

Sharon, I am glad you are feeling better today. I hope you are doing even better tomorrow. Sending PS dust your way.

I drove myself to work today. It was pretty icy in the neighborhood and naturally there is a drift at the end of our driveway. I backed out of the garage and turned around in the driveway so I could just drive straight in to the street - that way I can pick the lowest spot in the snow drifts.

I had another really busy at work and I am glad we’ve only got one more day.

Have a great evening and wonderful Friday.

Curby

Good middle of the day from Scandinavia!
Sun here today!! Yippi!! Still a bit cold (about -2C) so the grass is still frozen, but hey! at least the snow seams to be going away :-) So what to do? We are driving up in the mountains tonight to spend the weekend there in the snow off course, LOL. Want to go skiing before it is too late :-) The children are sick of driving so much, so they are choosing to stay with their grandmother (and great grandmother) who is going to our summer house this weekend - go figure! Children! LOL. I'm happy that they have so many grown-ups to choose from :-)

Thank you so much (!) to all of you for your comments re my new very pink purchase! Makes me much more confident about keeping it :-) I do love it you see, just not a very typical purchase for me :-) But hey - maybe that is why it is perfect :-)

My brunch - fried brokkoli with no oil, no salt and two eggs. Talk about last min efforts, lol. We are going on a mini holiday first weekend in May, and as there is a beach there I anticipate swimming and bikini opportunities - or threats, lol, depending on how you look at it. When I was younger, I could really get any kind of results in just 1 week. Including loosing 10 pounds and build 4 pounds of muscles. But now - not so much so. So we'll see. I have to admit that having two children changes the body somewhat. Hence the brokkoli. I plan on being super healthy and working out a lot over the next four weeks. My spring cleaning. Think I will skip the house wash to compensate. LOL.

Missy, I understand your DH and not wanting to live in a place that is always sunny. I would miss the hot cocoa in front of a fire place - which I only enjoy when it is cold outside. No new deadlines till Monday - or Tuesday, think I might push that one a bit :-) That poor cat, lol, really good picture :-)

Sharon, hope you are feeling better? No good being sick during weekends... Yes, Denmark is a bit more relaxed about drinking than most places, lol. Off course I'll send you the bag! Mmmmmm.... or maybe not... LOL. :halo:  It is so boring that nice stuff normally cost nice money...

Jimmianne, any word from your DD? I have to admit I'm curious as to whether she is having a good time in France. Probably because I would like to go there on holiday myself right now :-) I probably don't "see" things as well as you (I don't have a single artistic bone in my body - just a very good 3D perspective/sense in combination with a photographic way of storing information/memorise something) but it is still useful when trying to decorate a home :-)

Marcy, have you considered paper planes for throwing at gum popping guy? They are pointy and might hurt him a bit more... I think most companies have too few offices these days. Kind of a trend, open landscapes are sooo productive (and cost saving..) yes? I hate backing the car around in the snow. Much easier to not get stuck when you are going forward. We have two cars, one of them is electric and without a 4 wheel drive - can be annoying..

Just realised that it is April fools day! Any good pranks? Hope the killer rabbits are behaving Marcy..

Happy Friday! S

Good morning girls! Happy April 1st!

Sharon, so glad you are feeling better! Hope you are feeling 100% today and enjoy a wonderful weekend. :appl:

Marcy, I am glad you were able to safely navigate the snowy/icy roads yesterday but don't hesitate to call upon Uber Marty. Men like feeling useful and it is up to us to keep them that way. 8)

Have you thought about wearing headphones and listening to music (or whatever else might interest you) to block out your gum cracking employee? Or just text us girls and we will keep you from noticing your cracking gum cubicle neighbor. Bing, bing, bing , bing... :halo:

Yes let's keep those killer bunnies behaving today. We know April Fool's is one of their fave holidays (besides Easter that is) and is just another excuse for them to misbehave. Let's keep them away from the Teddy bears OK? Just tell them if they misbehave you are shipping them off to Aunt Missy and Uncle Greg and cousins Francesca, Fred, Bobby and Tommy. That will keep them in shape. :Up_to_something: 8-)

Scandinavian, yay! Sounds like another lovely weekend for you and your family. The kids get to have fun with their grandparents and great grandparents and you get some private snowy romantic time with your dh. Win win. :appl:

Oh I hear you about bikini weather and how difficult it is now to lose a few lbs where when we were younger it came off just like that when we made the extra effort. Thank goodness I no longer feel that pressure to be bikini ready. I wouldn't think of wearing one anymore and I am doing everyone a favor that's for sure haha. Don't worry, I know you will be ready to wear your bikinis before you know it as you have a couple of decades before you are where I am. Your brunch of eggs and broccoli sounds delicious. Sending you lots of bikini wearing dust.

HRH Francesca thanks all of you for trying to get me to buy her that diamond tiara from Lang Antiques. Nice try ladies. 8-) :cheeky:
Thank you for the good wishes for today girls and also for all your love. I will keep you posted. Have a good Friday this April 1st and sending you lots of (((Hugs))). :wavey:

Marcy, just saw this and had to share it here for you. One of your bunnies texted this to me this morning. Do you think he is threatening me with those huge teeth of his? :o Hmmm well just tell him to get over here and I will show him how to make a terrific salad. :naughty: :big smile:

And lol look what I just saw HRH Francesca texting to Prince Bunny. I do think she is flirting with him and wearing my pastel pearls while doing so that little sneak. She didn't even ask permission!
Oh no Marcy I think we have trouble on our hands here. Young love. Sigh. 8) :cheeky:

omg what cuties.
I say buy Francesca that riviera you have always coveted and borrow it from her, since she borrows your pearls!

Cleaner here today - yay! I really like her.
I got up at 6am and sketched all morning - very uncharacteristic. I love it - so meditative and satifying.
DD comes home tomorrow. She has had a wonderful time . [when I think what it took to get her there!!!]
I did GOOD. For a while I thought I made a horrible mistake by sending her there.

I wish I could just hop in my car and come visit you all today.
more later - I should at least get dressed before my dear helper arrives!

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's Friday already - the week has flown by for some reason, it's almost a little strange lol. I'm sorry for not posting sooner but honestly I kind of lost track of the days.

Missy, I love the pic of the daffodils, they're beautiful and a great reminder that winter is finally wrapping up! I guess all things considered it wasn't that bad of a winter, but I'm still glad it's over (for the most part). I agree with you that we get a lot of cloudy, rainy days living on the East coast. We lived in Kansas for 3 years and the winters were very cold, but it was sunny most days and it did make a difference with lifting my spirits. One nice thing about SC weather is it gets chilly enough in the winter to feel like you have a change of seasons but you don't have to deal with any ice or snow. I guess it tends to be fairly rainy there though. And omigosh, the pic of the cat is SO funny! made me laugh, thanks for the day brightener! And lol to HRH getting a little too chummy with Prince Bunny, we're going to have to keep our eye on those two :cheeky:

Thinking of you today Missy and sending good thoughts (((hugs)))

Marcy, it sounds like our husbands have a lot in common - namely golf and tvs haha! At our Costco the jewelry and tv sections are right next to each other so dh will veer off to the tvs and I'll wander over to the jewelry case lol. The difference is you can only buy a certain number of tvs, but with jewelry there's no limit  It's great to know you can freeze the cheesecakes, that would work well with my mother, I could make a bunch and always have some on hand. It was nice of you to treat your friend to lunch and also very nice it turned out to be economical! There aren't' too many times in life you can say that. I'm glad that your move at work went smoothly, sounds like you're settled in - and sometimes being nice and easygoing pays off! Sorry you're still dealing with such sloppy and cold weather conditions. Lol to Uber Marty! You're right, your wonderful company is payment enough ha! It's a shame you're dealing with so much aggravation at work, I hope things settle down a little for you soon.

Sharon, sounds like you were really under the weather, so glad to see you're feeling a little better! Thanks for thinking about my mother, she's doing ok. And yes, I still had a good time despite the weather - dh kept apologizing for it and I told him it wasn't his fault haha! I told him the important thing to me was just getting away and being in such a nice place.

Scandinavian, sometimes I hold off posting because I don't have enough time to respond to everyone and I end up falling really behind, so I'm glad you just jump back in! I'm going to start doing that too. Sounds like you are a very busy lady and I'm glad that you can sometimes work from home, that must make things a little easier for you. You are doing such an admirable job juggling all the different areas of your life, I know it's not easy and very stressful sometimes. I love your new purse, it's really pretty! The color is lively and cheerful and just perfect to the warm weather that is (hopefully) coming soon. It's so nice that your children get to see other family members so often, it's a wonderful experience for them and is a great addition to their childhoods. It is creating special memories for them that they will look back on fondly when they are older.

Jimmianne, I'm so glad dd ended up having a wonderful time! :appl: And happy that your sketching made you feel creative and productive, those are good feelings. And woo-hoo to a clean house, that's a good feeling too

I'm afraid I might have gotten your hopes up with the promise of pictures lol! They're not that good…The pics of the house are older ones that I took on another rainy trip - excuse the repairs on the pool, it's now fixed! I did include a pic of the beach on a nice day.
