Now I really did it :((

GM girls.

@junebug17 hope you have arrived safely at your destination and found your luggage too. And hope you are enjoying your time away.

@missy You are doing everything possible to help your furry kids..I know how hard it is to make an animal eat or drink if they don’t want to. When Bailey was sick I tried to get him to drink water. I would put his mouth in the water and he wouldn’t drink it. I had to put pieces of wet food in his mouth and blow on his nose to try to make him swallow...As soon as I let go a ball of food would fall out because he didn’t swallow it. Dogs are easier too...I grew up with cats..They’re fast and no way could we get them to take a med if they didn’t want us to...Air conditioning is important so they can breathe..especially during the heat wave we’ve been having. I know this is multiplied with three cats..and the stress of losing Francesca. :(2

Thanks Joanne. I am so sorry you went through that with Bailey. I know you get it and I am sorry you do. It's a dire situation right now and we are both completely exhausted. I have a sense of impending doom. This is not going to end well. Big amount of vomit this morning (mainly undigested hard food) and don't know which kitty. Struggling to get them to eat.

I didn't sleep worth a darn. I left my normal PJ's home and wish I'd brought them because I was cold all night. The AC kept kicking on and waking me up, the pillows are flat, and some scent in the bedroom was making me sneeze. Marty was up well before 4. I woke up at 6:15 because some gardener was blowing off the patio for some reason. Marty is at the gym now. I am washing sheets and towels. Last night I ran all the glasses, plates and faux silverware through the dishwasher. The rental isn't bad but has some things missing. I can't find a dishrag just a nasty old sponge. No thanks. They only left 2 towels and 2 wash clothes in each bedroom. Their cable package must be basic but at least I can play music channels. It's way better than a motel.

Marty is at the gym - they gave him a great deal - $10 for the week with unlimited access.
I had cheerios and strawberries / bananas for breakfast.
It's nice not being at work.

I bet it's nice being away from work. Sweet. And that is a sweet deal Marty got for working out. Darn to leaving your PJs at home. Can you pick some up at a store around there? Or maybe a heavier comforter? Or adding to the blankets that are already there? You probably already thought of these options. Hope you slept well last night. Yuck to what they left you. Old sponge and only 2 towels and wash cloths. What the heck? Glad it's still better than a motel. Yum to cherries and strawberries and bananas. :lickout:
Glad to see your "kids" getting along.

@Scandinavian any updates re your mom?

missy I am so very sorry for everything that you are going through. Your loss is huge. Having them all sick on top of your loss is something I cannot imagine.

I am sorry to just jump in here... although I don't post much I do read now and again, and I couldn't help but wonder if your fur babies are sick with grief? Even if that is it, I'm not sure what one would do to help alleviate that enough to get them the hydration and nutrition they need. Maybe simply that they need the hydration treatments for a time until they can start to feel interest on their own again.

Again, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and Greg and your fur babies.

@rainydaze, I so appreciate you posting here and for your kind comments. Thank you. I cannot believe this is happening but just like what happened with Francesca (there are times I still cannot believe she is gone ands so quickly too) it is real and it is a living nightmare. Greg says I need to take it moment by moment and stop looking ahead. But that isn't changing what is happening and I am trying to just take it moment by moment. I cannot believe how many tears I have left but they keep coming. It is so painful to see our beloved furbabies suffering and not doing well and being unable to provide them with relief. It is not yet time to euthanize anyone but if/when that time comes I will not hesitate. I don't want anyone suffering without any possibility of recovery and will not knowingly put them through needless suffering. This is the hardest thing I can remember ever going through. With all our furbabies at once. Thank you for chiming in to offer support and comfort and empathy.

Have a good day girls. Staying home for the rest of the week to care for our furbabies. Not leaving for more than an hour. We have to monitor them and hope for the best but I am expecting the worst. It's not going well but we are not giving up.

((Hugs)) @missy ♥️ Don’t give up. If anyone, and I mean anyone, can save your boys, it’s you and Greg. Continued love your way. ❤️

@missy I’m so sad for you..I just wanted to say I’m so sorry you and Greg are going through this. I’m praying for strength for both of you..:(2 I hope a miracle happens and they start to improve.

@missy , you are one lucky woman! ,( what are the chances for all to fall at once!
I wish I knew how to tell you to not worry - I have no idea if anything can be done differentlly than you are doing, however, you might know better without the worying twarting you.
Greg might be amused to hear that in my Orthodox calendar there is a day of worry (the gist is the same as he tells you: care is not worry); despite such authoritative command & yearly reminders to trust that what cannot be known is worth living through, I FREEZE, often, famuosly...

Just a mellow day here - there are poached summer pears & a decent goat cheese to be dealt with.

av_ Glad you found a new friend:-) good friends are hard to come by

@Scandinavian It is not difficult to meet new people, but turning informal with any of them is - all men, all the time! I am not sorry to be growing old here - wrinkles & white hairs seem to simplify things already somewhat ,)

HI NIRDIs! I'm back and it was whirwind! a norma 3 1/2 hour drive to Naugatuck CT took 6+ hours, no lie, an hour into our drive down we were STILL IN MAINE! accidents all over 95, we neve go onto 90 to go thru MA, the whole time we were pushed onto side roads, we were 1/2 hr late for the wedding, good thing my niece was too! so we saw the whole thing! it was Brilliant and Beautiful and we had a wonderful time.

@junebug17 I hate when flights are cancelled even though it's often for a good reason. Just another reason to spice up your wardrobe I guess. June, I bet your husband likes or LOVES to go to your home in SC, people who travel a bit (or a lot) for work seem to love to be peaceful and at the lake, pool or beach. Hope you get to where you need to be! xoxo

@Calliecake hello girie! how's things? hotternhell here in Maine again sheesh.

@missy Hi Missy I hope the kids are feeling better and you and Greg too. Both John and I have been hitting claritin for allergies up here to grass. Missy, is it possible they all ate something outside say that was very bad? I dunno, I know that kennel cough is big at our vet's place but I don't know if kittens get it too? I constantly have you in my mind.. I sooo hope the shots and your love and food and water get's all 3 of your furbabies feeling better. I feel that care for our animal kids is as expensive as human care I really do. My heart is with you and I send virtual hugs and caring to you and Greg.

@Mamabean Hi Joanne!

@marcy Your picture is marvelous! you are pretty, young and cool (a young version of me! ;-) ) it's hot in AZ I think, dang it's hot everywhere really.

@Slick1 getting my implant put in next Wednesday, I'm getting knocked out. good. I can't stand the stress. My regular dentist is an idiot, what else is new! hope you are doing well and enjoying the summer Slick!

This is my niece and HUSBAND! as they were reciting their vows, they have been together a LONG time and have my 13 year old grandniece, but the wedding those two put on was fantastic and I enjoyed every minute of the LOUD DJ, I danced, drank some wine and ate and I loved every minute of it. I don't have one pix of me, I wore the dress I wore to Mike and Cara's wedding 2 years ago. Why not! John wore his wedding suit from the wedding also, but a different tie. Our next up wedding is 9/28 in VA with our niece Dana. Then next year our nephews Steven and Jeremy, hopefully that is it for a long time :)

Need for go shopping and clean up this place. I send love to all of you.

Hi girlfriends!
I hope everyone is doing well...
@mrs-b I’ve been thinking about you all day. I hope your operation went smoothly..and that the surgeon was able to do it laparoscopically.
@missy I’ve been thinking about you guys too...I hope you’ve been getting some rest. It must be very exhausting between the worry and their care..
@Tekate :wavey: The traffic to your niece’s wedding sounds horrible...I truly hate traffic! How can you plan that it would take you double the amount of time to get there! The bride and groom look gorgeous. I love the stained glass windows in the church...so beautiful...
@junebug17 :wavey:
@Scandinavian Did your mom’s results come in yet? With all the technology today you would think it would take no time at all...Waiting for them is horrible.
@marcy You’re always doing laundry even when on vacation! I would have washed everything too! I have favorite pjs too...I actually sleep in scrubs...A nurse friend gave me a pair once because she said they were so comfortable...She knew I get up early with David and have no time to take a shower until after he gets on the bus..I roll out of bed..brush my teeth and hair and get him on his bus that picks him up at the house...I can’t sleep with any other pjs anymore..I hope you are having a great time and it’s not too hot. I heard it’s a dry heat in Arizona...
@Slick1 How are you doing? How was your surgery? I hope it went well....
@Austina I hope you are having a great time..My friend loves the outlets..She moved to Rehoboth Beach...They have outlets very close to her house. She’s in heaven. She had a black belt in shopping..
:wavey:@calliecake Are you still feeling good? I hope that your stone is gone for good. A friend of mine had a stone that was caused by drinking lots of ice tea...I never heard of that but thought I would mention it just in case..
@AV_ The photos you posted are so beautiful! Omg...It really looks like a magazine cover....
I got my blood results back and realized my doctor forgot to order my platelets count which was high on the list. I was really frustrated as I gave up things for three weeks to see if it made a difference. Now she wants me to come back in three months to check them. My vein should heal by then...
My neighbor had her surgery yesterday...I don’t get embarrassed or uncomfortable easily..mainly because with three boys I’ve seen everything...but it was very uncomfortable yesterday picking up my neighbor. They asked me to come back to the recovery room...My neighbor and I aren’t close...and they were rattling off all the medications she was taking etc..asked me to dress her, etc...I felt very uncomfortable. I took her home and made sure she was okay. I told her to call me with anything...but the whole thing which I can’t really get into was a little strange.
I have to pick up my son Chris from work. His car is in the shop..Talk to you later..

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, I hate to hear the kitties aren’t better today. Keeping you all in my thoughts. I do have PJ’s just lighter ones than I normally sleep in. It was better last night; we had the fan on lower and I got chilly so pulled out my sweatshirt and put if over me like a blanket. I slept okay.

Slick1, I hope you are doing well.

Mamabean, how is your neighbor doing? That sounds uncomfortable at the hospital. Probably they thought you were family. Scrubs do sound comfy to sleep in and convenient to get around in the morning. My uncle was a surgeon and he wore scrubs frequently. Good idea! I am always doing laundry and dishes. Darn.

AV, glad to hear you are having a mellow day.

Scandi, beautiful pictures. Keeping your mom in my thoughts.

Kate, oh no for being late to the wedding but it sounds like you didn’t miss anything. Glad it was a beautiful wedding. Thank you for the compliment and yes it’s hot here. I loved seeing the wedding picture - beautiful bride.

Not much going on here. Marty made breakfast for some of us, we all went and lifted and now are heading out to the BIL’s place. And it’s HOT!

Hello lovelies

Is that usual that they’d expect someone picking up a patient to dress them @Mamabean, I’d have felt uncomfortable too. Grrr to them not doing the test that was high on the list, after everything you had to go through with the blood test, sheesh!

Oy to the traffic @Tekate, glad you finally managed to get there and it sounds like you had a blast at the wedding anyway.

Hope you get a better night’s sleep @marcy, I find pillows either too high or so flat that you just can’t get comfortable at all.

Everything crossed for some good news about your Mum @Scandinavian

Continuing to hope for some positive news @missy, I’m so sorry this is proving to be such an awful stressful time for you. You’re doing everything you can for the boys, if anyone can give them a fighting chance you can.

Yesterday was awful here, we started on the road to Kim’s sister, and the weather was dire, thunder, lightening and so much rain we couldn’t see the road. We decided to turn back because we were worried about getting in an accident with people who don’t know how to drive in that weather. We saw a tree get struck by lightening, which then caught fire.

Kim and I went out to lunch with @PierreBear today, it was lovely to see her, and she was wearing her beautiful anniversary rings.

Sorry for the brief post, we’re going out soon, and then tomorrow we’ll be heading home :(2

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are having a good day :wavey:

Hi NIRDIs! Hope all is well!
Unfortunately, my surgery was bumped to the 31st of this month. A cancer patient needed the slot, so I gratefully gave it up. Still disappointed since the wedding is getting close and I wanted to check this off my list as well as have ample time to heal. Still weaning off of the antibiotics in hope the c diff is gone. I’ll know more after I come off the meds completely for a week  I’m nervous....
Summer is going well and we are taking a well-deserved beach vacation next week. Last summer we had to cancel so this summer I booked a refundable (just in case) hotel on the beach in SC! Getting a lot of things done around the house that I’ve neglected this last challenging year!
@missy thinking of you often and hope today there was some improvement in your babies. Such a heartbreaking situation and I have no meaningful words that would help other than as always sending hugs and love to you all. :kiss2:
@Tekate hi friend. I will certainly be sending lots of dust your way that the implant is successful this time! My reparative surgery is rescheduled and then maybe I’ll explore implants. Apparently the new fibula bone they used in the jaw has a lot more blood flow than the mandible does and will be harder to infect. Still scared $hitless. My DB just got implants and he did fine. Beautiful picture of the wedding! So many weddings to come! Once they start, there is a steady stream of them. Nice that you could reuse a dress! I added pics of the new ring in the stack of the day. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/stack-of-the-day-thread.228681/page-64 I now own two Tiffany platinum and rose gold Lucida bands in different widths. Call me Goldilocks, one’s too narrow, one is too wide!
@marcy So nice to be away! I loved AZ when my DD lived there. The heat is unreal though, and like our winters, where you just stay inside. It makes one wonder which is better?! Enjoy your family with just the right amount of visiting time. :shifty:
@Mamabean Sorry to hear that the dr didn’t order one of the important blood tests. That stinks that you have no answer. Why can’t you go back for that test? Hope all else is well! :kiss2:
@Scandinavian thinking of you and you’re mom’s results. Waiting is the worst! Hoping and praying it isn’t serious. I Love your lake home! Serene and peaceful!
@junebug17 I hope you are enjoying your time at the beach.
@AV_ what a beautiful location you pictured above and good on you for making new friends. I’m terrible at that with some social anxiety. But I can teach a large group of students without a problem....go figure. Good luck with your letters!
@Calliecake Hoping you passed your stone by now and that you are feeling well! =)2
Sorry if I missed anyone! :wavey:

Good morning girls!
Still no news here so please fill me in on yours. Even if it is booting. At least it will give me something else to think about LOL.

GM girls.

@junebug17 I hope you are having a wonderful time and enjoying everything including the arrival of your luggage. XOXO

@marcy lovely scenery and glad you slept better the other night and woohoo you got to lift. Yay to Marty making breakfast. Stay cool and enjoy the rest of your time there with family.

@Tekate What a beautiful wedding and how wonderful you have a few more happy occasions to look forward to though I get it can be expensive and exhausting traveling to all these happy occasions lol. Oh my re your traffic and thank goodness you got there before the ceremony. Fortuitous that the bride was also late. Traffic is the bane of our existence much of the time. If not for traffic we could go to my sister's animal hospital and get there in less than 2 hours vs the over 3 hours it takes in traffic. Glad you were able to wear one of your already lovely dresses. I have done the same. Why not? Fancy dresses should be enjoyed and worn more than once and good for you that it fit you too. Men have it easier in that department and no one thinks twice about them re-wearing their suits and tuxes.

I agree. Health care for animals is more expensive in many cases than for humans. We have spent thousands in the past week. I am grateful we can afford it. But even if we couldn't we would get the money somehow. They are family. I wish we had health insurance for them but truth is I am not even sure health insurance would have covered all we did and are doing so it might not make a difference. Just one add on blood test (free T4 for Tommy) cost me over $250. For one finding. It doesn't matter though and just want our babies to get better.

Thank you for the love and well wishes and sending you love and hugs too.

@AV_ I wouldn't wish this luck on anyone :( I trust you are well and that your projects are progressing. Your life is filled with riches because you have passion and are driven to reach goals. That is what makes life worthwhile. That and rich relationships of course. Hugs.

@Mamabean Ugh, so upset for you that the doctor left out an important blood test. I swear it is the norm these days to experience sub par health care. I am furious for you. My endocrinologist never emailed me my results from 2 weeks ago after telling me he would send it a few days after my appointment but because I have had so much on my plate I don't even want to know so I have been ignoring it anyway. And sorry about your uncomfortable experience picking up your neighbor at the hospital. No good deed. I can share stories. But for now will say you are a good neighbor and a wonderful person for doing that for her. I hope her recovery goes well. Thank you for your well wishes for the kitties. Yes we are both exhausted. We have been getting up now at 330 AM for feedings. I don't care because we will do whatever we are able to do to save the kitties. It's the unknown that is scary but pushing dark thoughts away and taking it hour by hour. Hope you are feeling well and strong and that your son's car is out of the shop soon.

@Scandinavian keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs my dear.

@Slick1 thinking of you and glad you are enjoying the summer. And as for the surgery being delayed I think it is a good thing and time will tell. You will be healed and back to your beautiful normal self very soon. I feel it. Sending you hugs and love and thank you for your good wishes and friendship.

@Austina oh my, you made the right decision to turn around. It is always the other drivers who cannot drive in inclement weather who cause the accidents. Sorry your plans were thwarted but safely above all else. Sorry you are going back home already. The time goes so fast. Safe travels. And thank you for all your good wishes. XO.

We gave Fred IV fluids yesterday and he tolerated it well. Right after treatment here he is.

More of the same today. Wash rinse repeat. Trying to get them to eat. Grooming them. Spending time with them and doing what we can to make them feel better. Hope everyone has a lovely day and will try checking back with you later. (((Hugs))).

Girls I have to share this with you lol.

Gorgeous Missy!

@missy Herons! The last time I have seen one in the flesh must have been the summer of 2010, on a drive from Lisbon to Granada - before moving here & having no inkling that I ever will; a past life... It sure is work that gets me up in the morning!

Hello lovelies

Just popping by before we leave :(2 All packed and ready to go, leaving for the airport later.

I hope the boys start perking up @missy, you’re doing all that’s humanly possible to make that happen.

Sorry your surgery got pushed back @Slick1, continuing to send good thoughts your way for the best possible outcome.

Hope you’re enjoying your time away @junebug17

Hope you’re managing to keep cool @marcy, now is about the time our Az friends usually head for Tahoe.

Everything crossed for your Mum @Scandinavian , wish those results would hurry up!

Hi @Tekate @Mamabean @AV_ hope all is well with you.

It’s going to be a loooooong day, see you on the other side :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

Austina, I did sleep better thanks. I need a nap already though. That weather sounds awful scary; I am glad you turned around and made it home okay. Nice to catch up with PierreBear and also to see her rings. Have a safe trip home.

Slick1, that was nice to give up your slot for a cancer patient but darn you have to wait now for your surgery. I hope the c diff is GONE. Have a blast at the beach. We did a family vacation with Marty’s family there a few summers ago. It was hot and humid but lovely there. As you said you wonder what’s worse having to stay inside because it’s winter (and snow, snow everywhere) or you need to stay inside from the high heat. At least in cold you can add more clothes.

Scandi, sorry you are still waiting for the news on your mom.

Missy, good deal Fred tolerated the IV well. I hope it helps him. Cute pictures of Fred and Tommy. I know you and Greg are doing everything you can to help them get better. Keeping you in my thoughts.
That is spot on about when the cable guy is coming by.
Nice picture of the ocean, sunrise and blue herons. Sweet.

Mamabean and AV, I hope you are doing well.

Not much going on today. Marty made us breakfast and lunch. He and his sister went to buy champagne for Friday to celebrate their parent’s 50th anniversary. We are all meeting for lunch and drinks at 4 pm. It’s hot.

Laters,
Marcy

@missy, I'm continuing to hope the kitties start feeling better soon...love their pics, they are all so sweet. Xoxox. Beautiful pics of the herons and water too, really lovely. That joke about the cable guy is hysterical!

@Scandinavian, keeping your mother in my thoughts.

@Austina, wishing you a safe journey!

@Tekate, sounds like a lovely wedding. so happy for your niece, such a beautiful pic of her and her husband. Such a pretty church. My husband really loves it here...the golf courses are definitely a part of the reason why. He's downright giddy when we have a trip planned. I did treat myself to a few new clothes and I actually found a pair of pants that fit pretty well. It's a miracle lol.

@Mamabean, I'm sorry you were put in such an uncomfortable situation. I thought the same thing as Marcy, maybe they thought you were family. It was very kind of you to help your neighbor. Thank you for the pic, you're lovely! Ugh, so sorry about the problem with the blood test, so frustrating.

@marcy, take care in that heat and have a good time with your family. Wow, such a pretty pic, beautiful scenery! Glad you slept a little better, it's hard sleeping in an unfamiliar place.

@Slick1, I'm sorry your surgery was rescheduled. I hope you can relax for the next few weeks and enjoy the rest of July with your husband.

Having a nice time here...dd and her boyfriend are here and we're heading out to dinner soon. My sister is here too, she's actually living here full-time for now until she and her dh decide their next step. Our luggage was sent back to Philadelphia instead of being held here but luckily dh warned me it might happen so I brought some extra clothes with me.

@Calliecake, I hope you're still feeling well, xoxo

Thinking of all the nirdis, take care everyone <3

@NIRDIs Hi!

@missy the glorious herons! they are lovely, great pictures. The kittens looked good and happy Missy, maybe I just want that but it did to me and that makes me very happy. Hi to Greg and Missy thank you so much for your lovely and kind words about Tara's wedding picture. She was a beautiful bride and she is happy, she's had a tough life and turned out beautifully, very proud of her.

@Mamabean wow on the hospital dress thing.. I have never heard of such a thing, bizarre, you are a good friend/neighbor Joanne.. and this blood test situation is annoying to say the least.. xo

@Austina on your way back and probably at home by now. The thing about heavy rain in Austin is flooding, all of a sudden you can drive into a creekbed and then flip over, 'turn around and don't drown' is the motto. Briefly talked to Mike today and he didn't mention rain but then again he's used to the weather there. Does PierreBear live in the Travis county area too? where did you guys eat? We are leaving for Austin on 7/24 and be there for 2 weeks then drive back here then go to the city to see Chris I'm sure and Danny and Kate and kids. Hope your flight was good. Austina, we have been watching Midsommer on Amazon for weeks now, I have to ask, is Engand really that beautiful and picturesque? the flowers are all always so beautiful in the show, do people have thatched roof homes? I have read that the English drink more coffee than tea today, so sometimes I wonder if the writers are sort of making fun of upper crust British people.. We LOVE the show!

@marcy Hot in AZ. Hope you have a wonderful time with the family and are enjoying the time with them!

@junebug17 Hey June, thank you so much for your kind words about Tara's wedding. She is a sweetheart. Glad you got a few new things June, it's always nice to have a reason to pick up a shirt or two. So your luggage went to Philly, sounds like a normal clusterf--- from the airlines, it almost acceptable. I hope you had a great time with your DD and her BF and your sister and BIL and your husband is golfing his heart out.

@Slick1 Hi thank you for the encouragement and it was great that you gave up your operating spot for a patient. and yes wedding coming up soon.. it's so exciting I tell you and stressful! ha!

@AV_ Hi!

@Scandinavian I hope your mom is feeling okay and her medical news is good news.

@Calliecake Hi Sweetie! how are you? hope all is well with you. xo

Today we hung around and walked the dog and I made scalloped potatoes which John said were fantastic and I thought sucked! he's a good hubster I'm keeping him for now.

Here's Autie this afternoon!

GM girls. It's Wednesday already. Hope everyone is doing well and having a nice week.

Dear Junie, so pleased you are enjoying everyone and that your dd and her bf are meeting you there. How wonderful your sister is living there for now. It's so nice you are surrounded by loved ones and I hope all is well with everyone. Oh no to your luggage being sent back to Philadelphia. I swear it is more the norm for service to be subpar than acceptable. It seems (to me) everything that can get messed up does. Ugh. Sorry about that but glad you have some extra clothes with you. Speaking of extra clothes I have been on quite an online shopping spree being stuck in the house most of the time for the past week and well let's just say I now have 8 new dresses. LOL. And they all fit so woohoo. Of course if I gain any weight back they might not as they *just* fit. But that would be OK with me too because that would mean I am getting back to a better weight. But in the meantime I needed clothes here that fit me as all my "skinny" dresses are back in Brooklyn. Anyway I digress. Glad you are enjoying your vacation with family and sending you lots of love and hugs sweet dear Junie.

@missy Herons! The last time I have seen one in the flesh must have been the summer of 2010, on a drive from Lisbon to Granada - before moving here & having no inkling that I ever will; a past life... It sure is work that gets me up in the morning!

So true @AV_ .We all need something that drives us to get up and move forward with each day. For me that is my love for my dh, my kitties and my sister and nieces and parents. And when we lose part of our family it's so hard but we must go on for the others sake if not ours. I also love cycling and hiking and walking on the beach and all that other stuff and hopefully soon we will be able to resume our activities. For now just concentrating on getting our kitties well. Sending you hugs AV.

@Austina welcome home. I hope you had a lovely flight and that the long trip home wasn't too exhausting. Doesn't the time go super fast when you are away? I hope despite the unpleasant visit with Shirley that you and Colin enjoyed most of the trip and are feeling well. And please hug Dottie from me. I am sure she is thrilled to have you back with her. (((Hugs))).

@Scandinavian keeping your mom in my thoughts and prayers and hope for good news very soon. XOXO.

Not much going on today. Marty made us breakfast and lunch. He and his sister went to buy champagne for Friday to celebrate their parent’s 50th anniversary. We are all meeting for lunch and drinks at 4 pm. It’s hot.

Happy 50th anniversary to Marty's parents. You had me at champagne though truth be told I prefer Moscato.:sun: I hope you enjoyed lunch and drinks with the family. Stay cool and thank you for all your lovely warm wishes dear Marcy. XOXO. Update on kitties below.

@Calliecake I trust you are feeling well and doing well and sending you good thoughts. Hope your results show no more stone. Unless they are diamonds and even then those need to be on the outside.:P2

@Slick1 how is the week going for you? Hoping you are making the most of every single day and I am keeping good thoughts for you always. Thank you for everything and I want you to know how much we all care about you. You have been through so much and you are so brave and so compassionate. And so glad life is sweet again and the darkest days are over. Sending you continued healing dust and lots of love and hugs.

@Mamabean how is your week going? How is the bling looking? You have quite the nice collection and I would love to hear how you are enjoying everything. And how are you feeling? So upset they messed up at the doctors and hope you are feeling well and doing well. Keeping you in my thoughts and sending hugs and love.

@canuk-gal hope you are enjoying a lovely week and cycling and feeling well.

Today we hung around and walked the dog and I made scalloped potatoes which John said were fantastic and I thought sucked! he's a good hubster I'm keeping him for now.

Here's Autie this afternoon!

Awww Autie is super adorable and precious and all that good stuff. Yummy little girl.:kiss2: @Tekate she really is special. Thank you for sharing her photos with us. I feel the love you have for her and the love she has for you. And yes your dh is a good hubby and I bet the scalloped potatoes you made were delicious because they were made with love.

I am so glad Tara is having her happy ending (or rather middle because she has lots of happy times to enjoy) and sorry her life up to this point was more challenging than most. What matters is she made a good life for herself despite the hurdles and she prevailed. That is everything. Life is unfair and it is heartwarming to see people overcome challenges to make life sweet again. The way it should be IMO but often it is not. Thank you for sharing her story with us and for sharing her happy wedding here. I can see why you are proud of her. (((Hugs))).

And thank you and everyone here for your kind words about the kitties. Knock wood they seem to be improving little by little and fingers crossed that continues. We gave Fred fluids yesterday and he tolerates it well. And I am getting them all to eat a bit every few hours or so. At times they only eat a bite but it is something. And I am here all day to keep feeding them a bite at a time. I feel hopeful now that they seemed to have turned a corner. But keeping cautiously optimistic and hoping this improvement continues. Tommy is probably hyperthyroid as we got the free T4 back. But it is not greatly elevated just a bit. Debbie is going to check his medical records today and we will figure out a plan. I hope that is all that is wrong with Tommy but I feel there is something else going on. Anyway one day at a time.

Tonight Greg has to travel to NY and back for an important board meeting so I will be on my own for about 6 hours with all the kitties. I have been very fortunate he has been able to work from home since all of this mess started including Francesca's diagnosis through the present. By the time he gets back I will probably be sleeping but will need to be woken up as we have to give meds and neither of us can give them meds on our own. We have been waking now before 4AM (today at 330AM) for feedings and meds so you can imagine I am falling asleep by 8 PM but wake often throughout the night. We are both pretty tired at this point and I do not love that Greg is driving back and forth this evening but he has to go to the meeting. So hoping he is wide awake and alert while driving.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and leaving you with a photo of our ferals from yesterday early evening. They love congregating in our side yard as if it is their home. And indeed it is. All furry sweet animals who need shelter and food and comfort are welcome here.
Please excuse the fuzzy photos. I had to take these through the window (and there was sun glare) because if I went outside they would have ran away. They are true ferals.

@Scandinavian the black kitty is Tux. (Not sure if he is Tux 1 or Tux 2). Tux is looking at us saying who are you and what are you doing in my house?
