Now I really did it :((

GM girls.

@junebug17 any updates re Zoe? Hoping you receive good news.

@Sandeek so glad yesterday went well for you. (((HUGS))) and more healing vibes being sent your way. Great news all around for you and your DD and may that continue. You are amazing. Teaching, dealing with all this and more and so strong and kind and compassionate and I could go on and on. You rock.

@Tekate so happy you enjoyed a wonderful mini trip with Chris. Missed you too. XOXO.
Francesca does have asthma but the question is does she have the intractable kind (PEI) or the treatable kind most people/cats have. The big question. Thanks for all your good wishes always appreciate that and your loving support.

@marcy the shrimp dinner fund raiser sounded lovely and glad you enjoyed the time with your sister and BIL. Sorry about the traffic on your way back though and I too am not a fan of traffic. Glad you enjoyed yesterday at home and had the cleaning lady come and also got a visit in with your friend. Sweet.

@Keeliamira hi there and sending more hugs your way looking forward to hearing happy updates.

@ringo865 continued healing dust and good thoughts going your way. How did your colleagues respond to your new hair? I bet it was a huge hit.:appl:
Thank you for your good wishes.

@AV_ thank you. And I do bet Francesca would fall in love with you as we all have here. (((Hugs))).

@Calliecake I had a hard day yesterday and please forgive me for not getting back to you. I am struggling right now. Hope you had a good day and are doing well.

@Jimmianne hope you had an uneventful flight yesterday and have arrived at your destination.

Yesterday was long and challenging. I will make it brief. The splint and gauze are off my finger (steer strips are still on the wound) but I have the most horrible eczema/dermatitis on that finger and it is now spreading. It is cracked and swollen (from not moving for those days it was in the splint) and it is quite the sight. It hurts it itches and to my dismay it got worse overnight. I am seeing my dermatologist this afternoon but if my experience with the dermatology field has taught me anything it's that for me rarely does any meds help these reactions. I cannot do steroids so not sure what David can offer me. I am more concerned right now about this reaction than the fact my finger cannot really bend and that we are not sure if the wound is healing as he left the steri strips on until they naturally fall off. I am supposed to start OT tomorrow but with the reaction getting worse I don't even know if I can. I am not exaggerating. It's severe. And of course the surgeon was like well maybe it will clear up now the gauze and splint have been removed but it got worse overnight so really don't know what is going on and it spread to my otter fingers.

Then we saw the endocrinologist and too long a story to go into but they did a long and unpleasant breathing test on me and the computer messed up and didn't save it and the doctor never got to see the results. He refused to put me through it again (it was unpleasant) so that was for naught. He is increasing my meds not sure I can tolerate it but we have to do trial and error as my thyroid is still very underactive and they took 14 vials of blood. My great veins stopped giving blood after vial 13 so she had to stick another vein for that last vial. Yup fun fun fun never ends. So we shall see if the increase in meds causes my palpitations to come back and if so we have to figure out another treatment option.

That's it for me girls. Sorry for the bleh update and I would greatly appreciate your dust for this eczema/dermatitis relief ASAP. I am hoping hard this doesn't become more out of control. My history with skin reactions is not good so I am concerned.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying a good week. Sending hugs and love your way. :wavey:

Screen Shot 2019-03-26 at 7.33.45 AM.png

Hmm I think that's 15 vials.

@missy whoa. I am so sorry about the finger, I can say that itching of eczema is sometimes intractable and my heart goes out to you. I have given vials of blood but never this much, to me that could make you anemic. I keep you in my heart Missy, not only do I send dust I send healing thoughts, and belief that at this time you are getting the best medicine possible. (((MISSY)))

Yes I enjoyed the quick run in and out of Brooklyn. Chris mentioned to me that when I come next time if I was going to meet up with you, I said hopefully when I stay for the weekend. John and I are going to look for an AirbnB as a regular place as staying with Danny is sort of out because there are 4 kids now! (which I am thrilled so no worries!).. So when you are feeling better and if you are in town we will have to meet up with Chris, maybe Kate too! I know you go to Jersey for the summers. So maybe not till you come back. If memory serves me, it's hot in the city in the summers, of course this is pre A/C days.

I hope Vanessa does not get the bad asthma... I keep you in my heart of hearts Missy, my old Irish mom said that when she wanted to impress her caring upon me.. :)

bbl and rest.

Thanks @Tekate sweet Kate the great :kiss2:

Took quick pics. It’s much worse in real life. Photos don’t do this justice...they make it look not bad lol. I’d be thrilled if it looked like this.

89F997DA-10A6-48B7-81A7-BC3CE1EB0FC2.jpeg 7BB7FDB5-8CBC-41E2-9814-1AA89D83091F.jpeg 85BE9132-6AB9-4DDA-8FD7-2EB392C7B50F.jpeg

It has spread to some of my other fingers.

Thank goodness for Greg who just washed and condoned my hair. Surgeon said it was ok to do that myself now but this eczema is super painful and I can’t imagine shampooing and conditioning with this hand quite yet.

Have a good day Kate. Hugs.

Hello lovelies

Oh no @missy, I’m so sorry that things are not going well. I don’t know if this will be of any interest to you, but someone I knew had incredibly severe eczema, bordering on psoriasis. They were given steroids, steroid creams, you know, the usual suspects for clearing it up. They tried everything, and this went on for a few years. Finally, they were recommended to try unrefined petroleum jelly, and you know what, it all cleared up. They had it on their hands, feet, neck and on their head. The transformation was amazing.

I’m keeping everything crossed you can get your thyroid meds sorted out so you don’t get those awful palpitations again, is this nightmare ever going to end?

Poor little Francesca, I hope she doesn’t have that awful type of asthma, and the treatment can get her stable. You must be thoroughly fed up with everything going wrong all at once. Sending lots of love and hugs to you both.

I hope Zoe is doing well @junebug17 and the tests come back all clear. Sounds like you had fun having DD and DS at home over the weekend.

I’m sorry @Calliecake, I thought when you were talking about having teeth out, you were considering dentures. I would speak to the dentist about a different mouthguard if the one you currently use isn’t stopping you grinding your teeth. I second @Tekate that you really need someone who only specialises in implants. It is very much a separate speciality here, and not something that general dentists do. Our patients were always referred to specialists, and of those that had implants, I don’t recall any of them having the horrendous problems that you have all been through. The only patients who had problems, were the ones who’d gone abroad to get them done cheaper, and basically had wasted their money in order to save a few pounds.

I’m glad you had a good time with your family @marcy, and can imagine it wasn’t much fun driving home alone. Glad you had heat, there’s nothing worse than being cold. One of our previous neighbours bought a top of the range Merc a few years ago, and had nothing but trouble with it. I’m not sure what was wrong, just that 2 weeks after getting it, it had to be taken away on a transporter, so obviously something pretty serious. It was away for weeks, and when he got it back, he didn’t have it long, before it was carted away again. I think in total, he was without it for about 6 months.

I hope you had a good journey @Jimmianne and that you’ve arrived safely in France. You know where we are if you want to pop over!

Goodness @Tekate, ‘little’ Autumn is going to be a whopper! Sounds like a good idea to get there soon as she could well be early. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a car for that length of time, Colin usually sleeps, so I only have the SatNav to talk to! I’ve asked the plumber to source the part now, so hopefully, he’ll get it and know immediately whether it’s the right one or not.

I hope you had a good day at work @ringo865 and didn’t feel too self conscious with your hair hat.

Hope it’s all going well @Sandeek and your’re doing well.

Have you had any flashes of inspiration yet for your title @AV_ ?

Hi @Mamabean and @Keeliamira hope you’ve both had a good start to the week.

Sorry about not checking in yesterday, but we had a few things going on. It all started so well! We got a phone call first thing from the gate people asking if they could come to finish the gates. Of course we said yes. They duly turned up, and cracked on. Got the lights on, finished tidying up, and changed the remotes for ones that would enable the gates to stay open. That took us up to lunch time, so we had lunch, then took Dottie out.

It was a beautiful day yesterday, and when we got back, Colin did a bit of tidying up in the garden before he had to get ready for an appt. at the hospital. It gets so busy on the approach, that I dropped him off before the hospital, and he walked in. He messaged me when he was leaving and I went to collect him. When we got back, I drove into the garage, and he put the bins out. I got out of the car, pressed the garage door opener and walked out. We got to the front door, no keys. I’d locked them in the car! I hadn’t had time to find a suitable attachment to put an opener on my car key, so we were locked out. We have a key holder, so we rang, and he said he was close by, but needed to go back to the office to pick up our keys. So we were standing in the freezing cold on the driveway, waiting for him to come. It was about 45 minutes before he arrived, by which time it was nearly 9pm. We got in, I made a cup of tea and we went straight to bed to warm up

Went to pilates this morning, and I know I’m going to ache tomorrow.

Wishing you all a good day, and sending lots of hugs to those who need them :wavey:

@Austina dang, BUT what a smart idea to have a key holder!!!! so sorry you had to wait outside in the cold, I can see John and I breaking a window and of course we would set the alarm off, ha! Pilates is why you look awesome! Hope today is a little brighter for you! :wavey:

Morning Nirdis! waiting on hearing how the birth of Anne and Dan's baby goes.. I'm on the text line with my brother in law! Can't wait to hear, will update when I hear something.

Thanks @Austina I’ve been using my non petroleum jelly jelly hoping for relief but woke this AM to it being worse. Everything I’ve tried to no relief. I’m remaining hopeful that I will find relief though it’s not looking good. Praying David has something that will help though this is not my first time at the eczema rodeo and I have tried it all. But you never know and I appreciate your input and advice. So much. Thank you. Hugs.

So glad you enjoyed Pilates and hopefully any aches you experience from it are mild ones.

Oooh so exciting @Tekate ! Keep us posted and buckets of good luck!

@missy, I’m sending dust and hoping the appointment with David goes well today. He has more of an understanding of what works and doesn’t work with you. It will interesting to hear what he thinks caused the redness and bumps on your hand and if he thinks the blue thing they put on your finger may have caused some of this. I hope he is able to put your mind at ease and says this is easily treatable. When do you go back to hand surgeon?

@Ringo , I hope things went well at work. Please try not to be self conscious. You may end up loving the ease of just putting a wig on and going out. Please remember during this process and your treatments that what you are going thru is temporary. You will get thru this Ringo and your life will feel normal again. You have an amazing husband standing by your side to help you. Lean on people for support if you need it. Very few of us get thru life without having a couple hard challenges along the way.

@Tekate , How exciting to know you will have a new family member by the end of the day. Do they have a name picked out for him? Thank goodness you are leaving a week early for your trip. How exciting that Autumn may be arriving sooner than expected. Im sorry Chris has the aggravation of now getting his car fixed. Does he at least know who hit his car? Thank you sharing your experience with Mercedes. To get the car exactly the way I want it I may have to wait 120 days. Infiniti and BMW’s have been the best dealers I have worked with. Mercedes will only look for a car at dealers within an hour of where they are located, which I can do without help from them. Infiniti had a car I was considering. The car that was the color and options I liked was located in North Carolina. They said if I wanted it, they will get it for me. I didn’t have them bring it in as I hadn’t made up my mind, but they could not have been nicer Honestly Kate, I’m surprised my picture isn’t posted at every dealer saying do not let this woman enter the store. Ive been pretty lucky that with the exception of one dealer, they have all been kind. I’ve been to 8 different dealerships the past few months.

@Austina , Hopefully the plumber can get the part needed, fix it and you can be done with this annoyance. Thank goodness you had Colin with you when you got locked out. I’ve been there with being locked out twice. They were comical looking back now, but not fun at the time. No 20 year old wants her neighbors seeing her in her bathrobe and snow boots, rollers in her hair, one eye done up in make up and the rest of her face undone. I’ll never forget my friend telling her fiancé “See, none of us look like you think we do without the magic of makeup” LOL. I’ve seen two oral surgeons who specialize in implants. I’ll see what the surgeon and dentist recommended and make up my mind from there.

@junebug17 , Sending lots of dust for Zoe and hope her bloodwork comes back good.

@marcy, Are you getting the pendant later this week or are you thinking you won’t have it until next week? It sounds like you had a nice time with your sister and BIL. I laughed about you not having to worry about keeping up with the car in front of you? DH has said a few times over the past few days that if I get the Mercedes, it’s not going to go as fast from a complete stop as my last car did. I thought of you and @junebug17 on Saturday as we passed a Porsche dealership. Thank you for all your thoughts on cars. All but one of the dealerships we have been too had nice people working there. I’m just glad none of them have banned me from entering the store.

@Sandeek , Thinking of you and hoping you are well.

@Jimmianne , I’m hoping you had a good flight and are enjoying your time in France. You must be thrilled to spend time with your daughter.

@av, I’m very curious about the story you mentioned. I hope you will share it after you the pick the title.

I’m sorry I haven’t read all your posts..I’ve been popping on and off in the jewelry threads because my son and I are cleaning out my garage. My husband saves everything and he’s away on business so I’m taking this opportunity to purge. Last time he went I threw away all his college textbooks that he thinks he’ll need one day....Sheesh...I’ve only had time to pop on and off PS.

I came on here Missy to see how your finger was doing...thinking it must be so much better..to find out your having a hard time..:(2 Excema is awful...I have it along with psoriasis on one foot. I know that stress causes flareups for me so wondering if the stress of the surgery caused yours. I wish I could give you a magic tip but I don’t have any. There’s a topical medication they gave me once but it causes thinning of the skin so I stopped using it..When mine flares up I use something like Aveeno oatmeal bath...It really calms it down for me..I also will use calamine lotion..but of course speak to your dermatologist..I hope it clears up soon..:kiss2:

@missy I have never seen that much of any one's blood! The Doc must have been trying to distract you from illness - with a good ol' scare. I wish you can find a beautiful kind of distraction instead, to help the tedious (to put it mildly) treatments along.

@Austina @Calliecake I did much of the remaining writing yesterday & have obviously survived. Then, I got down to writing the tale of this thesis - very appropriate for the time of the year (March 20). I intend to have a 'naming party' ,) - like they do for ships, & will tell.

Hi NIRDI’s!

Kate, oh no that Chris’s car got hit. Did they leave a note so their insurance has to pay for it? I am enjoying my new laptop; I can type so much faster since the space bar works and I don’t get extra letters. I totally love my car. It’s fun to drive. At least if you and John set off the alarm you’d know the code. Pretty exciting about the baby.

Missy, I am so sorry to hear about your finger and hope the dermatologist had some suggestions. Mega dust coming your way. That is a lot of blood drawn there. That doesn’t sound fun. You are right the picture doesn’t make it too bad but I can sure tell it’s irritated and I bet it hurts a lot. I hope you are doing better tonight.

Austina, I’ve had good luck with unrefined petroleum jelly too. Wow that really sucks for your neighbor to have his new car quit and be tied up for months. My 2005 A6 locked up on me and had to be towed to the dealer (after the warranty had run out of course). It was torn apart in the parking lot and they had to order in a new computer chip from Germany. About a month later and still no chip or resolution I traded it in for a new A6. A few months later they finally got my car fixed - all it turned out to be was the steering wheel locked up like it thought it was being stole. You’d think they’ have a reset button. Yay the gate is finally done. Oh no for locking yourself out in the cold. I am glad you had someone who could rescue you; too bad it took so long for them to get there. Glad to hear you enjoyed pilates.

Callie, it sounds like your Infiniti dealer takes good care of you. That makes a big difference and earns repeat business. Your story about being locked out is pretty cute - looking back but probably not at the time, eh? I am hoping my pendant shows up Saturday but I don’t know yet. I am getting pretty anxious to see it.

Mamabean, that is a chore cleaning out the garage. Good luck.

AV, that’s awesome. You are making progress.

I started my return to work with my boss walking by my desk and saying “we need to talk”. An hour later I got to start my work. I got my 20th work anniversary certificate today plus a gift from Tiffany’s. It’s a silver business card case with my initials.
After work I picked up earring jackets that they made in to dangle earrings. I like them.
It was gorgeous here today. 63 degrees and hardly a breeze; it was like I walked out of work in to a warmer parallel universe. Strange.

Take care.
Marcy

tiff.jpg caseearring.jpg earring.jpg

Congratulations @marcy! The earrings look beautiful on you,

@av , Don’t they also christen the ship with a bottle of champagne? Drink the champagne @av. You definitely deserve a celebration after all your hard work.

@Mamabean , Did you get the garage cleaned? You are a brave women. That is one job I can’t see myself ever tackling. I would let my husband keep anything in there just to get out of cleaning it.

@Calliecake Like smashing bottle onto hull? I'd do that!

Good morning NIRDI!

Marcy, so glad to hear that the weather has changed for the better, you really got slammed this winter. What a lovely gift, congratulations. And the earring are pretty. You have young ears, perfect for nice earrings.

Missy, actually from the photos, it is bad enough! The only product I that has ever helped with my eczema is Luxiq foam. Hurts like the dickens when applied, but it works. I only use it for flairs. Have you tried it?
I know stress makes mine much worse. After the long day yesterday everything is so itchy and weeping. What to do??? Crazy that no one has figured out a cure yet. Sending you dust and love.

Austina, how awesome that the soap opera « Gate » has reached the season finale.

Tekate! Waiting on your news!

Callie, thank you, and I hope you get your dream car soon. Have you decided?

Hi to everyone. XX

Yesterday was long long long, but uneventful.
I am so happy to be « home » and slept almost 14 hours. The garden is in bloom. I was greeted by large fragrant Iris. I have great plans to renovate and renew it since I can stay all summer to keep it alive. I even bought a real live house plant when I food shopped. What a luxury to be able to stay so long.
The farm is overwhelming to me now, so how nice to walk into a tiny house here with no other bodies to take care of, and a tiny garden with no mowing!
Back to bed with a book.

Happy day, NIRDIs.

I’m popping In to say good morning but will be back later! I’ve been reading tons of pages! I’m ready to go out into the garage again!! What a mess! I am having my son paint it when we’re done!

Girls today is much worse. Heading in to see the surgeon at 11 AM in between his surgeries. Finger is infected now and even more swollen and eczematous. Also might see David again this morning because I called him at 7AM and he wants to see me after the surgeon probably. This is surreal. Yesterday he felt it was a true allergic dermatitis but now it's infected and the surgeon and David disagree on the diagnosis. Anyway forgive me for not reading your above replies. I will try coming back later and reading and replying. Right now I am very scared because I have metal in my leg that can become infected if my finger is infected and the pharmacy is still closed so waiting for them to open and hopefully I can get my antibiotic to start healing this infection.

Hope everyone is doing well. TTYL.

Quick visit back later:

Dan and Anne are the proud parents of Evan Charles, born 10:30 10/26/19 at NYU, Evan weighed in at 9lbs and 3 oz! ha! Danny was 22 1/2 inches long but he didn't know how long Evan was nor did my brother in law Charlie! so don't know that yet. Mom, Dad, baby, Grandma, Aunt Kate, Old Aunt Kate (me), Grandpa 1 and 2, are all doing fine. Next up: Mike and Cara!

@missy I understand, I have metal in both hips and osteomyelitis, it's a HUGE FEAR and I have a slow moving bacteria (the actinomycites?) come back when you can. Sending you strength and love

added: in looking at your picture I'm sure you have allergic dermatitis, I have to have allergy free bandages etc because I am allergic to regular tape etc.. so you need air I think to help clear that up Missy, I hope they give you a topical antibiotic also. xo

Oh no Missy! Sending you healing dust.

Kate, congratulations on the new baby Evan.

@marcy the earrings look gorgeous on you. LOVE. Wear them in health and happiness.
Thank you. I am scared right now. If the metal gets infected...
@Sandeek wonderful news! So happy for you and your DD.:appl:

@Tekate thanks sweetie. And huge congrats again. So happy for your family!

@Calliecake I hope you get your dream car soon. Exciting and it should always be good choices like this.

@Jimmianne sorry you are having a flare. David thinks mine is a true allergic contact dermatitis and purely from being covered up with the chemical the surgeon used to paint on the steristrips. The surgeon thinks it's from being covered and irritated and a true irritant contact dermatitis. SO differing opinions but same reaction. And now it's infected. Hope you find relief soon.

@AV_ thanks. I could use major distraction right now. Wish I could say 15 vials was the most but not even close.

@Mamabean thanks so much for your good wishes. Hope your garage cleaning is going well.

@Austina glad it's all fixed. What a relief.

Hello to @junebug17 and @ringo865 and @Keeliamira and everyone else I missed. Hugs to you all.

@missy, I'm very sorry about the dermatitis and infection, sending lots of good thoughts that those antibiotics kick in quickly. What a stressful and unpleasant endo appointment - I hope the blood work helps with your treatment plan. Fingers crossed you can tolerate the higher thyroid medicine. I can see how this is all overwhelming and I hope you can figure out ways to de-stress and relax a little as you make your way through this rough time. Sending lots of hugs, hang in there.

@Calliecake, sending you lots of car-buying dust! Good luck with your decision!

@ringo865, I hope you're starting to feel more comfortable in your wig, it looks fantastic on you! Sending good wishes and hugs your way.

@Tekate, omigosh, that was quite the car ride! Oh no to Chris's car being hit, such a major inconvenience and just an overall big hassle, I hope it can all get taken care of asap sad :(( My dd lives in the NYC area and her relatively new car is already dinged and dented in several places, grrr. Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of Evan Charles! Fantastic news and I'm so glad everything went well. :dance:Now little Autumn has to make her grand entrance! You must be getting so excited.

@marcy, glad the furnace turned out to be a false alarm! Your get-together with your family sounds like it was a lot of fun; it's so nice to get a chance to spend time together and reconnect. LOVE how your earrings turned out, they look great on you! It was such a good idea to turn them into dangles. Congrats on the certificate and the Tiffany case...it's gorgeous! So happy to hear you're enjoying some nice weather, you deserve it after the winter you've been having.

@Austina, oh no to being locked out! That cup of tea and warm bed must have felt SO good. Fabulous news about the gates being completed! You must be thrilled to have this finally over with. Hope Pilates went well and you're not too sore. <3

@Jimmianne, so glad you made it to France safe and sound. And I'm so happy you're happy! :kiss2: Enjoy your relaxation and rest, you derserve it. xxx

@Mamabean, good for you and your son for tackling the garage! Such a pain and a lot of work, but it feels so good to see the results.

@av, I love the idea of a naming party! :appl:

Hoping to hear about Zoe's blood work today...if I don't hear by the afternoon I'll call the office.

Had a busy and fun weekend...dd was here, so ds came over and we all spent time together. Ds wanted to bake cookies to bring into work so we all hung out in the kitchen and made them together. Ds and a co-worker used the same chocolate chip recipe to see who could make them better, but it turned out to be a draw lol. And dd actually went through a few of her boxes she has here at the house (although there are many more boxes left haha). She also got her car serviced while she was here; so much easier to do here than where she lives. She left last night and the house is too quiet without her :cry2:

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday so far! Love to all!

Thanks @junebug17 Junie. Have you gotten Zoe's results back yet? Hope you receive good news.

Update: Saw the surgeon who called my eczematous swollen reaction "impressive" and proceeded to say he never saw such a severe reaction. In fact he called me one of the truly sensitive and rare patients. He said everyone thinks they're sensitive but I really am. He called his partner in for a second opinion. They have me on oral antibiotics and told me to continue the topical steroid but not to cover it as David had me do. He also called David to confer. I am seeing David tomorrow. I am worried. No one seems quite sure what is happening. It's hot and swollen and very scary looking. Much worse than yesterday. And the biggest blister inside the skin you ever saw. If that pops I will be open to infection. You can imagine how uncomfortable I am right now.

@Sandeek how are you feeling today?

@missy Oh no! That sounds awful. And like a mystery as well...I do know that feeling when they just aren’t quite sure what to make of you. I am glad that they have put you on oral antibiotics and are being diligent about infection, and that you’ll see the surgeon tomorrow. You just cannot be too careful with infections. Hindsight is 20/20. :knockout:
I’m feeling ok...thank you for asking. Waiting on the nurse to come and take blood before my evening infusion. It definitely won’t be as awful as your blood draw as we already have an open IV line. Just taking one day at a time, working and trying to pamper myself. I hope you are doing the same Missy.
((Hugs)) to all the the NIRDIs that I never can’t keep up with but do feel and send all the love ❤️

ETA @missy Being impressive is never a good thing when visiting the medical professionals. I’ve been called that too....please be well ♥️

@missy Ouch..That looks so uncomfortable! It reminds me of a diaper rash. I think someone here mentioned letting it be exposed to the air. I do think that would help because if it’s irritation from being under the bandage..the air will dry it out..I feel so sorry for you!

@Tekate Congratulations on the birth of little Evan! How exciting!
I forgot to tell you I also have a son Chris..He’s my oldest...He’s my grouchy one though..Everyone feels bad that my youngest has Autism but he’s not a problem at all. Whatever grey hairs I have are from Chris..I tell everyone that he had colic as a newborn and still has it!

@Calliecake I’m also looking for a new car. My husband had the bmw 5 series sedan and I have the X3...His car is one year older than mine but he drives tons..back and forth to New Jersey from Pa a few times a week so there’s lots of mileage on it..It’s been giving him trouble lately and feels he getting blood sucked haha from the dealer. He told them not to replace anything except for safety..He said if one more thing happens to that car I’m getting a new car and he’ll take my x3. My car is such a mess from Bailey..He has two layers of fur and he molts like a bird..We couldn’t trade that in...Anyway..If you can pass on any info I would appreciate it. I’m going to look into the Mercedes 350 but I’m not sure if there are different models in that series because I see different styles in the 350 on the road. Maybe those are just older models..I also need a low hatch in the back so Bailey can jump in the back.
We’re still working on the garage...sigh..but it’s coming along!

@Jimmianne How wonderful you are in France. What part are you in? I haven’t been many places in Europe because I wasn’t able to go with my son when he was younger..but now he’s a great traveler so I want to make up for lost time. We were talking about going to the south of France...We went on a Globus taste of Europe tour a long time ago but didn’t like it..although loved getting at least a glimpse of everything. I planned a trip to Italy two years ago with my son and pregnant at the time daughter-in-law. We had the best time..I’m Italian..although I don’t look it at all...I searched high and low to see how my meatball rated against their meatball..I was horrified to find out that they didn’t have meatballs on the menus!:eek2:

@marcy Your earrings are so pretty! Did I understand that Tiffany made them for you?

@ringo865 Hugs and wishes for your treatments to go smoothly for you..:kiss2:

@av :wavey:I hope you’re taking time to smell the flowers if there are any blooming where you live! :P2

@Austina Are your gates finished? Did you post pics? I spend so much time reading the posts and then realize I didn’t know about something or curiosity gets me..so I wind up going back even further..so I may have missed it!
I loved Texas and I know you will love living there...The only thing that would keep me from living there are the palmetto bugs..I met all my neighbors on the first day I moved into my house in Houston. One was in the kitchen and I screamed like I was being murdered..People came running in and one guy took it and threw it down the garbage disposal..Yuck! I poured gallons of bleach in after it..{{{shiver}}}

I’m about to cook dinner but willl be back..Sorry I missed some of you!
:kiss2:

@missy DARN! .(

@Tekate WHOA! .-)

@Jimmianne I so love iris from the minute Juno up. They are at their height here & I can be found comparing scents & colors, not that I could ever choose! @Mamabean so I do & this habit made me a terrible snob re perfume - funny not funny

@junebug17 This 'naming party' is getting real: I am writing to reviewers asking for their take on coining (a very appropriate word).

Will catch up from the other side of this last dash.

@marcy Hi Marcy and a huge thank you girl!!! Evan looks like a 3 month old baby from the pix that Danny sent me, but then again so did Mike and Chris so it's not surprising. Marcy those earrings are total smack.. they look elegant on you! very beautiful. No whoever hit Christopher's car - they hit it and ran, obviously a jerk, idiot, moron with no insurance who was probably loaded, so Chris is on the hook for the deductible. :( he can't wait to move that car out of the city, right now he has it at a co-workers home in Passaic, he's driving it down the the party in April for his aunt and we will continue driving it to Austin to give to Mike. My sons are good men. Lucky me for sure. Looking forward to seeing your pendant!!!

@Jimmianne glad you arived safely and are sleeping... your words describing the flowery smell makes me happy, spring is coming! Jimmi you mentioned you were considering switching homes with the caretaker couple I believe, are you still considering this? I think you said you are probably going to live permantly in France also? I think so.. Home is where the heart is :) looking forward to some pictures of your gardening in France this coming spring.. xoxoxo

@Calliecake have you decided on which car? I will say that Mercedes-Benz of Austin tried to charge me 900$ to have my car shipped from Lousiana to Austin, so I looked the sales guy straight up and said "This is a deal breaker", "you want me to buy a 60K car and charge me another 1K to ship it to me? NO". So they ate it. The BMW X3 we just ordered and didn't have to pay shipping charges, the good thing about having a factory in the USA. I gotta tell you a story about Audi in Austin, when I decided I was going to go high end car (for me high end was an E320, and A5, or BMW 500 series), I went to Audi first because it was the closest! so I was walking around looking at cars, opening doors, looking at prices, waiting for someone to come and offer assistance, NO ONE DID, of course I looked dishelved, one of my pants leg was higher up on my calf, my coat was open, hair was messed up, I had come from walking Chris to school before, I waited and waited at Audi, then I left and went to Mercedes of Austin and 3 guys came out right away and talking to me so I went with the mercedes, truth was I liked the A5 a bit better but I thought it was pretty shoddy to assume just because I didn't LOOK like I could afford a mercedes didn't mean I couldn't. Turned me off to Audi, so far, forever.

@Mamabean My Chris is quiet, but my older son is just like your Chris.. they do finally grow up tho! hope all is well with you girl.xo

@Jimmianne sending a huge hug and hi to you.. glad you are getting sleep Jimmi, your words about the smell of the iris... my mom grew irises and I loved them they were my favorite flower of spring when I was a kid, my mom grew all kinds of things, spring was always beautiful in my backyard as a kid. Getting close to the wedding! xoxoxoxo

@missy boy oh boy it looks like something turned your eczema into overdrive. I am so so sorry this has happened to you Missy. Don't worry too much at all about systemic infection at this time it's really only immunocompromised people and kids who get these types of infections, but it certainly is something to be totally totally aware of. I will check in a whole bunch tomorrow to see what David says. You don't need this stress with Vanessa and life in general.. I'm here for whatever you need.. Hopefully a night without the bandage on will calm down the redness a bit. So sorry Missy, wish I could fix it for you. xoxoxoxo

@AV_ how are you and have you gotten your title yet? how's your weather? how are you?!! xoxo

@Sandeek Hi! Sandeek how many more infusions? how are the wedding plans going? I think of you every day and wish this whole thing was over for you. Are you working? I miss stuff since I've been in the city back up here doing whatever I do here :) sending you a huge hug Sandeek, contact me any time. xoxoxoxo

@Austina happy dreams lady! It's 1:00 a.m there now.

@ringo865 Hope you are feeling well and love your hair cut it's a pixie cut, had a bunch of them when I was a kid! sending good vibes and dust for you and hope you are still standing up to the chemo! xoxoxo

@Scandinavian Hi Scandi!! how's things up your way? still have snow? how's the little ones and your dog? xoxoxo

@junebug17 Hi June!!! thank you for your kind words about my grandnephew Evan, I can't wait to meet him! but probably not till late May early June! How's Zoe and the results June? I hope all is well. Yes Yes on can't wait for Autumn's arrival.. they seem mellow on googletalk but me I can't wait!!! :) thank you so much for your words June, appreciate it very much. My kids have been gone since 2005 and 2010 and I still miss them every day, I miss the fighting, I miss the life of my house, but I also love that they are doing well so it's a trade off.. your kids sound wonderful June.

@Keeliamira sending a hi!

I'm getting tired and am watching Samurai Jack too! love this bizarre cartoon..

bb tomorrow and good night to all and thoughts to @missy on getting a good, healing night's sleep. Hoping tomorrow is brighter Missy.

Hugs to you all.

Kate

@missy, so sorry your skin condition is worsening and I hope the topical steroid starts helping. It's good you're on antibiotics. You are doing all you can at this point and I'm sending you calming thoughts. It's great the doctors conferred with one another, that is sometimes not the case! I hope David can shed some light on this tomorrow. Take care and try to get some rest.

I spoke with the vet today and she said Zoe's kidneys are compromised and to encourage her to eat and drink...multiple water sources around the house, adding some water to her wet food, and offering wet food often during the day. She also prescribed a probiotic because I've been noticing Zoe's stools are loose. She wants to see her in 3 months. Good news I guess in the sense it could be a lot worse lol. Thanks to everyone for their concern and caring!

@Mamabean, good job hanging in there with the garage! I know it's a lot of work.

@Sandeek, glad to hear you are feeling ok, and also glad to hear you are pampering yourself! Sending lots of good thoughts as you make your way through your treatment.

Take care everyone!
