Now I really did it :((

Ringo, I am sorry to hear you have many challenges as well. Big hugs to you. I am glad you find comfort when the nurse / counselor checks in with you. Those personal touches certainly make a big difference. i have totally decided to go with the 1/2 carat replica of what I lost. There are 2 E ACA in the .42 carat range that I am checking on to see if they will fit the mounting okay. I spent so much money in the last year between new windows, a new mattress, flooring and furniture that I just don’t want to spend a lot on a pendant right now. I admit I am a color snob so I’ll give up size for color. It’s also an occasional piece and something I’d wear frequently. I have a 3/4 carat solitaire pendant in YG and I wear it the most. Most of my RHR are YG.

Austina, that is a good idea to dab a little vaseline on Marty when he’s sleeping. He makes a bad patient. I did decide to go with that 1/2 carat pear shaped pendant. I like it the best even if it will cost me more money. The 1/4 carat version is slightly smaller than what I had; and since it’s a custom piece I am stuck with the mounting even if I don’t like it. I do plan on checking that the ACA is upgradable even if the mounting is custom. HPD has a few .40 carat diamonds and they posted on FB they will be lowering their prices. I have a $200 off another purchase from them, but I’ve be so happy with my pieces and customer service from Whiteflash that I wanted to give them first crack at my impulse buy. I am glad to hear when Dottie quit taking that anti inflammatory she perked right up. I had a similar problem; that stuff messed me up until I finally broke out in a rash from head to toe; I looked like I’d been burnt I had so many spots on me. I was almost crazy from the itching. I quit those pills immediately. Glad to hear Colin was happy with the results of the rugby match. Crossing my fingers and toes your gate and shower get fixed this week.

Keeliamira, that is nice a nurse reaches out to you as well. That is really a great service to provide. Oh no to needing repairs for having water damage on your house. I noticed some leaking along the ceiling in our den and they found the a spot they needed to fix on our roof.

Sharon, I am so ready for spring too but it’s been one storm after another around here and December temperatures. June will get here for us sometime.

We watched No Mercy; it was a rather interesting and depressing story. It’s about a guy who tried to sale around the world by himself in the 1960’s. I started a book today so I’ve been reading most of the day.

@missy, I'm really sorry about Francesca and I hope your sister can help. Love the pic of you on your walk, and those mugs are hysterical! I hope you had a good day today and are finding ways to help pass the time.

@Keeliamira, I'm sorry you are dealing with so many stressful situations right now, I know it can be really overwhelming dealing with so much at once. You are a wonderful mother and it sounds like you work so hard to take good care of your children. I'm sending lots of good thoughts that your husband's job opportunity works out. And oh no to the water damage, hopefully the repairs will go smoothly and quickly. Please take care of yourself, and I hope you can find ways to de-stress. Bling is a great distraction lol, and I'm so glad your new studs brought a little sunshine into your day. And I really love your gorgeous ering too!

@marcy, I think I'd be a little nervous using that instapot too! I think it's good you slept later than usual, it sounds like you needed it.

@ringo865, I'm thinking of you and hoping you are doing ok.

@Austina, fingers crossed on the gates being finished this week! I can't believe it's gone on for this long.

@Sandeek, thinking of you too and I hope you were able to relax and rest this weekend.

@canuk-gal, I hope the weather warms up for you soon. I'm with you on yearning for Spring. The weather here is chilly, drizzly, and dreary.

Just the usual today, a little cooking, some laundry, and watching golf. I did make it to the gym this morning for a class even though I was not that motivated...although coffee did help ha. I hope everyone has a good Monday!

GM girls! Happy Monday! It's a lovely mild morning. Greg's headed to the beach house to cut a new plexiglass feral kitty door because it cracked the other day. Probably got hit by a rock or something when going down or up so that will take a good chunk of the day. Travel time back and forth and then the actual cutting and installing of the plexiglass. Fingers crossed he finds no water in the house as we still don't know if the roof leak is fixed. Ahh the joys of a long distance home. :loopy:

@junebug17 glad you enjoyed a lovely peaceful weekend. Hope your week is off to a bright start.

@Austina thanks, I spoke to Debbie and we are continuing on for another week and will see how Francesca does. Hoping the gate saga is resolved very soon. Wow 7 months. Hard to believe because it feels like yesterday it happened.

@Tekate hope you had a blast and are now in recuperation mode from all the festivities.

@canuk-gal yay it's warming up by you and by us too. I am looking forward to Spring as well.

.

@marcy, thanks I slept well enough Saturday evening but last night a bit fitful. It's tricky sleeping with one's arm/hand elevated. I have abandoned the foam contraption for sleeping and just use an extra pillow to prop it up. I am doing OK though and hope my hand sweating inside the bandage isn't impeding the healing process. I hadn't realized how much my hand would be sweating inside this thing and I aim supposed to keep it dry so I'm a bit concerned as I was told not to touch or change the dressing and the surgeon would remove it/change it March 18th.

Glad you are sleeping well and your day yesterday sounded good. Haha good idea to leave the high pressure Instapot to Marty. ;))

@Sandeek thinking of you and hoping your Monday is off to a good start. I am so pleased you enjoyed a lovely weekend. We have to have Adam make that gorgeous pendant for us. Twinsies. :cheeky:

@ringo865 good to hear from you and glad things are proceeding smoothly. Sending more good wishes and healing hugs your way. You will get through this. Haha yes 20 miles on the stationary bike. Working out is my escape and the way for me to burn off excess energy including stressful energy. For me that is a gentle workout and I am trying not to sweat (window wide open and fan on me as I work out). Yesterday I did a light workout on my elliptical. No more energy than just a nice long walk really and the surgeon said (I think) that I could walk so...anyway I hope I am not making things worse and am trying to be smart about it. Hope you have a good week and are feeling well.

@Keeliamira oh my I am sorry you are dealing with water issues on top of everything else. I hope you can get that fixed relatively easily. And all your other challenges get sorted out for the best and to your satisfaction. I always say "sorrows shared are sorrows halved and joy shared is joy doubled" and also if we wait a minute things change. Life is in constant flux and sometimes we get more than our share but hopefully it will calm down and the situation will improve. Just takes some time...continuing to send good thought and hugs your way. I hope the job prospect your dh is waiting to hear from works out for you guys. Being closer to family would be sweet. Fingers crossed.

We had an indoor day yesterday as it was raining and I am trying to keep this thing dry. Played Scrabble again and cards and I did get to enjoy a gentle workout on the Elliptical and kept my arm on my shoulder to keep the hand elevated. LOL what a sight. Greg washed my hair in the sink and haha that was quite the mess but he did a great job. In fact he did a better shampoo and condition than I do lol and my hair dried pretty nicely...not frizzy despite the rain and increased humidity so I have to find out his secret.

Have a non manic Monday girls and sending hugs to you all. Sharing some sage words from Churchill. "If you're going through hell, keep going."
From what I understand this quote may not be from Churchill but it still is a good quote. And wishing for everyone calm peaceful times to come.
XO.

Leaving you with a humorous cartoon. This applies to daylight standard time I think but lol it is still funny and true.

@missy No joke re 5 ct D/VS - at least; I am ashamed to count how much my scholarly pursuits have been billed for - right over my head. You got me thinking about NIRDI & how much nicer academic life could be if universities had NIRDI-like parts; honestly I have only seen - one such NIRDI-esque circle: the oldest club of university women around, which sort of got me going into these things (seriously deceptive - I have never seen anything like that, and it all worked because of the lady in charge ,) - a ferociously fun ex-doc.)

@marcy Never mind sleeping in: I must have clecked in a decent 10 h.? It sure does feel good the day after.
Then, you remind me of the last time I did my toenails - then went on to a week of travel with a single bright blue one left coloured, each day forgetting to buy remover & deal with it (summer & stringy sandals too); I kept pretending I could not see my own toe nail each day!

__

I'd say this was the first day of summer: 28C - which caught me toting a jacket over a light (thx-fully!) sweat-er. Gotta do something nice about it.

Hello lovelies

Happy Monday.

@Keeliamira oh no to dealing with something else. Let’s hope you can get all the repairs done with the minimum of disruption. At least most of ours has been outside, I won’t bore you with the details but an accident outside our house ruined our electric gates and we had a big leak from a shower over Christmas. It literally didn’t rain but it poured - right through the kitchen ceiling! :D

I’m glad you’ve got some support, often voicing concerns can help alleviate the worry.

10 hours sleep @AV_ :-o You must’ve really needed that! Don’t think about the sparkler you could’ve had, education is priceless.

Hi @canuk-gal sounds like it’s going to be almost tropical! Plus temperatures, not sure I could deal with cold weather for such long periods of time.

You’re far more disciplined than me @junebug17, well done on going to the gym even though you didn’t feel like it.

I’ve got so many books I should read, @ Marcy I just don’t seem to get round to it at home, although I read copiously when we’re away. I got through 7 books on one cruise! I saw that about HPD we’re lowering their prices, might be worth a look even though your entirely satisfied with WF. I wear my little .39 pointer every day, even though it’s not top quality, but it looks bigger in the bezel setting, and just enough for day wear.

Glad you’re at least getting some sleep @missy, I’m constantly doing the Hokey Cokey - left leg in, left leg out, left leg in then I shake it all about

It’s so fortunate that your sister is a vet, must be very reassuring that you can speak to her with your concerns for advice.

Why doesn’t it surprise me that Greg has done a good job washing your hair, that man is truly a marvel :D

Colin spoke to the gate people and they’re coming on Thursday to install the gates  The plumber’s coming Tuesday of next week, so hopefully we’ll be all sorted then.

Beautiful bright crisp day today, but a cold front is coming across the Atlantic tonight :(2

Hi NIRDI’s!

Junebug, it looks like I’ll get familiar with that instapot but only in washing it. I think I did need the extra sleep. Do you adjust well to the DST change; I was pretty tired this morning. Glad the coffee helped motivate you to go to the gym. I’d be less likely to head to the gym if it wasn’t downstairs. I did 2 sets of presses tonight; I have a sore muscle in my neck and Marty swears it will help.

Missy, oh no that the plexi glass needed replaced. I hope Greg had a smooth trip. How are you doing today? I bet you can sleep better just propping your hand up on a pillow; that contraption would be awkward to sleep with. I wouldn’t think your hand would be sweating so much in the bandage; maybe call the doctor’s office to see if they can offer an ideas for you. I am glad you had a light workout on the elliptical; I don’t see how it would hurt. Of course don’t count on me being wise about such things. The puppies nailed it on DST. I was very groggy this morning. And the sun is back in my eyes on the way to work.

AV, it does feel good to sleep in, huh? Too funny on the blue toenail; I see people now with all 5 fingers or toes different colors, or just one a different color. See it’s fashionable. You can get your sparkler after you graduate.

Austina, it doesn’t look like HPD has dropped their prices yet. I will go with Whiteflash on my pendant. I am getting anxious now that I’ve decided to accept the price hike to hit the .50 carat mark. Is your .39 carat a pendant? I had an uncertified 1/3 carat that was a sparkler, I wish I’d kept it. Too funny about doing the Hokey Pokey when you sleep; that is how Marty sleeps. The end is in sight on your repairs. Sweet. Love the Snoopy Collection saying.

Work was March Maddening today but I keep diamonds on my mind which cheered me right up. We have a big blizzard on the way. Phooey.

Take care.
Marcy

@missy, I hope Greg made out ok at the beach house. I'm glad that some light exercise seems to be working out for you and it must have felt good to have your hair washed. Lol to Greg doing a better job than you! You'll have to find out his secret. I hope you had a good day today. Do you wear the cast in the house? It seems to make more sense than that big block! That meme is hysterical!

@Austina, sounds like your home repairs are going to finally get underway! I hope everything goes as planned. Sorry about the cold weather heading your way, stay warm! Love the Snoopy cartoon, so sweet and I feel the same way! <3

@marcy, all those stones look good! I don't mind SI diamonds, but if you'd prefer higher clarity the E VS2 would be a good choice. I do like those specs. And of course I like the first one because it's the largest lol! I think it's great you're going for a half-carat, as they say, you only live once

ETA - Marcy, just saw your post - yes, thinking about diamonds can definitely lift the spirits! You know, I think the time change did affect me a little now that you mention it. I was just out of sorts the whole day, and I was dragging a little today too. Ugh to a blizzard heading your way, I hope the weathermen are wrong lol.

@av, I'm glad you got a good night's sleep, you needed it! I'm jealous of your warm weather, but happy for you :kiss2: I hope your work is going well.

Same old stuff here - did a few errands, went to a class, made dinner and that's about it. Dh is getting his new car tomorrow, a new Porsche Cayenne, so that will be exciting. I guess Porsche completely redid the Cayenne? It will be interesting to see the differences.

Take care all! Xxx

Junebug, thank you for your input. I don't mind si diamonds either; they are a good value and I don't have that great of vision anyway. I was trying not to spend a lot on this pendant but I decided I may as well make it as nice as possible because I'll enjoy it more and not regret getting a larger diamond. Since the setting is burnish I worry the .55 might be too big. How exciting your DH is getting a Cayenne tomorrow. :appl: What color is he getting?

No regrets here; the financial side looks ridiculous & there sure is allot of risk to not think about. One of those pointy stirrup rings would be useful often!

All is well that ends well.

GM girls!

@junebug17 I don't wear the sling in the house, just when we are out. I use the foam contraption inside occasionally and the rest of the time rest my arm on the arm chair rest or elevate it on a pillow or just keep it elevated myself. When I am doing the elliptical I fold it over my right shoulder. Awkward but works out ok.

How exciting your DH is getting a Porsche Cayenne. Sweet. What color?

@Austina who doesn't enjoy the hokey pokey? Fingers crossed for successful gate replacement in 2 days. You have been patient enough. It is comforting having my sister the veterinarian available to hep our fur babies. She is the best so I know if anything can be done she can do it and give our babies the best care. Hugs to your fur baby Dottie. And hoping your human baby Adam and soon to be DD Kim are doing well.

@marcy you know one of my PS (and in general life) mottos is Go Big or Go Home 8-) so I think you know my vote. My sleep is just eh. Waking every hour but getting some sleep so grateful for that. How is work going this week? I did message the surgeon's office and more on that below. HRH sends purrs and kisses to Karl.

@AV_ I believe in no regrets as they are often futile. Rather I prefer to learn from past mistakes and move forward. I find it invaluable to learn from past experiences to make the present better. IOW, there really are very few regrets when you live life that way as each experience teaches you something useful you can use to improve present and future experiences.

I so value this wonderful warm kind and generous group of women supporting each other. Almost (or more) rare than a 5 carat DVVS diamond. Makes life sweeter and softer and more enjoyable and loving. I am super grateful for all of the NIRDIS.

Speaking of NIRDIS a shout out to and from our sweet @Tekate Kate the Great. She wanted me to say hey from her to all of you and big (((hugs))). I will let her share the rest when she returns. A big XOXO to Kate.

@Sandeek how is the week going? Hope you are looking forward to being almost at the finish line of this most recent chapter and we are all here cheering you on and sending bucketloads of healing dust and good thoughts. XOXO.

@Keeliamira hope you receive good news soon about your DHs job prospect near family. And are enjoying your new bling. (((Hugs))).

@ringo865 hope you are feeling good and doing well as treatments progress. And visualizing a complete recovery. Sending (((hugs))) your way.

@Jimmianne I know life is hectic at the moment with the upcoming wedding and Mr Monet's surgery but want you to know I am keeping you and Mr Monet in my thoughts and prayers. (((Hugs))).

So I messaged the surgeon's office through the portal yesterday morning around 7:30 AM just explaining my hands are sweating more than usual (my hands never sweat but figures when I am not supposed to sweat I can't stop them from sweating lol). I got a call around 12:30 yesterday afternoon from the surgeon's personal secretary sort of scolding me about not calling her and just messaging through the patient portal. She said that messaging could easily be missed for a day or 2 and I should have called directly. And I needed to come in now if possible. Oy, I messaged because honestly I wanted them to say it's fine and don't worry. Not go all the way back there. But I get it and wet stitches don't heal and better safe than sorry.

So Greg and I went via subway (not rush hour so thankfully I got a seat) and my dressing was removed and finger evaluated and the surgeon put a nw dressing on the finger with his cool dressing contraption. There are at least 3 layers of dressing and he has this machine that loops it over each other. It's cool to watch.
He said it looked good so woohoo.:appl: But he repeated I have to keep it elevated till my next visit March 18th and no working out. I didn't tell him I was doing light workouts because he said the wound looked good. And my sweating on the hands are when I am doing nothing. So not affiliated with working out. In fact the hand sweating that is new to me isa cold and clammy sweat. Not a working out sweat.

Weird thing is he didn't clean it between the dressing changes but I did not realize that till we were headed back home. Hopefully he didn't think his medical assistant who removed the original dressing cleaned it. I am going to think that was purposeful and not worry about it. Of course my hands are sweating a lot again. I think the bandage is making the sweat.::) It is a cold and clammy sweat.:knockout:

Anyway that was my adventure of the day Monday lol.
For those of you interested I will share a photo next post of the finger uncovered as I took a photo in between the change of dressings.

But WARNING PLEASE SKIP NEXT POST BELOW THIS ONE IF YOU ARE EASILY GROSSED OUT OR GET QUEASY OR JUST DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE FINGER.

Have a lovely day girls sending you warm ((((hugs)))) and bucketloads of good wishes.

Hi Guys, I’m watching After Life by Ricky Gervais. Have you seen it? Once you get past the first episode it starts to open up and I’m loving it. It’s lovely.
My two cents in this recommendation.
I never much liked him, now I want to go back and see everything he has done.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Wow Missy, it’s looking good. Aside from all those scary stitches!

Looking good, @missy!
I feel I haven't left any rock unturned this life time - nothing to regret & it is a good feeling. Then, I am back to academic work, somewhat retracing steps from ten years ago in a very different way ('backwards & in hills'!) Your Churchill quote sure does apply; they should put it on the college - big & bright.

What a Beauty, @Scandinavian ! WHOA!

@marcy oh no (!) about the water damage and your roof. I hope it’s an easy fix. Just sitting and reading sounds lovely. I’m glad you had some quiet time for that. The 1/2ct will be absolutely lovey in the pendant. I second GBOGH!

@junebug17 thank you for the ering love :D Staring at it in good lighting really helps too lol. Bling really IS the best distraction! I’m glad you made it to the gym, even if it’s just downstairs. Mine is too and I still I need to get motivated and do the same. I know it will help my outlook.Nothing like a new fast car for a pick-me-up (second to Dh and bling, of course). How exciting! Deets needed!

@missy I hope the beach house fix was an easy one. That’s quite a trek! And I do hope there wasn’t a water issue? How did that turn out? I hope everything was ok! And you are so blessed with Greg! What a wonderful dh to take such good care of you. Truly your bashert. Your poor finger dear :o I’m glad you were able to get the dressing easily changed. It’s miserable to not be able to sleep. I hope you can slumber like sleeping beauty tonight. Your body needs the extra REMs to heal. Qwqq

Oh @Austina! Water through the ceiling too? I had that happen a couple of years ago. I couldn’t figure out why it sounded like it was raining in my kitchen until I turned around from the sofa and saw water pouring through my recessed lighting! It’s a nightmare to deal with. I hope you are through all the major repairs at this point. And the gate on top of it... sending hugs and good thoughts for quick completion.

My Monday was sans electronics because I was called for jury duty. I was thankfully not selected, but sat there all day with a horrific migraine until 830pm listening to people being questioned before I was ultimately released. Today it’s back to work. I got confirmation that dd1 was accepted at a long term residential mental health hospital and is being transferred there. Thank god for insurance! Dh is traveling so it’s just me and the kids. I have every intent of binge watching something (not sure what) when I get home. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning girls!
I really have no idea where to start!
So lets start with you @missy, because whilst that finger looks like it is mending well, I do think you deserve some TLC and a big hug! Looks painful! And HRH also gets a super big and warm hug, I’m thinking of her every day! The world is not always such an easy place for beautiful girls with gorgeous dark hair.. Hugs to you both!

@marcy, I looked at the diamonds, all looks good. I hope you find one you dream about!!!

@AV_ LOL to a 5ct or education. Please remember that knowledge is the only thing no one can ever take from you. LOL. Silver linings… And thank you! He is a really nice dog! The sweat is probably from the bandages, makes me itch just looking at all that dressing! (I never get infections, so I tend to just ignore such things and go with the good-old “air is good for you” thing LOL please do not try the same!)

@Jimmianne, thanks for the recommendation! Will check it out if I get a chance! So cold outside this week, would be nice with a warm fireplace, a hot chocolate and movie night. Brrrrrr… freezing!

@junebug17, exciting about the new car! Keep us posted! PS: I think you meant to write “my new car” LOL. Good job for going to the gym! It’s hard to keep motivated in the winter!

@Austina, how is Dottie?

@Calliecake, how is your furbaby? I’m in a furbaby kind of week, LOL, hard to think of anything else.

The competition went well !! I’m so relieved! It could have been better, but it could also have been a lot worse, so I think I’ll settle for “well” as a description. On Saturday, furbaby T got a third prize. He was a bit immature in the way he searched for birds, at least part of the time, rolling around in the snow and barking from pure happiness… So he could have done better. But a prize is a prize! On Sunday, his search was much better, but the wind was difficult. So he ran out a bitt too far (a good search, but could not see him, so could not stop him when he) tried to take the birds all by himself (instead of stopping and pointing towards them) again and again and again… So no prize that day, LOL. But the breeder was there, and as he pointed out, T did find more birds than the rest of the dogs put together….

Hugs!

So cute scandi! Thanks for the update. How’s the old cabin?

Missy your finger looks like it’s healong up nice (yuck but nice).

Austina I hope your gategate problem is resolved once and for all!

Kate, welcome back! Can’t wait to hear all about your trip(s).

Sandee keeping you in my thoughts as you make progress thru this latest hiccup.

Everyone I forgot (I didn’t “forget”). Hiyeee!!!:wavey:

I'd be doing exactly the same in your kind of snow! (if only I were a little less lazy & go for it up the mountains nearby :shifty:)

We’re getting 50 cm of snow tonight. Kind of special...?

Hello lovelies

I’m with @missy @marcy, go big or go home  The S1 clarity isn’t going to be an issue with the biggest stone, so get as much for your money as you can. Can’t wait to see your pendant, how long did WF say it’ll take? Oh no to a big blizzard, keep safe and warm.

What colour did DH go for @junebug17 , was he swayed by your car?

Dottie is fine thanks @Scandinavian but she won’t be winning any competitions any day soon  What a good poochy T is, well done for coming third, that’s quite an achievement, and if he had fun too, even better.
50cms of snow :-o you’ll need to get the doggies stilts or they’ll disappear.

Hi @ringo865 how’re you? Yes, we’re certainly hoping Gategate will soon be done with.

I’m not of fan of Ricky Gervaise either @Jimmianne , but he’s an animal lover, so he can’t be all bad!

I’m glad you managed to get an appt quickly @missy , I don’t think your finger looks bad at all, looks to be healing really well considering it’s just a few days. Always good to get reassurance that all is well. How were things at the beach house, did Greg find everything ok, no more leaks?

Thanks @Keeliamira it’ll eventually get sorted out, I’m gradually learning patience, which is not a normal state for me ! :rolleyes2: Ugh to jury service, but glad you didn’t get selected. That’s good news your DD1 is going to get specialist help, I’m sure it must be a huge relief knowing she’ll be taken good care of. I hope you had a good day at work, and a relaxing evening.

A life lived with no regrets is quite an achievement @AV_!

Absolutely foul day here, freezing cold, thrashing rain and strong winds. I went to Pilates and Colin took Dottie out, fair trade I think

We’re going out tomorrow, we decided to do one of the trips we were intending to do with Bob & Shirley. We’re off to Blenheim Palace, Churchills birthplace. We’re dropping Dottie off to Tom at 9am, and heading straight off.

:wavey:

Oh my @missy That looks painful. And there are so many nerves in our fingers...it looks clean and yay for getting a good report. My Dr said the same thing when he gave me his personal cell phone number. He said do not email the practice, especially in a possible urgent situation, because those messages get missed frequently. I’m glad you are almost there. We are both counting down to Monday, in much different ways though. :silenced:
@Tekate Loved seeing you! Great pictures. Hope you’re feeling well and enjoyed your trip!
@ringo865 Thinking of you and sending healing vibes to you as well!
Sorry to be short, but it’s been a whirlwind here getting pre surgery cleared and ready for surgery and prepping for another possible extended absence from school, so busy busy busy.
Hello to all the wonderful NIRDIs! :kiss2: Thinking of you all and please know I am so very appreciative of how kind and compassionate you have been to me.

Hi NIRDI’s!

AV, bling does put a massive dent in our pocket books.

Missy, I am glad you had your bandage changed; I think you finger looks good for just a few days after surgery. Glad to hear the new bandage is working better for you. Did you ask him why you have to keep it elevated so long? I am curious. I bet sleep is difficult right now; I am glad you are getting in some though. Karl sends hugs right back to HRH. I definitely agree go big or go home. I did pick one of those 1/2 carats. More below on that. The NIRDI’s are more precious and rare than a 5 carat DVVS diamond.

Scandi, great picture of you and your fur baby. You have new makeup. Glad the competition was okay; T did good overall. We are expecting a blizzard with about 15-18 inches of snow but it sounds like you are getting a bit more than that. Stay safe. I like what you said knowledge is one thing no one can take from you.

Jimmianne, I am glad you are enjoying that series.

Keeliamira, the leak was several years ago; the roofers were able to fix the roof and I haven’t noticed any leaking since then. Our window on the other hand had to be replaced. It leaked like crazy in heavy rains. Your ering is gorgeous. I can see why you like to stare at it. Glad you didn’t get selected for jury duty. I got picked after Thanksgiving - the trial was 6 days. It was kind of interesting. That’s nice to hear your DD1 got accept to that specialist facility; I hope it goes well.

Ringo865, I hope you are having a good day.

Austina, I went with the smallest of the 3 diamonds based on Brittany’s opinion. I am with you on patience; it’s not one of my strong suits. Sorry to hear you are having bad weather. The trip to Churchill’s birthplace sounds fun. Have a nice time.

Kate, welcome back. The baby shower looks lovely and you and your DH are a cute couple. It looks like you are having a great time. Love the beach shot. How cool the baby is almost here.

Sandeek, good luck with your surgery. Sending mega PS Dust your way.

Junebug, I am anxious to hear about the new Cayenne.

It was gorgeous here today; near 60. I turned in our taxes and we went out for supper. Brittany posted a video of those 3 diamonds on YouTube for me. Based on the video I was going to go with the E 0.534 carat (mostly because my first AGSO was an E 0.534 carat) but she liked the f 0.504 the best for flashes under spot lights. She has picked well for me before so I told her I trusted her opinion. I should get it in 2 to 3 weeks after the order is placed.

Ready or not - the blizzard starts tonight. Joy!
Take care.
Marcy

@missy, your finger is looking good! You must be looking forward to Monday. I hope the day went by quickly for you. I know this has been such a hassle but it will be nice not to have to deal with this cyst anymore. I'm sorry you're having trouble sleeping, I hope it gets better for you.

@Scandinavian, congratulations to T on third place! Sounds like he did really well. Such a cute pic. I had to smile when I read T was just so happy to be in the snow! I'm sure you'll be able to work with him and get him to realize he has to be a bit more serious lol. And take care with all that snow, and stay safe and warm.

@Jimmianne, thanks for the recommendation, glad you're enjoying it. I'll have to check it out.

@Keeliamira, oh no to having a migraine during jury duty, I'm sorry and hope you're feeling better. Good news about dd being accepted to a facility, sounds like she'll be getting good care and I really hope it helps her. I hope you and the kids have a good week while dh is away.

@ringo865, hope you are doing ok, (((hugs)))

@Austina, I hope you and Colin have a lovely time, although I know it's probably a little bittersweet as well. Ugh to that nasty weather, I hate days like that!

@Tekate, welcome back! You've been missed :kiss2: I'm glad your enjoyed the DR, and that it was a lot nicer than you'd thought it would be lol! You looked lovely at the shower, and your ds and his wife are such a sweet couple. The shower looks like it was a really nice affair. Wondeful pic of you and John, you both look great.

@Sandeek, sending you good thoughts as you prepare for Monday, good luck getting everything in place. I'm sorry you have to go through all of this and I'm hoping everything goes as smoothly as possible for you.

@marcy, how strange you're going from 60 to snow in a matter of a day! Good for you for getting your taxes done; we haven't even started, yikes. I think dh wants to get to it this weekend. Although the Players is this weekend lol. I'm so excited about your new diamond! Brittany definitely wouldn't steer you wrong, it sounds beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Dh loves his new car. It's white. He has been driving a pre-owned 2017 Cayenne and apparently the new ones have been redone. He really loves the way it drives; he said it handles much better than the older one. He said it's as close to my car (Macan) as he's going to get LOL! He seems very excited so I'm happy about that. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet but I'll take it for a spin tomorrow...if dh lets me haha!

GM girls! Brief post for now. Finger is hurting quite a bit which is weird because first few days after surgery I was not in much pain at all and Greg for once is not being reassuring and wants me to call the office. I do not want to contact them again as I am thinking it is nothing though the surgeon said if the pain changes to contact them. But this is getting ridiculous since I just saw them yanno?

@junebug17 sweet on your dh's new white Cayenne. May you and he enjoy fun adventures with the new car. You guys sort of have matching cars now lol.

@marcy I think he wants it elevated to minimize swelling and prevent the cyst area from filling up with fluid. Yay for getting one of those half carats. Wise choice. That will warm your way during the cold blizzardy days. Speaking of which how is the weather now? How much snow? Snow day for you I hope. Enjoy and stay cozy.

@Tekate you and your dh and your family look beautiful. So pleased the trip and shower were successful and fun. You deserved a wonderful getaway.:appl:How exciting the baby will be here so soon.:kiss2:

@Sandeek this time next week I hope all you will feel is relief. I am keeping good thoughts for you and sending continued bucketloads of healing dust your way. XO

@Austina it is wonderful you and Colin are enjoying trips you planned on taking with your friends. I am keeping Shirley in my thoughts and hoping things are improving for her. Blenheim Palace sounds lovely. Hope you have fun. No leaks but we weren't there during the actual rain event and until we are we won't know for sure if it is really fixed. Fingers (haha) crossed. And good luck for your gate fix tomorrow.

@ringo865 hey there, sending more healing hugs and good wishes your way. Thinking of you each day.

@Keeliamira oh my sorry jury duty was such a hassle and kept you till 830 PM wow. Yay for DD1 being accepted into the health facility. That is wonderful news and hopefully takes one worry off your plate.:appl: When Greg got to the beach house he did not see water but again we weren't there when it was raining so can't be sure till we are there during a rainy day. He made a new feral cat door but also fixed the cracked one as it was a clean break so now we have a back up. Yes I got lucky and he is my b'shert. (((Hugs))) to you and hoping for more good news from you soon.

@Scandinavian how much snow did you get? Hope you're enjoying a cozy warm day with your family.

@canuk-gal saying hello and sending you (((hugs))).

@Jimmianne sending you (((hugs))).

Shout out to @PierreBear, thanks for thinking of me and right back at ya and (((hugs))).

Hope I did not forget anyone and wishing you all a bright happy day. XOXO.

Please keep Francesca and Fred in your prayers. They are both not doing well.:cry2: We are trying a new med on Fred and I had it overnighted so should get here today and hoping it helps him. As for Francesca we are just continuing with the inhalers and praying it starts helping her more. The other option is a lung biopsy but Debbie feels it won't help her treatment or prognosis as if it is the more serious disease there isn't much we can do.:cry2::cry2::cry2:

Sorry but wanted to share to get all your good wishes for them. I believe in the healing powers of good thoughts. Thank you girls so much.

Leaving you with this meme that I hope we all will be able to have in our life.
But make that 90 pretty please.
