Unfortunately I pulled the side of my back yesterday putting away the last of the Christmas decorations...and I’m worried I won’t be able to drive there...I took Excedrin..so hope it works..I can’t take Advil...which works wonders..but I can’t take that..

I cannot complain because I only emptied the urinal thing twice. Greg is now very mobile and emptying it himself and using the bathroom most of the time and only using the urinal thing in the middle of the night. Because of his stent (due to the kidney stones) and the meds he is on for the kidney stones he is peeing every hour so that is why he needs the disposable urinal thing. But he is doing knock wood much better. XO. Any updates with the architect? How is John doing re his allergies? Just yesterday my allergies started up and I wonder if it is dust since we have been inside most of the time for the past few days. Though I have been running back and forth to the pharmacy and the supermarket. What are your plans for today? Hugs.
Greg got more pain meds and all is good. In fact, he isn't really using them round the clock anymore so even better. Fingers crossed that continues. XO.
You should see a big difference in the next week or so. Sleep is so important for him too and will aid immeasurably with the healing process.

I qualified as a nurse in 1996. Surgical nursing was always my thing and specialised in ortho and anesthetics. Unfortunately then got v ill and had to have brain surgery. (My husband always jokes it's a miracle they found a female brain
Currently not working as have a wonderful son with additional needs who I adopted 5 years ago.
. Having a kiddo with additional needs is wonderful but can also be a bit isolating at times. Finding an online community with the same interests is fantastic!

@marcy he rented it for two weeks but will probably continue renting for 6 weeks due to the compression ability the machine has and that compression function Greg should be allowed to start using in about a week I think. Greg is doing better re pain. He is still cold when using the ice machine. I am sorry that person who had the same position as Marty was let go yesterday. That is scary. Hardest job ever and you really are the bedrock of the medical community. Thank you for being in such a worthwhile field where you make a huge difference.
Greg is doing better re pain and taking less pain meds. Hope that continues. Of course when he does his exercise the pain level goes up but definitely an improvement as far as I can tell. He is sleeping OK too. Yay for that. Today the PT is coming I hope and with each day I hope Greg makes improvements and feels better.
