Junie wonderful that your dh arrived home safe and sound and I hope you guys have a lovely weekend planned. Good luck with the car and before you know it you will be taking joy rides around town. And perhaps on bling field trips...just saying.

Austina I am very sorry about your friend. It's a horrible disease. Our good family friend developed early Alzheimers in her 40s. It was tragic. She went from a vivacious upbeat enthusiastic woman to basically an emotionless vegetative state within a few years. Heartbreaking. I am so sorry and will keep your friend in my thoughts. There are a myriad of different conditions and hoping your friend has a mild form though still quite sad.
Hope you had a relaxing evening and wake feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. (((Hugs))).

Sharon how are you doing? Any update on your mom? Hope she is progressing nicely and that your weather is behaving unlike our weather.

Scandi any more sneak peeks for us today?:Up_to_something:

Marcy hahaha love that Snoopy cartoon. Oh that rascal.
I'm gad your 2 other employee appraisals went OK without incident. Whew. And good goal for the upcoming year. Wishing you good luck always.
And I am so happy your most recent retinal exam went well woohoo! Now that is excellent news.

And here is my take on the weather as it currently is a la Calvin and Hobbes.

@missy, Greg really gets me! Gagagagaga hshahahaha you made me laugh out loud on the train! Going home early to take T to the vet for an extra check up before Easter. Now people are looking at me....

Hahaha welcome to my world. He's handsome and funny. Do you remember the recent episode at the Philharmonic where I almost had to remove myself at the start of the concert because he made a comment I almost couldn't recover from and had to choke back laughter and tears. It was not a pretty sight.

Good luck to T at the vet! Hope it goes well!

Good morning ladies! Happy Friday! I’m eager for the day to be over and jump into the weekend. In-laws coming to town for a charity/group bike ride. I already have fresh pasta made and I’m making them roll out their own pasta for dinner. Then we have some left-over cheese from the anniversary party to share. Also, some left over chioppino I made this week. We should eat well tonight to have energy for the family bike ride tomorrow. On Sunday we have a friend’s wedding. Unusual date and time for a wedding but it’s an old friend from college who is finally settling down. I remember him telling me back in the day that getting married wasn’t his thing. Well someone surely changed his mind… haha! Hope ya’ll have a wonderful weekend. Be safe!

@missy – Happy Friday to you too and thanks for showing the snow pictures. What’s in store for the weekend for you and Greg? His comments about Scandinaivna’s stove was hilarious.

@Scandinavian – Oohhh so lucky that we get sneak peaks! Ahhhh sooo exciting!!!

@junebug17 – You have so much wisdom at age 58. I’ll have to ask myself what’s the worst thing that can happen and realize that I shouldn’t let something small ruin my moment or day. I’m in control and not my emotions! : )

@Austina – Sorry to hear that your friends might be showing signs of dementia. Do you think her husband is aware of it but just doesn’t want to mention it in front of guests? I hope they are getting the help that is needed. Tough situation to be in!

Oh for the meal, I’m going to make a big batch of curry and friend rice. Something that I can cook prior that doesn’t take a lot of time and people can serve themselves. Edamame as an appetizer. If you are still in town, you are more than welcome to stop by!

Hope you are feeling recovered from the drive. I get worn out too by the travels. Most by plane ride by car rides knock it out of me as well for some reason.

@marcy – I’m glad your last two appraisals went well but I’m saddened to hear about your boss’s assessment of your team. I can relate as my part time job right now is to automate an invoicing process. The lady is doing so many manual things and of course there will be some slip ups and typos. Whether I did it or a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist did it…there would still be some issues. However, as you mentioned, only the “mistakes” seem to jump out instead of all the other efforts that is required to get there. Are they willing to invest in the systems/process to make it less manual perhaps for your team? I think you are a wonderful manager to care for them in this way. Would love to have a manager like you one day… my current one… just came into the office for 1 hour and just left and this was the first time he was here this week. Sigh…

Hello lovelies

Thank you all for your kind words. I’ve been worried about my friend for a while now, and this latest visit just confirms that things arent right. She had a bit of a flip out, and her usually argumentative husband backed right off. He obviously knows things aren’t right, but is hoping she’s just tired or stressed. They have a pup and on at least 4 occasions in the recent past, I’ve sent her the link to a site of home dog boarders, when I mentioned it, she asked me to send her the link and it was obvious she thought this was something new. When I get home, I’m going to say we’re worried about her because she’s lost weight, and seems to have lost her spark. I don’t think I can mention the D word, just use general terms and suggest maybe she see her Dr for a check up. What do you think?

I’m glad your appraisals went well @marcy and your approach sounds like the right thing to do. It’s unfair for your team to get blamed for a few minor things in the grand scheme of it. Reusing your wedding rings for a new pendant is a great idea.

That Snoooy cartoon is just so dog! Dottie behaves like she’s been starved for a week if she has to wait 2 minutes for her food. :mrgreen2:

Thanks @PierreBear but we’re leaving on Wednesday :( Yum to the curry, I’m sure your friends will really enjoy it and have fun sharing their favourite quotes. You have a busy weekend with your outlaws coming and the bike ride  How far is the ride?

Your kitchen is fab-u-lous @Scandinavian. Is the Aga just for cooking or does it heat your water system too? Hope T’s check up went well.

I’m with Calvin & Hobbs @missy , I’m not looking forward to getting home to snow next weekend. Is the kitchen all finished yet? I’m sure you can’t wait to see it for yourself. Any plans for the weekend, or will you be staying in and snuggling up with Greg and the kitties?

Hi @junebug17 how’s life treating you?

We’ve been invited to Kim’s Mums tomorrow, her family are very sweet and hospitable, but I’m sure it’ll be another raucous evening :D

We’ve just been to see a lovely house, I wish we didn’t have to wait so long or be faced with uncertainty over the future :(2

Happy Friday friends, nearly the weekend :wavey:

Hi there all -

Missy, the Calvin comics are so funny! I hope you and Greg have a great weekend. Any special plans? That driving emoji cracks me up! That's exactly what I look like when I drive :mrgreen2:

Marcy, you make a good point - with your team doing thousands of entries, there are bound to be a few mistakes here and there. I can see why you'd be frustated that your boss comes down so hard on them. You are a great manager who cares about her employees and hopefully you can turn things around and improve his perception of them. Love that Snoopy cartoon! Dh loves, and I mean loves, driving the Macan - he said he couldn't wait to get home to drive it lol.

PB, you have a busy weekend ahead of you! Have a great time with your in-laws and enjoy the bike ride. Your dinner sounds delicious and should give everyone the energy they need. Have a good time at the wedding too.

Austina, I think it would be fine to let your friend know you've noticed a few things and are concerned, and I think it's ok to suggest a check-up. Maybe you could start off by asking her how she is feeling and see if she volunteers anything, and then share your observations. I agree that you should avoid the D word, for now anyway. So sorry about this, it's a sad and worrisome situation. Have a great time at Kim's parents' house!

Scandi, your AGA looks beautiful! Very exciting to see the progress that's being made! I hope T had a good check-up at the vet.

Finally figured out what's going on with the car - turns out it's the lane departure warning - when the car senses you're too close to the line on a 2 lane road it turns the wheel to keep you from crossing over the line and going into the other lane. That's why I wasn't noticing it on residential side streets. I can turn the feature off. I feel better knowing it wasn't just my imagination lol, and of course relieved there's nothing wrong with the car.

Hope everone enjoys their Saturday!

Junebug, I had that lane departure on my last A6 and absolutely hated it - it scared the crap out of me. I wouldn't even get it on the Macan. I have lane assist that it chirps if I am drifting but it won't grab the steering wheel. I am glad to hear your DH loves driving the Macan - Marty is always anxious to take it for a ride too.

I totally lost my post from earlier. I'll try to recap what I wrote.

Missy, great C&H's jokes. I am sure you and Greg will be out on some bike rides soon.

Scandi, your stove is awesome. I can imagine baking a billion cookies there. I hope T got a good report card at the vet.

PierreBear, have fun on your bike ride this weekend. It sounds like your supper will give you some good carb energy for tomorrow. Enjoy the wedding on Sunday. Around here people get married on other days than Saturday because the places to rent are cheaper on those days. Thank you for your kind words about my managerial skills. No matter what I try to figure out new ways to make our jobs easier. Sorry to hear your current boss isn't too involved.

Austina, I do hope your friend is seeing someone. I personally wouldn't say anything to her or her husband. I am sure they know. It is so hard to see. But I do like Junebug's suggestion to start with a simple how are you doing and see where that goes. She may have a story to tell but finds it difficult to start. That is too cute Dottie gets impatient if her food is delayed. Sounds like Marty. Darn that you found a house you like but aren't ready to buy one now.

Not much going on here tonight. I did a batch of laundry and watched Pitch Perfect 3. I have no idea what's on tap for the weekend.

Have a great day.
Marcy

HI:

Longest story (don't ask) ...............ended up at the San Diego Zoo. OK Splendid.

With lunch, I ordered 3 drinks: two sodas and lemonade. None of which I ever drink and therefore ordered at random from the fountain drink selection. GUESS what special reusable plastic cup my choice of "lemonade" was placed?????

Hamadryads Baboon.

I can't make this up. But how I they know?? LOLOL

cheers--Sharon

Good morning girls!

Junie what a relief woohoo! Glad the car is A OK! My goodness all the features can be quite annoying haha. I mean in the "old" days we all drove just fine. Maybe if people would just pay attention when they were driving we wouldn't need all the "extras" Oy.

Sharon when I used to go to Zoos (we dont anymore as Greg finds it sad) the San Diego Zoo was one of my favorite zoos right alongside the Bronx Zoo. And lots of good walking too. Those are the top zoos in our country. Glad you are enjoying!

Marcy wow you are always on top of things at work and at home. Good for you doing a load of laundry already before the weekend even arrived. Glad you enjoyed Pitch Perfect 3. I haven't seen the first 2 yet...worth seeing do you think?

Pierrebear yay it's the weekend.Enjoy your in laws visit and the bike charity ride. Sounds like so much fun. We are spending the weekend outside because finally the weather is lovely. Greg is at the beach house this AM starting the long process of cleaning up and putting away things but will be back here by 1 PM I hope. He is also going to Costco on his way back so he is a busy bee as usual.

Austina sounds like a lovely visit and I am with you. Wish the future wasn't so uncertain. Glad you saw a pretty home and hopefully one day you will find one to move into right here in the USA. Fingers crossed. Have fun tonight at Kim's mother's house. Sounds like a blast.

My new prescription sunglasses arrived yesterday (so fast as we just ordered them last Sunday!) before we went out so I wore the tortoise pair.
Here are some very goofy selfies because I know you want to see them.:P2

Outside with my new tortoise pair. Greg is not wearing his new pair that he just got at the same time as his new pair is not RX sunglasses. Just regular glasses.

newwarbysunglassesoutside.jpg

and here's my new blue pair inside. Not sure you can see the blue color well from that pic but at least you can see the shape and size.

bluewarbyparkersunglasses.jpg

and one pic from this AM of the beach kitchen. Greg will be refinishing/sanding etc the Dutch door, changing locks etc and then we have to choose door color on the outside and inside so not sure what color we will be going with. Leaning towards white or light gray inside and brown/gray outside to match our trim.

beachkitchenmarch2018southwestwall.jpg

OK that's my update for this Caturday Saturday. Have a lovely day girls!:wavey:

And welcome back @Jimmianne!!! (((Hugs))).
Can’t wait to hear more details about your French adventure and home purchase. :appl:

Missy, the kitchen is looking icy in all the right ways - ice queen ‘ish !

Missy, the kitchen is looking icy in all the right ways - ice queen ‘ish !

Haha thank you Sweet Scandi. Love your updates so pretty:love:

Your post reminds me of the RHOBH Erika Girardi’s tagline.

Some people call me cold, but that's not ice. It's diamonds.

:sun:

Hi NIRDIs!

Sharon, sounds like you need 3 glasses of wine. Sorry your day didn’t go as planned. I hope the rest of your vacation is better.

Missy, I don’t like zoos either because they are depressing. I took my nephews to the zoo in Denver when they were very young and that’s the last time I went. We invented PB / Oreo sandwiches that day. What are aunts for other than to teach their nieces and nephews bad habits? The Pitch Perfect movies are just mindless, cute, sometimes funny and sometimes touching stories. They are definitely chick flicks. Yay for getting your cool sunglasses already. They look fabulous on you. You and Greg are such a cute couple. I am glad you mentioned sunglasses, I guess if I see a lot better with my new left lens I should have them update my sunglasses. Your kitchen looks fabulous.

Scandi, how is T doing? How is your kitchen coming along?

It's 2:15 and I am worn out already. We got up at 7. I stripped the beds and have been working on washing everything. I decided it's nice enough to put up the flannel sheets and get our cotton sheets out. I have to wash everything for the guest bedroom too. I think I'll put one of our California King cotton blankets on the queen bed in the front guest room. It's a high rise so the queen blanket doesn't hang over the edge much.
I also made up some mini pizzas and mini meat-loafs for the freezer and went out to do that dreaded grocery shopping. I have 4 lbs of ground meat to make in to burgers and get those in the freezer as well.
I did some online shopping too but that was easy. I ordered us some steaks from Omaha Steaks, I ordered myself a short trench coat and a pink sweater from Land's End and a hydra flask water bottle from Amazon and of course while I was there I found some Snoopy sticky notes I "needed" for work. I also ordered a perpetual Snoopy calendar with sayings for a friend's birthday and ordered Marty some disposable protein drink shakers. Those darn things stink so bad and he frequently forgets to rinse them out. They are a buck a cup but that way he can take them with him if he is playing golf or heading to the airport.
Marty is out playing golf.
Right now I am sipping on my 8 oz of Coke (from a bottle). Next on my list is make up all the burgers for the freezer.

Marcy

Hi lovelies

It’s hot! :eek2: We’ve just been to an open house here where Adam lives. I don’t think a lot of people are used to seeing people actually walking anywhere because we often get strange looks from passing motorists

I love the shape of the sunglasses on you @missy they really suit your face. Looks like a lovely bright day there, although I’m guessing by the scarf, jacket and boots, it’s cold!

I’m tired just reading what your doing @marcy, I’ve enjoyed lazing about here but back to reality soon enough. at neeeeeding more Snoopy goodies.

Glad you found out what was causing the steering pulling @junebug17 I had that on the monster Yukon we rented last year and didn’t like it at all. I do like the lane wandering ‘ping’ though, and have that on my car. Glad to know you weren’t imagining things.

Hi @canuk-gal - baboons  those things have vicious teeth!

Hope the weekend goes well @PierreBear and you don’t get saddle sore :D

We’re going out soon, so have a great Saturday y’all ;-)

Austina, you are right that a lot of people don't walk around here unless it's in a big city. I have continued my chores all day and I am more tired now that earlier. I am down to one batch of clothes in the dryer, 3 more blankets and a batch of towels. I made supper for us and have the dishwasher going again. I think I'll be super lazy tomorrow. I can't say I am surprised you didn't like the lane assist on the Yukon you rented. When we were ordering what we wanted on my Macan both Marty and the salesman kept trying to get me to add it and I said no - I hate that thing. Like you said the little ping you get from the feature for lane wandering is more than enough for me.

Marty is watching the original move "Dune". I am not a fan of that movie so maybe I'll start reading in between washer / dryer loads.

Good morning girls!

Marcy you were a busy bee and good for you. Yes I have ordered from Omaha steaks before for my dad. He enjoyed that gift. Ooh yay for getting a trench coat and a pink sweater. You and I both did some shopping yesterday. See my purchase below. Thanks for the film description. Greg preferred the book Dune to the movie Dune as I just asked him. I have not read the book or seen the film. You had a very active and accomplished day. Like @Austina I am tired reading everything you did haha. Hope you slept well and have a fun Sunday ahead.

Austina wow to it being so warm by you. It's colder here today than yesterday and not as nice out but I enjoyed the nice weather while it lasted lol. Yesterday the temps were in the 50s but with the sun being out it was perfect for us. Supposed to warm up here next week. Glad you enjoyed the open house. Your visit sounds like it is going very well and I am happy you are enjoying it. Haha who cares that no one there walks. I say if you can walk do it. I love walking everywhere if I can and much prefer it to sitting in the car or the train. I want to walk as much as I can while I can if you kwim.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend and vacations for those of you away.

We had a lovely day yesterday. Visited the rescues in 2 different places and while we were visiting 2 kittens got homes woohoo.:appl:
We did a lot of walking and just enjoyed being outside. It was sunny and bright and brisk but not cold. And I made an impulse purchase. Fell in love with a new parasol at a shop in our neighborhood and despite the cost couldn't resist getting it. It has UV coating on it but is also good for the rain. Though till this point I have only used my parasols for the sun and not the rain but this one is too pretty to save just for the sun I think. In fact now I want it in all the colors lol but I must resist. Please excuse the colors that don't go. I didn't know when I got dressed that day I was going to end up purchasing a turquoise parasol or I would have worn the appropriate colors haha.

missyandparasol.jpg

OK girls enjoy your big and small good dog Sunday.:wavey:

Hello beautiful NIRDIs!
Missy I agree. I am not used to seeing you less than 300% color coordinated!
So now will we see the addition of some turquoise in your wardrobe and bling?

Marcy I have some medieval killer rabbit pictures to share with you. Apparently rabbits have been a problem for a long time! I didn't want to share on fb and have "other people" get more ideas! https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2015/04/05/10-medieval-rabbits-didnt-mess-around/#.Vu8qBpyZKYw.

Austina, what do you think of the houses in Texas?
Do they look as you expected? What style are you going for?

Hi NIRDIs!

Missy, you are looking stylish in your fabulous boots, new sunny glasses and fun parasol. I can see why you couldn't resist buying that parasol and how cool it can help block some of the UV from the sun. It actually looks like rain clouds here this afternoon. I am sure that is why Marty likes the movie Dune because he really liked the book. The movie just seems cheap, or creepy or something; I just don't care for it. That is awesome some of the rescue kitties got to go home with someone.

Jimmianne, those are some vicious rabbits. At least the ones that go after me or my bears only have felt teeth.

My dryer was going until 10:30 last night but all of our sheets and blankets are washed (the ones we are using and the ones I am taking care of until next time). I did start my book last night; it's the latest one by Dan Brown but I don't remember the title. It seems like it came out last year sometime, I just haven't read it yet.

Marty grilled me a burger and himself some chicken for lunch. I cut up some strawberries to go with our lunch and we had some cottage cheese too. I have no idea what I'll eat for supper. I don't feel like doing much cooking or cleaning wise. My right knee is rather ticked off at me today so I'd best take it easy.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We are watching golf.
Marcy

Missy I agree. I am not used to seeing you less than 300% color coordinated!

Haha just for you Jimmianne. I'm feeling blue today. A happy blue that is. So here you go. I call this "Shades of Blue".
Blue jacket, blue boots, blue sunglasses, blue dress, blue pocketbook and my new blue parasol.
Chance of rain so of course I had to take it with us.:sun:
missyandblueparasol.jpeg

Thank you Marcy. And my goodness you did a lot of laundry. Those killer bunnies really cause a lot of extra work for you changing their outfits so many times a day and going through all those blankets haha. I love Dan Brown and have read some of his books. Enjoy the one you are reading and let us know what you think. If it's good I'll purchase it. I am reading I am I am I am right now. But I haven't been able to devote a chunk of time to it yet so still only 100 pages in. Will let you know what I think. Not for everyone.
Enjoy watching golf together. Hi to Marty.

Missy, your shades of blue look fabulous. I know those Killer Rabbits make all sorts of messes. I did pull Snacks out of the pantry this afternoon after Marty headed to the airport. I will let you know what I think of the Dan Brown book after I got further in to it; I think I've read only as far as the 4th chapter.

We are getting rain this afternoon. I made some popcorn for supper.
Take care.
Marcy

Good morning from the mountains
I took some pictures for you before we left:

Thank you so much for asking about T. Really. He got a clean bill of health from the vet :mrgreen2: Thankful. Hugs to you all and happy Easter holiday. Will try to check in when the internet permits. Kitchen is supposed to get finished tomorrow or Wednesday. Hugs :kiss2:

Scandi I cannot tell you how much I love your kitchen! It is so bold, and rich in color and texture.

Good morning girls! Happy Monday.

Marcy, thank you. Rain beats snow. And yes to Popcorn for supper. A favorite alternative supper of mine as well. Enjoy reading your Dan Brown novel and hopefully it will be a good one. Love getting lost in good books.:read: Hope Snacks is behaving and enjoying being out of that pantry.:cheeky: Hope your day goes well and that your employees behave.

Wohoo!!! Best news! So relieved and happy about T getting a clean bill of health Scandi!
And I adore your kitchen. It's perfect. LOVE. Yay to being finished by tomorrow or the next day. You must be over the moon happy about that.:appl:
Happy Easter week to you too and enjoy the week.

GM Jimmianne hope you had a lovely weekend. What happening this week? Any Easter plans?

Off in a little while. Long morning ahead. Have a wonderful day girls.:wavey:

Hi everyone!

Missy, your new sunglasses look really good on you! The kitchen looks fabulous. So happy that 2 kittens from the shelter were adopted. Love your new parasol, such a pretty color. You look lovely in your shades of blue outfit. I think using a parasol is such a great idea. Glad the weather is getting nice enough to allow you and Greg to be out and about - it feels good to be outside without freezing!

Marcy, I don't like the lane departure feature either and I won't be using it. I'm so glad I can turn it off. Idk, maybe I'll use it when we drive to SC but probably not. Wow, you had a busy Saturday and I'm glad you got a lot done. I can see why you were tired on Sunday, it's exhausting to do so much in one day. The disposable cups are a great idea, those protein drinks can make cups very funky.

Sharon, lol to getting the baboon cup! Sounds like you're having a great vacation, have fun!

Austina, I agree, the lane departure feature is very distracting. So glad you're having a lovely time in Austin, enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Scandi, I love your kitchen! So exciting that it will be finished soon. The blue cabinets are beautiful, such a great choice. And great news about T, so glad he is completely recovered and healthy.

PB, hope you had a fun weekend!

Quiet weekend here - dh and I did go out for a nice dinner on Saturday. I ordered crabcakes and they were really good. Sunday was spent just doing some laundry and watching golf and basketball. DH set up the tv we brought back from SC and it's pretty cute how excited and happy he is with it. Kind of like me getting new bling I guess lol.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good morning and so lovely to hear about everyone’s weekend. We did enjoy the family bike ride. It was the perfect day where it was cloudy and only got hot after we finished. Well organized ride with a pretty decent lunch afterwards. Some really net antique bikes were on display over there. The tandem picture is for you Missy… how cool is that… side by side??!!! I hope this makes a come back!

20180324_080406.jpg
20180324_080745.jpg

In-laws drove back home and so we had Saturday afternoon to ourselves. Tried making ice cream in the ice cream maker I got for Christmas. We tried making honey ice cream and think the recipe called for too many eggs as it tasted more like crème brulee/custards but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sunday wedding was wonderful but given the time of day and how far away it was we stayed for dinner and left before dancing and cake cutting!! Oh my… but it was still a wonderful time and met some really amazing people. Coworkers of the bride who are adopting a little girl from Africa. Pretty amazing story! Anyhow, excited for my college friend to finally settle down. Of course weddings always get me sentimental about our own wedding. : ) Hope ya’ll have a great day!

@Austina – So kind of you to care for your friend and I think just expressing concern without saying the D word is a good idea. Let the physician point her in the right direction and there wouldn’t be a risk of hurt feelings either. Hope you had fun with Kim’s family and all the kids running around.

Maybe those motorists were trying to check out your bling. Hope you enjoyed the open house!

@junebug17 – Ohhh interesting. I’ve heard of newer cars having that lane departure warning. I’m glad you can turn it off but do you have to do it each time you turn the car on? I’ve heard that some things are default and you can’t permanently make that change. Our cars aren’t that new so we don’t have those features but another one that people complain about is where the car shuts down when idling (but you are still in drive) to prevent harmful emissions in the air. Glad you are enjoying the new car though and that there wasn’t anything wrong with it!

Yum to crab cakes. Lovely that your DH is excited about the tv. What did you do with the old one? I saw the other day at Costco that there were “curved” tvs. Man… they are coming up with everything!

@marcy – I hope you had fun watching Pitch Perfect 3. I think I watched the first one back in the day?

You were a productive gal this past weekend. Do Omaha steaks taste better than other kinds? Haven’t tried before. I’m a big fan of trench coats. Hope you show us a picture!

Sorry that your knee isn’t feeling well. What did you do that angered it? Hope it heals up soon.

@canuk-gal – Did you already do your Palm Springs vacation and then ended up at the San Diego Zoo? Hope it was a blast!

@missy – I love tortoise colored sunglasses. Looks so fashionable on you! I’m digging your scarf as well. What’s the pattern on it? Feathers?

You look adorable with your parasols. I saw your other thread that it might feel “unconventional” but you are right in other cultures it’s the norm. In Taiwan, I did as all the locals did and carried some sun protection.

@Scandinavian – Wow count down until the kitchen is all finished up… Such a cool stove. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it before but it looks heavy duty and ready to cook/bake/make everything delicious!

Can you see the birds?

Hi Junie and PierreBear and Scandi!

Junie glad you had a relaxing Sunday and that you enjoyed the weekend. Yay to your new tv being hooked up and yes new purchases are exciting. And thank you for your lovely compliment.

PB sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Cycling, family, wedding and good food. Great pics thank you. Lovely.

Scandi. Ooh, Birds. :kiss2: What a beautiful snowy scene. Hope no birds get harmed.:halo:

Just got back from seeing a new endocrinologist and he did a sonogram of my thyroid. I have 3 nodules and that combined with my symptoms means I have to be on thyroid replacement. He prescribed Armour thyroid and I will start it as soon as my pharmacy gets it in. As usual they have to order it. Anyway I’m seeing him in 2 weeks and hopefully this is the right road for me. Greg is pleased with today’s visit because the endocrinologist seemed confident this course would definitely help my symptoms. I’m not feeling happy about having nodules on my thyroid nor happy about having to take this med but hopefully it’s not serious and never will become serious. They have to watch it every 3 months I think the nurse said. To make sure they don’t grow. Fingers crossed they remain small and unchanged and don’t affect my health going forward.

Working out now and hope to just have a relaxing rest of the day after I workout. I’m very tired and glad to be back home.
Hugs to you all.
