Now I really did it :((

Great news @MamaBee, and believe me, it’s so much easier getting rid of stuff before you even think about moving. This is our 6th home and we got rid of mountains of things when we moved here, and I’m surprised how much stuff we’re shifting now.

Just listed other 12 things on the free site, and within minutes had people wanting most of the items. Might be worth you finding out if there’s a free site where you are, it’s so much easier than having to shift the stuff yourselves. We just leave it on the drive, and people come by at an appointed time and pick it up.

That‘s a great idea @Austina! I’ll have to check out whether we have something like that here. I have so much it’s mind boggling!

Good morning girls...I’m so happy to be able to be here this morning. I will need to read every day to catch up! I couldn’t keep anything in my memory because of worrying about my mom and my echocardiogram which was coming up.
My heart has really improved to the normal range..I have an issue but nothing major now. I will talk to my cardiologist when I go on Friday. Overall it dramatically improved...I attribute it to a cocktail of supplements I’ve been taking religiously for five years.

My mom is doing well at the new home. They really do everything to try to make her happy and me informed. She developed a new problem. Her legs are leaking fluid. It’s crazy. I’ve never heard of anything like that. The doctor is trying to stop it..Her skin is basically too thin and can’t hold in her lymph fluid...OMG I hope it stops..I feel so bad for her. Other than that she’s doing well..TG

I hope everyone has been well and happy. I don’t know whether to start at the recent ones or go back fifty pages..lol

I’m going to start purging stuff in my house. I need to work off all this energy that I have now. We won’t be moving any time soon but it will take time to get everything the way it needs to be to ready it for sale...My husband said he will retire the end of this year...The house needs a new roof, painting, etc...We’ve also saved so much stuff from the many moves that we had throughout the years. When it comes time to sell...I don’t want to move stuff that we don’t use....I’m a rug hoarder..I get bored with my rugs so change them out..I could open a rug showroom. Unfortunately I can’t move them myself so I’ll have to wait until my hubby retires to help me get rid of them. @Austina you have motivated me to donate more than clothes..
I also want to thin out my jewelry that I don’t wear..I hate selling so I may do it with my local hospital thrift store. All the proceeds go to the hospital but we get a split..

Have a great day!

Great news, you must feel so much lighter. I am thrilled to hear your heart is good and you're okay, Mamabee.
I am sorry to hear about your Mother's legs. Hopefully that will be able to be treated.

Hi ladies -

I definitely owe you all a reasonable update, and I'm sorry it's been so slow in coming.

My Crohn's has been not good, tho the Humira *does* seem to have helped somewhat. I'm just exhausted all the time, and my heart hasn't been performing as it should as a result. My afib has picked up again slightly, which I hate, with lots of small flutters, tho nothing big. Just tired, tired, tired.

I'm having trouble exercising for any significant amount of time; 15 minutes is about as much as I can handle, which is a BIG drop from 3 months ago. I'm going back into hospital in mid May to see if I have anything sinister going on in my gut, and I'm somewhat concerned - tho mores about my heart.

My motivation for jewelry is at an all time low, and I'm just not very chatty these days. I have a couple of new pieces coming this month, and will post them when they get here, but I'll be largely MIA I think till then. I pop on from time to time and read a little, but mostly I'm sleeping a huge amount. I *am* enjoying the lovely spring weather, and things here are slowly turning green, which is wonderful to see.

I miss you all and am sorry I'm not up to much more right now. Love to each and every one of you. oxo. <3

mrs-b, excuse me if this is common knowledge but I'm new to most of this thread. Since you - as do I - have Afib, I'm sure you're on a blood-thinner. Have your drs. tried different brands and different strengths? And, how often does your Hematologist check your Hemocrit levels? Do you have sleep apnea? Sorry if I'm too intrusive.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy yay for another day of cycling. Those are some awesome clouds! Great picture of the planets and the Moon yesterday; I was able to see Jupiter and the Moon but it was pretty hazy when I looked. Glad it was clear for your friend. That sunrise picture is amazing! Very pretty. Your pictures made my day. Work was busy today with more fallout from the mistake earlier this week but I think in the long run it will be positive progress.

@MMtwo that accelerator is quite responsive. I’m looking forward to heading out in the morning. It’s my carrot for going to work - driving my car. I did not get a new iPad; I am sure I will sometime soon though. Sorry the new job hasn’t become routine for you yet; sometimes it seems like things sunk in more than we think. I hope it starts to be easier for you soon. That’s great your son is doing well and you had a lovely visit with your mom and sister for Easter.

@MamaaBee I am delighted to hear your heart is doing better. Good luck at the cardiologist. What a relief your mom is in good hands at the new home. I hope they can stop her leaking; the things our bodies can come up with. Now is as good a time as any to start decluttering. @Austina is certainly doing a great job of cleaning out things. Good luck with that project.

@Austina I’m with you on getting rid of things before moving; we moved too much here and we threw out or gave away a ton of things. That’s great you can give away so many things on the free site.

@mrs-b big hugs coming your way. I am sorry you haven’t been doing good. Tap some naps and enjoy the lovely weather. Mega dust coming your way.

Another busy day at work. I did take an hour lunch and played cards online with a friend of mine. We ordered in lunch through Door Dash. I brewed up a batch of cookies since I promised our salesman and the financial guy some cookies. We are running down Saturday and then Marty can take me on to Denver to drop off my halo ring to be fixed. I can’t get my tires mounted on Saturday so I made an appointment for next Friday. Sadly there are days of snow in the forecast. I may find out how good or bad those tires are in snow. I’d chicken out if it’s too bad.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls! Happy FriYAY.

First of all big hugs @mrs-b and keeping you in my thoughts and sending continued healing vibes and gentle hugs your way. From one AG to another...(((HUGS))) to you.

@marcy I am glad you enjoyed the photos I thought you would so I shared. Despite work fallout I am glad you think it is going in the right direction. It's the best you can do and I have no doubt you will make it a success. Yumm to cookies and yay for online cards with a friend. Sorry the tires are delayed til next week but I am glad you are taking care of that. And enjoy your visit to Denver to fix the ring and perhaps shop for some more eye candy? Haha just saying. And no to more snow if I get a vote. We are getting rain through the weekend but cannot complain as our weather has been excellent this entire week and last weekend too. Big hugs.

@Austina amazing you gave away so much stuff. That's the way to declutter in anticipation of a big move. Glad Shirley is doing well. XOXO.

@MamaBee so relieved for all the good things finally coming your way. Hugs and may all continue going well.

@bling_dream19 happy FriYAY and have a wonderful weekend sweet friend. XOXO.

@MMtwo so happy for you and the visit you had with your mom and sister at Easter. And glad your DS is doing well. I am sorry work has been challenging as of late and yes I get it....you and I are the same age so I understand about the generational gap with younger coworkers. I have no doubt you will charm and impress them and soon age won't matter. Big hugs and thank you for enjoying my photos. I share with all of you lovely ladies in mind. XOXO.

@Polabowla continued well wishes and hugs. Hope all is going smoothly for you and your family.

@canuk-gal thinking of you and hugs.

@Slick1 hope you are looking forward to a lovely weekend despite the rain in our forecast and keeping good thoughts for you and your family. XOXO.

@sarahb I am always happy when you are here and I am sending you big hugs and lots of well wishes.

Hi to everyone else and hope all is well.
Yesterday was the same for us. Cycling by the sea and lovely weather. Today is cloudy but hopefully no rain yet. The weekend is all rain. Leaving you with a photo of our cycling adventures yesterday. Nothing too exciting or new but just a visual to liven my post up a bit. :)

Have a Friday full of YAY. XOXO.

HI:

@missy I LOL at your line..."hope you have a Friday full of YAY! " I just might use that sometime! Your pictures, as always, are lovely. Today is CHILLY and overcast...I'll see abut a ride in my parka. LOL. The weather is pretty gloomy for the next week..I hope April showers do bring May flowers......

@marcy too bad about your ring needing repair--but these things do happen on occasion. It is actually nice to have jewellery to wear!

@Austina It is wonderful that you are giving your things away. So much appreciation all 'round--you don't have to move it, and others benefit from your generosity. My DH has a difficult time parting with his stuff--he thinks we need to keep everything, forever. Even with our last move 4 years ago , I was obligated to pack stuff that still, remains, in unopened containers today.

@MMtwo Your new job jitters will quickly pass. Sometimes learning curves are steep--but I have no doubt you are almost there. As for the generational gap, soon you'll be a colleague and a mentor. Win win.

My Mom has her specialist appt today--I haven't heard from my sister yet. Thankfully she had no issues from her 2nd Pfizer. Speaking of vaccine--our cases here are rising due to VOC. I am very sad b/c this seemingly never ending. But I cannot lose hope.

@mrs-b I continue to pray for your recovery. Healing vibes across the miles.

@junebug17 so nice to hear from you! Glad you and yours are in health!

@MamaBee Sending healing vibes across the miles to your Mother also. Good luck with your Spring cleaning! I need to get my carpets and rugs cleaned.

cheers--Sharon

NIRDI shout out!

Hello lovelies

I feel strangely sad today about the death of Prince Phillip, I suppose because it stirs up thoughts about being in that situation.

We got an early start and went to the dump, great decision as there was only 1 car in front of us, so a quick in and out. We decided to do a good deed for someone who wanted one of our items. I offered to deliver it to her thinking she lived close by, but no, of course she didn’t  She collected a couple of things last week and had got lost, and when I saw her turn up she was rather elderly and had come with one of those shopping carts on wheels. Anyway, we eventually found her place, but couldn’t park close by, so Colin took it and dropped it off. We sorted out lots of things that the man who collects for the local in need to pick up tomorrow, and then I sanitised some of Adam’s toys.

I’m so sorry to hear that things aren’t much better for you @mrs-b, and that you’re going to need a hospital stay to see what’s going on. Take good care.

TGIF @marcy, and the weekend to look forward to after a hard work week. I hope you can get your ring fixed easily and enjoy a peaceful weekend.

Oh no that you’re experiencing another spike, we had that here at the start of the year, but another lockdown and the vaccination programme have hopefully sorted that out. Good news that your Mum didn’t experience any major reaction to her 2nd jab @canuk-gal, and I hope her hospital appt went well today.

What glorious scenery @missy, and great that you can get out and enjoy it while the sun shines. I think we’re in for a cold weekend, so will get on with more indoor decluttering. Boo to a wet weekend for you, hopefully won’t be too bad and you might catch a break and get out.

I can’t believe we’re through another week already, time is flying by!

Have a great weekend lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

I received my enamel charm bracelet today. Here's the link to it in SMTB for those interested.

As we often say - one NIRDI gets bling - we all get bling!

:))

Happy Caturday Saturday girls!

@canuk-gal feel free to use that phrase. It always makes me smile too. Have a wonderful weekend filled with fun and sun and enjoy. Our weather has turned gloomy so no cycling for us for a while. I hope you can enjoy a ride or two this weekend for us.

@mrs-b oooh as soon as I get my breakfast I am off to check out Joy...may she bring you blingy Joy :) You deserve that and more. One of my other favorite PSers also has a Joy. :kiss2:

@Austina it's good you took care of getting rid of all that stuff and did a good deed also. No good deed goes unpunished but it's OK. It all works out in the end and IMO it is never a bad thing to do a a good thing. Speaking of good our good weather is over. It was nice while it lasted. I too feel sad about Prince Philip. I cannot imagine what the Queen is feeling and how deep her grief must be. :(

@marcy it's the weekend and hope work does not interrupt. Have fun.

@bling_dream19 enjoy a wonderful weekend dear girl.

@Slick1 hope you make the most of your weekend and hope all is going well.

@MamaBee hey there, hope you had a good rest of your week and are onto a wonderful weekend.

@MMtwo how are you doing and how is work going? Thinking of you and hoping all is going smoothly.

Hey to everyone else.
Greg and I decided to walk yesterday instead of cycle as it was chillier and cloudier than anticipated and walking was perfect for that weather. And then we picked up our handguns. I will include a photo but in a spoiler for those who might be sensitive about guns. We only got them for home protection and perhaps skeet shooting but ammo is super expensive at $1.50 a bullet so I do not anticipate much skeet/tagrget shooting in our future....we shall see.

Have a wonderful day lovely ladies and big hugs.

Warning...do not click upon the below photo if you are sensitive to guns. PLEASE do NOT click if you are sensitive. The guns are unloaded but still do not click onto the photo if you are at all opposed to owning guns. Thanks. ::)

In honor of Caturday Saturday I am leaving you with a photo of Gracie as we were chilling on the couch early yesterday evening. It isn't easy getting a kitty on my lap selfie without disturbing the princess lol. Gracie is full of catitude, that is for sure.

Hope everyone has a purrrrrrfect Caturday Saturday. XOXO.

Yay it's the weekend and happy Caturday! Gracie is full of catitude!
And I'm loving your shark leggings as always Missy! Lots to do this weekend. Nirdi shout and love and hugs to all!

mrs-b, excuse me if this is common knowledge but I'm new to most of this thread. Since you - as do I - have Afib, I'm sure you're on a blood-thinner. Have your drs. tried different brands and different strengths? And, how often does your Hematologist check your Hemocrit levels? Do you have sleep apnea? Sorry if I'm too intrusive.

Hi Tarsha -

I've been on Pradaxa, Xarelto and am now on Eliquis - 5mg twice a day. They've never tried different doses - just average on all. I'm also on aspirin, and aspirin and Xarelto gave me bruises, whereas aspirin and Eliquis don't, for which I'm grateful, as it speaks to internal bleeding, which is a risk with blood thinners.

I don't see a hematologist, tho my cardiologist does full bloods every 6 months and I believe all is well.

No sleep apnea of the normal kind, tho I do have mild, occasional apnea when I sleep on my left hand side. This is due to a deviation in my spine - which is also what causes my afib. I hurt my back very badly when I was young, and my spine is not entirely straight, resulting in pressure on the pulmonary nerves that run to my heart and ditto my vagus nerve. Consequently, my afib and apnea are both postural (when I sleep on my left side). On the rare occasions I get apnea, it's not due to throat blockage. Rather, the electrical impulse that should run to my diaphragm telling it to move doesn't get through, and my diaphragm simply lies there. Consequently, c-pap machines wouldn't work on me and nobody has ever suggested one. This doesn't happen often, tho, and resolves itself (I roll over!) so it doesn't really cause me any issues.

My goodness, I never knew aFib could be caused in such a manner! I started out on Warfarin/Coumadin (before the newer drugs came out) and I could just never get into balance on it - I would even weigh any greens in salads and my levels still vacillated several points over 2-3 days. My poor cardiologist got me my own test machine and gave me his private phone number when we went overseas for vacation - I called him about every 3 days for him to make adjustments in my Warfarin need level. I - for reasons unknown - have this weird cyclic pattern of about 2 years of being polycythemic and needing phlebotomy draws, slowly becoming 'normal' for about 2 yrs., then slowing going into anemia territory and needing transfusions, then back to normal-poly-etc. We tried Pradaxa, but it didn't seem to work like he wanted, so when Xarelto came out, he put me on it, but I've never taken less than 15 mg/once per day; now on 20. I'm 73 and mother died of massive cerebral hemorrhage and father of a stroke, so I really make sure I take my Xarelto (the first time I saw a Xarelto pill I thought that it looked like my cat's kibble ...lol) You have my prayers and good thoughts; you certainly have had a lot to bear, but you sound like a very strong individual! Please always take care of yourself.

HI:

Gloomy weather day--looks like rain. I did some running around and got my fav take out (Vietnamese). No cycling today--but did walk yesterday in the sunshine. Took some ring pictures!!! LOL I am laugh a minute.

I will rewatch Godzilla vs Kong as I love Godzilla! Have been watching old Godzilla movies this weekend.

@missy--I am not good at skeet . So much more difficult than it looks!

NIRDI shout out!!!

cheers--Sharon

Hi to all i think i have finally turned the corner from covid/sinus infection so i can finally read & see how you all are.

@mrs-b i am saddened to hear how sick you are. Dust for better health

@MamaBee what a relief that your mother is adjusting well! Did they figure out the fluid leak?

@missy Your kittens are just so cute!

The sun is out today so the kids got to play outside which was good for everyone!

Thank you @MMtwo ! Good to be back
How are you doing

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I always love looking at photos - I guess that is why I stayed working at the photo shop so long. It didn’t pay well but I enjoyed my work there. As for my current job and work fallout - my boss has been looking for a way to get all of us back in the office every day so yes he took this week’s mistake as a way to do that. I honestly have been considering going back in every day anyway since we are so busy but now I am anyway. I did see something in the jewelry store that caught my eye; a gorgeous fire sapphire a (red/orange color) but I have probably spent enough this week so I just said to myself “ooh” and moved along. Thanks for voting for no more snow; I hope that helps. Enjoy the rain but only enough rain so it doesn’t interfere with cycling. That is awesome “Have a Friday full of YAY”. I love the picture of you with the guns. You know Wyoming has the most guns per person - we win that contest every time.

@canuk-gal sorry for the gloomy weather this week; we are expecting rain and snow here all week. It was nice today though. It is nice to have jewelry to wear. I think most of us NIRDI’s are covered there. Hoping your mom’s appointment went well. Thanks for reminding me again to watch the Godzilla movie.

@Austina I was saddened too to hear about Prince Phillip. I so admire Queen Elizabeth and know this has to be a terrible loss for her. You timed it just right for the dump. Sweet. That was nice of you to drop off one of your items to that lady. Nice to be giving things to the local in need place. We donated a lot of my parents things to our local Habitat for Humanity. Sadly I had to do some work last night. I see some things that need fixed starting for Wednesday but it can wait. I am ignoring my “alerts” today.

@mrs-b yay for receiving your beautiful charm bracelet. You will love it!

@bling_dream19 how are you doing? I hope you are having a good weekend.

@Polabowla yay for feeling like you’ve turned the corner. Yay for having a sunny day.

@MMtwo how are you doing?

We’ve got 4 out of 5 our of deck furniture. Woo hoo! Hopefully it’s warm enough in the morning to go dry my hair in the sun. Get some “blonde” action going there.

We headed to the Porsche Dealer again this morning. Our salesman got us some rubber mats for the car so we picked them up. I took him and another guy there a baggie of chocolate chip cookies. They were both excited. We are going to keep my current tires (after they exchange them) so when we eventually trade the car we’ll have like new tires on it. Ha! Good idea.
I also get my rings turned in for repair today. They have curbside service to turn in repairs. It was about 20 minutes before someone came out but it was actually pretty quick. You text “curbside” and the auto response is to pick a number for what you want. Once I said repair they ask what needs repaired and if it’s their product. Then they ask for a picture. I also said I have my certificates so they came and got my rings and certificates; came back about 5 minutes later and they are going to put a new shank on that one ring they sized to big so I can’t complain about that kind of service.

After dropping off the jewelry we went out for dinner. Marty usually orders 2 steaks so today we both ordered the large filet; he likes his rare and I like medium so that worked great - I cut the middle out of mine to give him and I ate the 2 sides. We also split a piece of carrot cake for dessert. I swear they brought us 1/6 of a cake. We couldn’t finish it but we tried.

Marty really hated driving me around today (NOT). There was so much traffic around Denver I was delighted he was driving.

Since I’m back in the office all the time I’ll have to be more diligent about getting my weekend chores done. Probably time to buy some new clothes too; my clothes are rather baggy which isn’t bad but don’t feel like going clothes shopping. Jewelry and car shopping is more fun.

Take care.
Marcy

Cookies & a porsche- perfect combo @marcy !
Are you nervous going back to the office again?

GM lovely ladies and happy (rainy here) Sunday!

@marcy I am sorry the boss is looking for ways to get you back every day but I am glad you are ready and willing to do that. WFH was nice for as long as it lasted. Wish it could be like that always. I am hoping Greg can WFH until he is ready to retire. You are a wonderful photographer and I always love the photos you share. Yes Wyoming has many more guns than our state(s). It is challenging getting permits here and I credit Greg with doing all the necessary paperwork etc to get us the permits we needed. Good for you having self control re the bling. Those Porsche dealers are super lucky they got Marcy cookies. Yummm. And sweet getting new mats for the car. Yay for getting the ring repaired and enjoying dinner out. And nice to have the problem of needing new clothes because your old ones are baggy. LOL I have the opposite problem now. The BHRT plus eating more protein and calories has really added the lbs on but luckily I did order new dresses that arrived the other day and they fit. Sweet. Enjoy your day off today and may it be sweet and relaxing without too many chores. XOXO.

@canuk-gal gloomy weather for us and no cycling here. Looks like the weather continues to be dreary all through the week too. Nice you enjoyed your favorite take out Vietnamese food. Yummy. And did you say bling photos? Oh you know we love bling photos. Please share if you are so inclined. Hope you have a fun Sunday and sending you lots of hugs.

@Polabowla good morning, nice to see you here. I am so happy you are feeling better and hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Big hugs.

@Austina hope the weekend is going well and all is coming together. You are doing a smash up job at organizing and decluttering and I am in awe. There is no better way to spend a pandemic than how you are spending it IMO. And you are giving me motivation to start decluttering my closets and reorganizing and giving what I don't use away to charities. Thanks for the push I needed. XOXO.

@mrs-b Joy is a delight. She is whimsical and full of good cheer. One cannot help but smile when one sees her. Nicely done. She is a beauty. Like you. I am so sorry for all the health challenges and I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and send healing vibes your way. ((((Hugs)))).

@sarahb hope you are having an enjoyable weekend and you and your family are well. Big hugs.

@springerspaniel I cannot wait to see my nieces and give them the dolphins earrings and necklace. How are you and your dh and the furbabies doing? Hope all is well. Big hugs.

@bling_dream19 hope the weekend is going well and you are having fun. I thought of you when my new dresses arrived. They are fun and sassy and whimsical. Very 50s retro. I think you will love them and would look great in them. We have a similar style in dresses I think. Anyway hugs to you and your sweet hubby. XOXO.

@Slick1 hope you had fun yesterday and have a good day today. Hugs and thinking of you and your FIL.

@MamaBee GM Joanne, hope you are feeling calm and happy and all continues to go smoothly. Hugs.

Hi to everyone else.

We had a wonderful hike yesterday and saw so many deer and seals too. It was lovely.
Today is a rain event and continues through much of the week. We are staying in and playing board games today I think after I do weights and my workout. Excitement never ends haha. Tomorrow I have a mammogram/ultrasound in the city so not looking forward to that at all. Especially since I am now on BHRT which might increase my risk for problems and well let's just say it has increased my boob size too and they are a bit tender. And that isn't a good sign from what I understand. But we shall see. Hopefully all will remain OK there and I can continue with the BHRT treatment.

Leaving you with a couple photos of our hike yesterday.

Have a wonderful Sunday filled with fun and (if not literal figurative at least) sun.
(((((Hugs))))).

Hello lovelies

We decided to have a lazy day yesterday, just a little bit of decluttering, mainly Adam’s toys, which were soaked in solution then zapped with the UV light, so are totally sanitized now.

Colin finished delcuttering the garage today, and I posted a couple of other things which have now been put by for their new owners.

Glad you managed to get out yesterday @missy, it was really cold here, so we decided to give it a miss. After I had my recent mammogram, my boobs hurt for a bit, I hate getting squished, but it’s a necessary evil, and thankfully everything was fine. Good luck for tomorrow. I hope you don’t mind me saying, but you look really great with the few extra lbs, not that you don’t always look lovely! Gracie has a great set of whiskers!

Woohoo @marcy, you’re the only person I know who’s lost weight during lockdown, I wish I could say my clothes were baggy, but sadly not! Glad you got your ring sorted out and got new mats for the car and the tyres switched. Good idea to keep the old ones, you never know when they might come in handy.

I saw Joy on IG @mrs-b, I’m not normally a fan of traditional charm bracelets, but I love the makeover. Does each charm have a story?

Ugh to the dreary weather @canuk-gal, and  To the Godzilla fest.

Big love and hugs to all the lovely NIRDIs, hope you’re having a good weekend. :wavey:

@Austina can you come declutter my house ;)

@missy good luck with the mammogram

Kids decided to bake cookies today

HI:

Out for a brisk walk! Had my parka on of course. My Mom called last night--they got heavy wet snow--glad it missed us! She told me the Surgeon was able to get a biopsy in his office--so now the wait for results. Always the most difficult part.

I've got to be more careful--I always comment on people cute pooches; but today I said 'Hi Cutie" instead of "hi cute pooch" and I think the man thought I was calling him cutie!! I corrected myself of course but what an embarrassment. Maybe it wasn't to innocent as he was a cutie!!!:kiss2::lol-2: Either I made his day or he thought I was a lunatic!!!!!! Or both.

I think I'll deep fry some chicken for supper. Try and stay out of trouble.

NIRDI shout out!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I guess overall working in the office is better but the WFH option was really nice. I did get tired of being home so much. Both have pros and cons. I hope Greg can work where he wants until he retires. From what I remember your doctors wanted you to put on a few pounds; hopefully that helps you feel better. I have the opposite problem - I should lose pounds. Fun to get new dresses! Love the pictures of you and the deer. We saw some bison coming home this afternoon but zipping down the highway prevented me from snapping a picture. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

@Austina so the garage is cleaned out? Ours would take Marty weeks! I am sure someone will appreciate the toys. I have noticed quite a few people at work did put on some pounds during our WAH. I honestly snack less at home but I am trying to do better. I am getting the tires switched out on this coming Friday (if weather permits). Yay! We have 490 miles on the new car already. Wow!

@Polabowla mmm cookies - what kind did the kids bake?

@canuk-gal nice for going for a walk in the cold weather. Mega dust for your mom’s test results. Too funny about “cutie” hopefully the guy wouldn’t be upset about it, surely he realizes you were talking to his pooch. Mmm fried chicken.

I lifted first then this morning then went grocery shopping in a store. I bought Marty a discounted dark chocolate Easter bunny. Better late than never.

We met my sister and BIL for dinner half way between where we live. My nephew drove them so was nice. My BIL said he was feeling better; not as tired and was excited to be out and about for the day.

Take care.
Marcy

@missy yay for new dresses I can't wait to see them! And yes we've got the same excellent taste in dresses!

Hello lovelies

We woke up to snow today :-o

Fortunately it’s gone now, but it’s cold.

Good luck with the mammo today @missy, hope it all goes well.

Great news that your BIL is feeling better @marcy and enjoying being out. We allowed out from today, but knowing that it’ll been chaos, we’re staying in. We did clear out some stuff from the garage last year, so now we’ve got rid of more junk, it’s not been too big a job.

Yum to cookies @Polabowla - I think I’ve had enough decluttering for a while, so I’ll pass on your kind offer to come and help you

 Colin’s just had the text to book his 2nd jab, he’s going on Saturday, so can’t be too long for me.

Have a great Monday lovely NIRDIS :wavey:

Just got home and I wanted to let you know all went smoothly and my mammo and ultrasound are negative. Off for a walk now. See you ladies later. XOXO.

@marcy so glad your BIL is doing better. And glad you enjoyed dinner with them. My sister and I were trying to figure out a good time to get together and my nieces are so busy with school we probably won't see them til beginning of July. Ooh bison. They are majestic. Yes WFH has pros and cons and I can imagine being at the office might be a nice change for you. Thanks for all your good wishes. Much appreciated. Appointment went well and traffic was light. Yum to dark chocolate easter bunny. For sure better late than never haha. Good for you lifting. Tomorrow is my turn :)

@Austina wow to snow. Yay for Colin getting his second dose. You are sure to be soon. Thank you so much for the kind words. They mean a lot to me. I am glad to be gaining weight for the most part but a small part of me is like uh oh what if I cannot stop. LOL I know it's not productive thinking and I know it's healthier for me to be heavier than I was. Your sincere comments are (always) appreciated. OH and the mammo hurt today worse than it ever has. I mean really painful and I am generally tolerant of the mammo but today I wanted to cry uncle. I wonder if the hormones made me more sensitive?

@Polabowla yummm did you say cookies? Gracie's first name was Cookie given to her by the rescue group. Sometimes I think we should have kept that name as she is one tough cookie.
Hope your Monday is going well.

@canuk-gal hahaha yes I can see where that might be an issue. I always comment on people's dogs too and come to think of it I can see where it can easily be misconstrued. But I generally say cute doggo. I got the word doggo from Greg as he uses that word when he greets dogs when we are out. Glad the wet snow missed you and good luck on your mom's biopsy. We are still waiting for Greg's latest biopsy results of a potential melanoma. The doctor said it would be in last week but nope. Last week came and went. You are so right. Waiting is hard. Hoping for negative results for your mom and Greg. Fingers and toes crossed.

@bling_dream19 your wish is my command :)

Here are the latest batch of dresses that arrived a few days ago.

This one is my favorite and when I ordered it I was like I am not sure about the color but I love it in person and it's so retro with that full skirt. It's a fun dress.

This one too is fun and I wasn't sure about this color either but in person I love it.

An easy breezy lightweight dress for hot weather.

This one needs a bit of adjustment on the straps. They need to be shortened but Greg can handle that. It's nice to have my own personal tailor :)

This one I liked so much I just ordered another in a different color.

That's my latest haul.

We had a good walk after we got home from the mammo/ultrasound in the city and now we are just relaxing and ready for an early dinner because we were out of bed by 4AM today. I woke at 3AM and that was it for me. It was torrential downpours at 3AM which is what woke me. I mean the rain was coming down stronger than I can ever remember and I was just holding my breath hoping we wouldn't lose power. Wow. That was some rainstorm. Anyway hope everyone is enjoying a lovely day and has a sweet evening. XOXO.

Leaving you with a photo of Zircon dangles I am considering. They are OECs.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated as I am not a colored gem expert. Thanks.

I have bought from this vendor before and she is lovely. She said zircons do not photograph well because they are doubly refractive. I am just trying to decide yes or no. :)
