I will enjoy getting it shaped up though. There are so few people at work right now I feel safe going in to work. Next week the number of people there will almost double. They are cleaning frequently and masks are required if you are away from your desk. There are some gorgeous places in Montana and Wyoming. I am glad you like it here. I have not baked much but I foresee chocolate chip cookies appearing this weekend. Yes, you’ll enjoy warm weather come December. Definitely you have to check out progress on the house every day. How is John’s vision?

@Austina I remember that snow storm in Austin. My niece’s cousin lives in Austin and she posted a picture on FB about “what is that white stuff on my car?” Hot and muggy weather can sure wipe you out when exercising. Our basement is cool which is nice for lifting. Your visit with your friends sounds like a very nice time. Your cake looks delicious.

@Niffler75 your heart garnet is gorgeous. If you lived in the states I would have begged to get your contact for the EC in your picture. That sounds fun for your son to spend time with one of his teachers and they built something out of Legos.

Not much new here. I met a friend for lunch. I threw a potato in the oven to bake when I got home and went downstairs to do my lifting. Worked perfectly.

So where did I leave off the other day? Hmmm. On Tuesday we went cycling (last ride for a while) and it was fun. I think we did 60 miles and had Days Ice cream yummmmmmmm. And of course yesterday was a long day but all went well. Today is rainy and tomorrow and Saturday too so no cycling for us and next week filled with appointments and so no riding most (all?) of the week. We shall see. In the meantime we have lots to do anyway so no getting bored for us here lol. I could use some boredom! Oh forgot to share my niece graduated yesterday in the new way of the world. A car graduation. All the cars lined up and one at a time each graduate got out of the car. Surreal. I wasn't there of course but my sister shared the day with us.

I hope Greg is feeling comfortable today, and you’ve both had an easy, restful day. I’m sure you must’ve been feeling zonked from the early start, and stresses of yesterday. We had lots of rain here too this morning, but it’s dry and brighter now. Sounds like your weather is telling you to stay in and rest up! Yep, the ozone uv light does create quite a pong doesn’t it? Hopefully it does what it’s supposed to, if the worse a medicine tastes, the better it works, the light should be dynamite! Please wish Greg well from us and tell him we’re so glad that he’s home and resting.

I’m thinking of exercising outside next week @marcy, assuming it’s not raining and the internet signal is strong. I’m glad you‘re able to enjoy some of the normal things in life, and meeting a friend for lunch sounds great.

We popped out to fill up the car today, the mileage is great, we’re getting 3 months to the gallon at the moment We stopped off at the fruit and veg man on the way home and stocked up on berries, and bought a tray of cherries.

@missy sounds like Greg is doing well. Sweet. Did you get a decent night’s sleep? Thank you for the kind words. I am glad to be there whenever you need me. I appreciate your support; it means a lot to me. I’m a gem, ha ha. Good one. We NIRDI’s are precious gems for sure. I am starting me 2 days a week working at home again next week. One more day to go this week. Beautiful pictures from your ride earlier this week. Take it easy especially with all those appointments you have. A car graduation is a cool idea. Your niece looks lovely in her cap and gown. Our graduates used our local very large rodeo grounds for graduations. They all walked 6 feet apart and walked across the stage. The stands can hold over 50,000 people so families were able to spread out and watch. They ran the 3 local high schools and 3 junior high schools through last Saturday and Sunday.

@Bayek is that what your pool look like? That is great John’s vision is better as is his grumpiness. How is your shoulder doing? I’m with you; I doubt I’ll ever grow up (see how I amused myself today below).

@Austina oh no for getting lots of rain. I saw some place in the U.K. had snow. It’s catching I guess. That would be nice to exercise outside; I hope your internet works outside. It is nice to be able to do “normal” things. I think there were about a dozen more people at work today on our flour. More will be coming back next week. LOL to such great gas mileage. I am going to top off my tank this weekend. Enjoy those fresh cherries for me.

I had all my work done within 90 minutes of logging in to my PC. Since I am easily amused I started typing out those things we used to do in school that you'd have someone read out loud and of course you tricked them in to cursing, insulting themselves or saying something stupid. Then I used a snip it tool, saved them as a jpeg and emailed them to people and of course asked them to read this out loud. Marty told me I needed help. Go figure. I was amused.

4:30 pm finally rolled around and I was delighted to put my car in sports plus and race out of there. I spent about 20 minutes in line at a drive in to get a burger for supper. Lines are getting crazy here to get window food.

I got dishes done, started a batch of laundry and plan on reading tonight.

Yesterday we went to Costco after I worked out and Greg did some chores around the house and yard. I hadn't been to Costco for over a month as Greg was going for me. Then we drove (I am driving now as I really enjoy it) to Red Bank and to his urologist's office to drop off some of the kidney stone pieces to get it analyzed. Hope we can figure out how to stop Greg from getting kidney stones. The day went fast. Off to PT soon after I vacuum the house. Have a lovely morning girls. Sorry Oero isn’t too good now @Niffler75 it’s always a worry when you have a beloved pet. Yum to a nice steak this weekend, I’ve got a delivery coming next week full of lovely goodies, so we’ll have a good nosh for Colin’s birthday.

Yes we did get more rain in the early hours and throughout the morning @missy, but it did brighten up, but by then it was too late to go out as we had our weekly food delivery coming. I’m so sorry the pusskats aren’t doing well at the moment, I know it’s a huge worry for you. Good news that Greg passed the stone fragments and is up and about, and yes, it’ll be good to find out why he’s getting the darned things and what you can do to stop it happening again. I hope the PT went well this morning and you’re finding it beneficial. Colin rarely, if ever drives anymore, he likes having a chauffeuse

I read there were 2 hr queues for the drive through McDonalds the other day @marcy Personally, I can’t think of any food I’d wait that long for. Sounds like you’re too efficient getting through your work so quickly, still at least you were able to amuse yourself and others later

Glad the rain cleared up for you guys yesterday and though you had to wait for food delivery it must have been nice to see the sun. Hi to everyone else! Hope all is going well!

I had a good PT session yesterday AM. I told her I wanted more and harder exercises and she complied. I was there almost 90 minutes so the day was delayed and we didn't get to cycle til almost 11AM since I had to workout at home after PT. I am a little obsessed I guess but I need that weight bearing for my bones. Anyway, we got a full cycling day in despite the late start and of course that included ice cream haha. Though Tom said when we got there no ice cream for us since we were late.



I think he gave us more than usual and that is saying a lot cause he always gives us a good amount. @junebug17 you aren't the only one putting on a few lbs. Scratch that. I have gained, since last summer, 11 lbs! That is more than a few. And I think I am still gaining...

Happy Caturday to all! Whew it's been a busy week and hard to catch my breath. I'm soo happy it's the weekend! It's a busy day. My parents are coming for the day tomorrow. We will grill out and have a good time! The basement is still not organized. I'm doing it right and it's very slow. I went through photos and albums one evening and got rid of photos that had my ex in them. I still have more to do but it felt good to do that. I do not need anything. My dad gave me this chain when I was a teenager bc I kept breaking all the delicate chains. And I love this chain but my hair always seems to get coiled up in it. Anyhoo, I sent preraphaelite a pic txt and she said if you waive a lighter for a half second the hair will singe off. So my hubby turned on the gas stove and voila.

Happy Caturday to all! Whew it's been a busy week and hard to catch my breath. I'm soo happy it's the weekend! It's a busy day. My parents are coming for the day tomorrow. We will grill out and have a good time! The basement is still not organized. I'm doing it right and it's very slow. I went through photos and albums one evening and got rid of photos that had my ex in them. I still have more to do but it felt good to do that. I do not need anything. Oh and I also bought a light pink antique cut round tourmaline and a rectangular mint green garnet from evergreen on preloved yesterday! So it was definitely a blingtastic day!

Morning ladies!

We have been busy up and over to the house the last few days. so I am going to upload a few pix (because I am having the hardest time trying to convert my mp4 to jpeg) I am showing you all these pix as the house builds because I like opinions on what we are doing (not have to be yay! etc) ideas are always welcome and please do.. I am behind in my reading so I will do this first if y'all don't mine . Gosh I LOVE being back in Texas (not) because I get to pretend Ima southern woman (eeek) but sometimes y'all works

Just about the whole back of the house to the right is the bonus/game/bedroom room, there is outside access from that room to the patio and pool, this is so little ones (and big ones can use the bathroom and isn't my finger loverlly??




Front entrance of the house, there will be a door fairly large, was supposed to be on a pivot BUT that cost 18K and we decided uh NO! so it will be something, we haven't even looked yet because the builder wants us to go to the big builder warehouse in the sky down in Austin (I think it's Factory Builder Stores) but so far it has been closed to the public but will be opening soon, we will pick out a door and the builder will have his 'door guy/carpenter" create one cheaper than buying it.. (we hope)..



Another fine shot showing the entrance to the bathroom/bedroom and my FINGER! 16 foot ceiling in the house (does anyone think ECHO ECHO ECHO I do).. John did this because most of the houses we saw from this builder with similar concept had the windows below the back porch/patio ceiling and John wanted LIGHT since the house faces the front faces south so this made the ceiling bigger than I would have wanted, I had one house where it sounded like an echo chamber with the 2 story family room and tile floors, but I get the light thing also.

@missy Oh I am sorry that Tommy and Bobby are not doing well, my Salley isn't doing well either she can hardly get up - her arthritis is really bothering her, and it seems like she is getting scatterbrained (senile?) her eating is way off, we are slowly starting her on elder (expensive I know we all get that, our fur kids food can be very expensive).. trying to get her to eat more, she likes to walk still but is very very slow.. I believe she is 11-12 years old. I am hoping Greg is doing better today and you are and PT was good and Tommy and Bobby are improving Missy. I'm so sorry sweetie. As soon as I read your and Missy's posts from Friday I started this one so I will read more I'm sure and hopefully today's post is better. love you Missy. MISSY please don't overdo your exercising (maybe I'm jealous too? ) I so understand why you want to strengthen your bones though, I really do. @missy and @Austina I'd rather commit seppuku than drive John, he cannot get over ANY little mistake I make, I ignore his mistakes, I think it's a control issue (not of me but his inability to control the car). Jeez he get's upset if I do a left hand turn and go into the oncoming traffic lanes (of course there are no cars there BUT) Jeez Louise he went bat shit crazy last week, so AGAIN I told him I am NOT DRIVING YOU..he doesn't realize I just don't drive like he does, I have been driving since 1976 and I am a good driver but BUT but he complains, he's not always a PITA, but he grew up with a father who was like the GESTAPO and very very tight and mean and he does his best to eliminate his father in him but not in driving too much - I understand him more than he get's me.. but I think with many spouses that is the way it goes.
