Now I really did it :((

GM lovely ladies! Happy Caturday Saturday!

We went cycling yesterday and the heated vest kept me warm. Today is super windy and we are hoping to cycle but we shall see.
The autumn is speeding by (what else is new) and I can only hope winter goes as quickly lol.
My dad almost passed out yesterday and his blood pressure dropped to like 60/35. My mom called the volunteer ambulance who came and wanted to take him to the hospital after they revived him but they both refused. I swear it's exhausting and so worrisome with elderly stubborn parents. Not saying he should have gone to the hospital but we have to figure out why his BP crashed. This has happened before. Very troubling.

@mrs-b thinking of you...the holidays are practically upon us and I hope you will be surrounded by your loved ones and have a warm and beautiful holiday season. What has occurred over the past year plus has really driven home how important our loved ones are...true friends and family. XOXO

@canuk-gal I hope your weekend weather is behaving. Ours is super windy but we are planning on cycling today if possible. Have a terrific weekend XOXO

@MamaBee girrrrrl, let us both enjoy a safe and wonderful weekend. Be careful and I will do the same LOL

@Slickk happy weekend sweet friend...I hope yours is wonderful and you are enjoying your beautiful family

@marcy wow our moon is so bright..I have to take a photo but right now I am being so lazy having coffee in bed. I have to get up and pill Tommy. Earlier I gave Gracie a mild tranquilizer and I am hoping it works...she is a little monster and scratched bobby again and darn we must cut her nails. But she is super strong...I mean Greg and I together cannot even contain her to cut her nails so praying this tranquilizer works. I gave her half a pill yesterday and it did nothing. She is less than 10LBS. Damn lol. Hope you have a great weekend

@Austina good morning, enjoy a terrific weekend and hope your weather is nice

@springerspaniel OK our tree now has exactly two leaves at the top and is almost completely bare

Hello everyone else. Happy wonderful weekend. Enjoy. Be well. XOXO
Leaving you with a few photos of our day yesterday

And in honor of Caturday Saturday...Fresca and Pepsi surveying the chewy package hahaha

Somehow they know it is for them. And it is :)

Wow a little 10lb (or less) cat and we really struggled to do her front nails..and this is her on a tranquilizer!!!!!! OMG!!!! Forget the rear nails. She fought so hard and got away right after we cut her front nails. She was wrapped tightly in a towel too. Cannot make this stuff up

But thank goodness we got her front paws at least. Those do the most damage to Bobby. Who has a platelet disorder so it's dangerous for him to get cut by her as she has done before. You might or might not remember we spent four hours at the ER with Bobby over the summer when Bobby wouldn't stop bleeding after Gracie attacked him and cut his nose. It was very bad. Yesterday Gracie cut him again on the nose but didn't get as big an area as this past summer. However we put styptic pencil on the wound and it did stop bleeding this time. Really really hope there is not a next time. UGH

Hello lovelies

Oh my goodness @missy, that must’ve been quite a quite a shock for your poor parents. I’m glad they got your Dad stabilised, although it’s not an answer as to why it happened. The kitty is certainly keeping on your toes, glad Bobby wasn’t too badly hurt. It’s definitely cooling down here, it’s currently 75 deg but the pool is warm so we’ll be going in later.

I had my scan yesterday, and within an hour the results were back. I have Osteopenia but my 10 prognosis for a major hip fracture is 0.7% and the other figures are not a worry. Dr has recommended I up my calcium supplement and repeat the scan in 3 years.

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are having a great weekend :wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!

Chilly few days--or should I say seasonal. Ran around yesterday for stuff for my DS, and today we had lunch out and visited my favorite Kitchen shop. Pretty low key day.

@Austina no we haven't found a house for the DS yet. Thing is he lives DT and walks to work. So convenient. I really don't want to buy an apartment DT, we'd rather have a house or townhouse--and they aren't DT. So if we bought--he would have to commute and park. Not to appealing ATM. So we wait. Glad your results were OK and that a OTC supplement will help.

@missy what an effort for a nail trim! But worth it cuz it will protect noses. I really wish she wouldn't scratch her siblings. Sorry for your parents scare--continued worry.

@MamaBee so nice to see you here. Keep well! Sorry your new band didn't suit. I'm sure something will come your way.

@mrs-b nice to see you here also. Glad you lived through reno's...can't say I would like that! Sorry for your fall, and hope that lump resolves soon. Exciting news for your daughter! I thought she wanted to work for a publishing company as an illustrator, but teaching is a wonderful decision. Continued success to her!

@marcy phooey to the roofers. If they are not interested, they why do they say "yes" to jobs?? We have no snow here yet...hope it stays that way! LOL. But the Rockies are white! I read the hills will be opening soon--ahead of schedule. That has excited the skiers around town!

That about it . Going to read the instructions on my new cast iron pan. Been a few years since I had one.....

cheers--Sharon

GM girls and happy Sunday!!!

@Austina oooh that sounds lovely. 75 degrees is a wonderful temp and glad you are still enjoying the pool. My dad seemed good yesterday and so hopefully that will continue. I told my mom to make an appointment to see the cardiologist but she rarely listens to us. He is seeing the eye doctor this coming week as he is losing more eyesight. AMD. And not to worry too far in advance but my DNA report states I have a 100% chance of getting AMD too. Great. But in any case my poor dad needs medical intervention and at 90 every day is borrowed in his case. I think about that and get very sad. Yes he is 90 and so many don't have the opportunity to reach that age but it never seems as if it is enough time. Once we get closer to that age I realize it all goes too fast. Have a great Sunday and may your weather continue to cooperate

@canuk-gal thanks. They are doing well after that scare but it's truly one day at a time. And I am with you. Why Gracie hates Bobby will be a mystery forever because he does not antagonize her in any way. She sees him across the room and she goes to attack. Very upsetting. Last night as the princes layed in my lap she allowed me to cut the rest of her nails (rear legs) and I was in disbelief. But OK I'll take it and I know that would ever be allowed again lol. Truly no clue what happened there. Usually as soon as we take the clippers out she starts howling and she runs. She is an angel at times and a devil at other times. Crazy cat. A low key lunch and shopping on a chilly day sounds like purrrrfection :)

@Slickk hope you are having a terrific weekend

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.

We went cycling yesterday despite the very high winds (36 mph wind gusts and sustained winds of 27 mph). It was fun and a great workout too. We also ran into our human and furry friends and it was so much fun. I love our furry friends and their humans do not suck at all. LOL. Some of my favorite humans live nearby. Sweet.

GM girls and happy marvelous Monday!!!!

And a very good and happy Monday morning to our Nana @Slickk over the moon happy for you and your beautiful family dear S :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: What a gorgeous gorgeous baby.:kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Yesterday turned out to be much milder in temps and I actually took off my heated vest. Today not sure of the specifics but we are cycling.
We are over 9,400 miles and definitely the most we have cycled to this point comparing the years..that's due to the dry October and November we have had but we desperately need rain and it looks like it will be here by the end of the week so yay.

Enjoy a marvelous Monday girls...leaving you with a few photos of yesterday

Our yummy ICOTD

Love you ladies...be well. Enjoy a marvelous Monday XOXO

Many thanks @missy , @Austina and @canuk-gal for your baby well wishes. We are very excited!!! What a beautiful moment in our lives. Thank you for sharing in the joy with me! ❤️

HI:

Ok the honeymoon is over. Started snowing @0300 and is scant now....but we got quite a dump. Looked out my window this AM to see a man walking his dog slip and fall.

It isn't so cold, but enough for rain to be snow. Expected all week. Winter is here. It's pretty but I really hate snow. That said I took my spikey boots and Canada goose parka out for a walk. Can't stay inside for 6 months

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

I hope the new parents had a good first day with baby @Slickk.

Woohoo @missy, amazing mileage for the year bearing in mind everything else that’s been going on in your lives. That dog Jenny??? really loves Greg, and it looks like it’s mutual.

Snoooooooo noooooooo @canuk-gal, be careful out there, it looks lovely when it’s all crisp and clean, but you know only too well how treacherous it can be. I’d rather be frying than freezing.

Hope you’re all safe and warm @marcy.

I had my bloods taken this morning, and my cholesterol is slightly high, (family history), looks like I’m cutting back on everything that makes life worth living - kill me now  All other functions are fine.

Glorious day here, we went out for a walk this afternoon, wall to wall sunshine.

Appt with the bank tomorrow because their stupid system won’t let us do it online :eh:

Stay safe and well lovely NIRDIs. :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I enjoyed all your pictures. I do always try to remain optimistic, but how often it matches reality is another thing. Nice to pick up some winter hats. I need to get some ski pants before winter really sets in here. I am glad your heated vest is working so well. I was very cold today. I think my office is so chilly because not all of it is underground and there’s a large window and window well in the basement right under my desk. I ordered a space heater today. I sure hate to hear your dad passed out and his BP was so slow. Keeping you all in my thoughts. Sounds like Gracie is still a bit of a wild cat. Good thing she’s cute. That’s too bad she goes after Bobby. Yay for over 9,400 miles. Glad you enjoyed the full moon.

@Austina I am supposed to get a refund on the lens I returned. My new one should arrive tomorrow from another vendor. Marty still hasn’t heard from the roofers. Can you heat the pool enough in the winter to use it? You’ll miss it. I hope calcium helps your bone density. I hate to hear your test results on that. Good deal your blood work was mostly good, darn cholesterol was slightly high. Good luck with the bank tomorrow. We keep getting a note in Sharpie on packages that say we live at a different address, yet the packages are in our mailbox. WTH? It’s a rural route and they farm delivery out to private companies.

@canuk-gal that is kind of nice your DS can walk to work, but it sounds like its hard to find a place for him. Good luck with that. We haven’t paid the roofers yet and they haven’t returned Marty’s calls. Crazy. Our Rockies are getting quite a bit of snow already too. I bet they’ll be opening for skiing as well.

Congratulations @Slickk on the sweet new baby.

We are having CRAZIER than normal wind today and tonight. Not much new with me. The thrill0meter isn’t registering much. I’m working, reading and goofing off a bit. Marty has electricity in his observatory. He wired it all himself. He generally knows what he’s doing, but it does make me nervous.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls!!! Happy terrific Tuesday!!!!

@marcy as you know I am not a fan of high winds. Scary and it usually ends up taking the power out. Fingers crossed yours stays working. Glad you are getting a refund and a new lens. Darn those roofers. Yes to space heaters. I had one at work and it was a wonderful thing. I do not like being cold.

@Austina yes Jenny loves loves Greg and it is mutual. Greg is an animal person but wasn't one when I first met him as he never had pets growing up. And he was allergic. My dad said to me (when Greg and I first started dating) "Missy, you don't want to be with a man who doesn't like animals" and I said to him, "Dad, it's not that he doesn't like animals, he has no experience with animals" LOL Now look at him. He loves them more than me I think! Though he remains steadfast on not getting another for now at least. Yay for gorgeous weather and a beautiful walk. I Love the sun so much. Hope you straighten out the issues with the bank. Life is always full of chores we do not want to do. Constant. Hope it goes smoothly

@Slickk I am being objective when I say that is the most beautiful baby. Enjoy all the love and happiness. Your family deserves the best and I am so thrilled for all of you

@canuk-gal hope you are remaining comfortable temp wise and all is going well. And your DS finds a puurrfect home soon. Our cycling season is soon coming to an end as rain and cold will be arriving. But it was a great season. One of the best for us weather wise. Hope both of us have a mild winter and may snow be minimal. Though for us the prediction is quite the opposite. I am taking things one day at a time. Enjoy and be well

Hello everyone else. Hope all is well.

We reached 9,500 miles on the bike yesterday. 9501 to be exact. This is a record for November for us and it's due to the dry weather. But we need rain and hopefully it's coming tomorrow though they are predicting a half inch (I think) over two days and that brings up flooding concerns due to the ground being so dry. But fingers crossed it all works out. We are in a drought situation. California without the great weather lol. Well actually we have had pretty great weather over the past two months.

Screen Shot 2024-11-19 at 5.27.32 AM.png

Yesterday as we were cycling we ran into one of our other furry friends who lives approx 30 miles away (and human friend who actually photographed our wedding for us as our wedding gift)...this dog is a joy but he is also not well trained. So he is a jumper and he is very enthusiastic about it. He also weighs more than me so I had to hold my ground lol. Anyway we cycled to our old neighborhood (as we often do) and we always run into our friends there. Different friends at different times but it is worth the trip.

A is a very handsome boy :kiss2:

Enjoy a terrific Tuesday lovely ladies XOXOXOXO

Hi Girls! This week has been crazy! We finally
put together the chandelier here. We moved it ourselves..Shatzie orchestrated the taking off and rehanging the crystals. I packed and numbered each set of crystals..Then I washed every one of them...
IMG_7538.jpeg

I got Progressives yesterday. I felt like i was tripping on psychedelic drugs. No..I never took them! :lol-2: I got a Reclast infusion today. Tomorrow I get two crowns..No..not the sparkly kind.

Hopefully I will check out what you are all doing tomorrow! ❤️

GM girls and happy wonderful Wednesday!

@MamaBee Swoon!! GORGEOUS chandelier and you are a better woman than me lol. NO way on earth would I be cleaning those crystals. BE careful OK please

@canuk-gal good morning. We are getting rain starting later in the afternoon evening and for the rest of the week. Hopefully this will take care of the drought. Or maybe not as we have not had rain for over 6 weeks now and our reservoirs are low. Hope you are enjoying a wonderful week

@Slickk hope you are getting lot of snuggles with your grand baby and you are enjoying every moment of this truly magical time

@Austina hope your lovely weather is holding on and you are enjoying it

@marcy we have snow flurries in the forecast...I hope your snow has stopped and melted. And you are comfy cozy

Hello everyone else. We enjoyed a great cycling day yesterday..cooler but less windy, Today is cooler still and less windy and less sun unfortunately but I think we'll be OK cycling. And it might be our last cycling day of the year. Rain for the rest of the week and then hopefully I start my RT treatments. But Friday is mapping day and we shall see what the RO has to say. He is a bit unpredictable and super conservative so unsure if RT is happening this year. Hoping it is

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday lovely ladies. Be well

ICOTD..I know it looks uneven and lopsided but it was pretty even. Just looks this way ;)

May your Wednesday be filled with sweet delights XOXO

Hello lovelies

Woohoo @missy, 9500 miles, is that a record for you? My Dad always said you can’t trust someone who doesn’t like dogs  Did I ever mention that the neighbour behind us has 2 Goldies? They’re lovely. Weather yesterday was amazing, but it’s cooooool today and a bit windy.

@marcy, once the air temp drops, even though it might seem warm, it’s actually too cool to use the pool, so we’ve switched the heater off. Still not bad for the middle of November, so we’re happy we’ve had a long season of using the pool this year. I hope you’re managing to stay warm and safe, that weather of yours is crazy! Any sign of the roofers?

Oh @MamaBee, what a beautiful chandelier, it looks right at home in your new dining room, and what a labour of love to number each crystal and clean them before reassembling it. You’re getting there!

Hope you’re warm and safe too @canuk-gal and there’s not too much of the white stuff hanging around.

Hope baby and his parents are settling in to their new lives @Slickk

We got what we needed to get done yesterday, and this morning had our 6 monthly plumbing check. Off to Trivia later. We’ve been busy looking at cruises, have booked an Alaska cruise for next year, and are thinking of booking a 2026 cruise for us and our friends, some very good Black Friday deals around!

:wavey:

Unfortunately this week is rife with snow fall...and it will continue this winter. Predicted to be cold and a LOT of snow. Hour at a time. At least I didn't slip walking home from work. Potential was there!

GM girls and happy terrifically rainy Thursday from the Jersey shore!!!
Finally some rain to hopefully quiet this drought.

@Austina for November yes it is a record for us. We have cycled 10,000 miles plus a few times but that was when we were counting our cycling season from April to March. This year I changed it from January to December even though we did not cycle at all this past winter due to Greg's TKR surgery in January. But I felt Jan-Dec is more in tune to what I consider a year to be. Greg was the one who counted April to March for cycling and he is fine with my change. Sorry I made a short story long LOL but yes this is a record for us in November. I do not see how we will reach 10,000 miles before January given that 1. the weather has changed cold and wet and 2. I am planning on doing RT in December and the oncologist does not want me in temperature extremes... which will prove challenging but I will do my best. And no matter what we end up cycling for this year 2024 I am very pleased as I think we did pretty good for a collective age of 125!!!

@canuk-gal oh no to snow. I guess it is almost December so the festive holiday season is even more so with snow. That's what I am telling myself at least. We also got a forecast for a very snowy cold winter. Stay warm. Stay cozy. Stay safe...no tripping for either of us please. Enjoy. One of the benefits of snow and the colder weather that winter brings is we are forced in a way to relax. That is not something that comes easy to me lol

@marcy how's your weather? We saw seals yesterday at the national park...so beautiful. I wish I had a telephoto lens and I always think of you when I see something I wish I could photograph with more detail and close up. Hope your week is going well

@MamaBee good morning. Thinking of you my dear friend. All your homes are gorgeous

@Slickk all I can say is swooonnnnn!!!!!! More beautiful than bling or anything. :kiss2:

@Inked not sure but might go the the jewelry show this weekend...are you heading there? I would text you but it's too early in the AM

Hello everyone else. We went cycling yesterday possibly for the last time this year. It's very windy and very wet out there. We got to see seals yesterday while cycling...the weather was purrrfect for that. Not windy-the seals do not care for the wind. I will share someone else's photos of the seals and the tiny tiny photo I took with my iPhone lol

My photo

Before we saw the seals and the eagles we enjoyed ICOTD yesterday... so yummy

Screen Shot 2024-11-21 at 6.19.42 AM.png

We are planning on food shopping (Costco, WF, TJ) today and tomorrow is a busy day as I am getting my hand mapped (CT scan, MRI, X-rays) and hopefully setting the five dates for my first rounds of RT. Hopefully. The jewelry show is happening starting today and into Sunday and I am considering going. Maybe. We shall see.

Enjoy a terrific Thursday all. Be well. XOXO

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I had to open the front storm door several times today, it’s a good thing I lift weights. It required serious pushing. Our utilities are all buried so the wind shouldn’t bother them. We will find out. I do believe Greg loves animals as much as you do. Woo hoo 9501 miles. Good luck with your appointments and deciding if you start RT treatments. I hope the rain helps the drought. We are love on moisture this year too. Seals are so cute. I did get my zoom lens and took a few shots around the house. I have not ventured out in the wind yet. I’m excited, it’s not too heavy and my tiny hand fits it. And you saw an eagle too.

@MamaBee your crystal chandelier if gorgeous. I bet that was a chore to move and clean. I have a bunch of crystal prisms on my window sill in my office. I was going to hang them in all our windows, but the shades are in the way. I love seeing the prisms all over my office in the afternoon. I hope you are feeling better after your treatments and crowns.

@canuk-gal are you getting some of the river bomb - or whatever they call that? We are between two fronts and the winds are NUTS. I am sure snow is heading our way soon. Stay safe.

@Austina darn it’s too cool to use the pool this time of year, but swimming in cold water can’t be fun. The roofers finally contacted us and are planing on next Wednesday. The weather forecast looks like that might not happen. We will see. I’m sure our project is low on their priority list since it’s no where near as much as a house. Have you been on an Alaskan cruise before? I have no desire to go on one, but if I was forced to go on one, that’s what I’d pick. My parents and 6 other couples from here drove from here to there and drove the Alaskan highway. They were gone over a month, but sure loved it.

I tired my little space heater this morning. I didn’t want to turn it on until I was in the room, but it got the room to 70 in about 20-30 minutes and got it plenty warm for me in about an hour. Yay. It’s very quiet too. I didn’t even have to turn it off when I recorded audio for a video. Today was my lifting day and I THINK I figured out how to turn on that space heater. Yay.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls and happy FriYAY!
Ir's so cold here and the poor feral kitties :( They were waiting for food this AM and yesterday AM but through the rain all day yesterday I did not see them eat at their usual times (besides the morning) so I am hoping they are getting enough food. I put out so much every day more than they can eat because I do not want to risk them not getting enough. And we have not seen Sassy for a week so I fear the worst. We wanted to trap her and neuter her and see if we could domesticate her because she had gotten less skittish over the month but now she is missing :( Such is the life of a feral and I do not like it one bit

@marcy good deal on having the strength you need to do the things you want to and have to...I am weak with my hands and always have been and now as you might remember lifting weights is not the same. I have been using the wrist cuffs but man it's not the same at all and I cannot lift as heavy and it leaves big red angry marks on my wrists all day. Unsure if I will continue with the wrist cuffs. Still figuring it all out. I love space heaters and glad it is working out well for you. Sorry you are low on rain as well and we are still in a drought situation despite the rain all day yesterday. We have a long way to go as we did not have measurable rain for at least six or seven weeks here and our reservoirs are low. Thanks for your well wishes. I guess we will see today if I am going through with it. I have to get permanent tattoos on my hand to mark the areas that need treatment and I am not thrilled about that. I went all these decades without getting a tattoo and now I have to get mandatory tattoos if I go with this treatment. I am thinking after this I am getting a small tattoo of Francesca on my ankle or shoulder. If I have to get the mandatory tattoos all over my hands I might as well get the one I really want too. I was thinking about it since she died but was a bit scared to permanently mark up my body but now since I have to get tattoos anyway why not get the one I want too? It is super windy here again today...hope your wind is calmer. The wind is so noisy. Have a great friYAY !!!!

@Austina I don't remember if I shared with you that my very favorite cruise of all time (and I have gone on many cruises) was the Alaska trip. It was fantastic. 1992 and I still remember it so well. Gorgeous scenery. Everywhere. And we went hiking and it was glorious. LOVED that trip so much and maybe one day we will go back. Though I have not gone on a cruise for decades now.

@MamaBee happy FriYAY...have a great day and weekend

@Slickk hope your week was great and I know you are enjoying every moment of being a new grandma :kiss2:

@canuk-gal so NY has gotten snow! Crazy right? I mean just a few days ago we were near 70F LOL. It is now super cold and windy at the jersey shore but no snow yet....hope you are staying warm and comfy cozy

Hello everyone else. We ran lots of errands yesterday through the rain and it went fine. Got what we needed despite a power outage at WF. They have a backup generator but it didn't work throughout the whole store so refrigerated produce was spoiled but frozen veggies were not as the power stayed on in part of the store. This is one of my fears at home. That our generator might not turn on when we need it. Anyway today we are going hiking and then I have the late afternoon appointments at the oncologists hospital to do the mapping. Two different diagnostic procedures late afternoon. I am already tired thinking of my very long day and long trip to the oncologist. But one day at a time and we shall see what I decide and how it goes. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly. I have been sleeping with the hand/finger brace for the past month plus now and have to continue for approx 6 months or longer (many recommend wearing the brace forever at night to help slow the contractors)...and it has not been super easy as I cannot sleep on my side with it on my hand and sometimes I need a break from sleeping on my back. But it's OK. I hope it works to keep the fingers straight. Worth it if it does

Enjoy a terrific day lovely ladies...may your FriYAY be all YAY!!!! XOXO

Leaving you with a photo of my newest hat for the holidays...it's festive and I needed a red hat so it fits the bill and kept me drier than if I wasn't wearing hat yesterday...we don't usually use umbrellas

Happy FriYAY (((Hugs)))

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!

Not much to do during this snowfall warning...getting up to 20 cms . Suffice to say I hate it. I sound like a broken record. Cold also, I think it is -10c. Did errands yesterday knowing I'd be house bound today. The mall was very busy--as Black Friday sales have started in some shops. And people had loads of purchases!!! I am plotting my course for next Friday--my list is substantial! lol

@MamaBee I regret not taking my beautiful Schonbek chandelier when we last moved. I did buy another but loved the other one more. I saw your paper towels on the table LOL I'm going to buy you a microfibre towel for the next cleaning!!!

@missy good luck with the marking and treatments. You guys had a great cycle season. Love your hat! I have cherry red velvet gloves and love the color.

@marcy hope you are enjoying your job...I am enjoying working only one day a week.

@Austina I hope you are enjoying your mild weather--I am jealous!!!!! Too cold and snowy too soon here. How is your son? Anything new there?

I put the tree up today--love the lights! I'll decorate later maybe closer to Dec.

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

Brrrrr, sounds brutal @canuk-gal, stay safe and warm inside, best place. No change on the other front! We’re not bothering with a tree this year, I use the Royal ‘We’, as it’s me that puts the tree up and takes it down. We’re away over Christmas and again 10 days after we get back.

Glad the roofers have been in touch @marcy, fingers crossed they actually do shop up and get the job done. We went on an Alaskan cruise in 2016, and it was very stressful. Dottie was very ill, had to have her spleen out, and we considered not going, but the vet, and our friend who looked after her, said it was fine, she was recovering well. We wouldn’t have gone if she was in any further danger, and our friend, (who had 3 Spins of her own) was happy to take good care of her. She sent me updates while we were away, so I knew everything was fine.

I hope your appt went went today @missy and it gives you clarity about what you’ll do next. So many decisions to make, and wondering what’ll be for the best. It’s a bit cool today, only reached 75, which may sound warm, but it definitely feels wintry.

We spent a lot of yesterday waiting for call backs, as we’re trying a new cruise line in January, and they have some great BF deals, so we’ve booked for 2026 for us and our friends. Colin doesn’t think I’ll be able to keep it a surprise from them for long

Finally got the OK from the HOA to replace our dead tree, so we’ve got someone coming tomorrow to quote for planting it. Other than that, nothing planned for the weekend.

Have a good one :wavey:
