Now I really did it :((

HI:

@marcy broken teeth seem to be contagious....my sister just told me she needs a crown!

cheers--Sharon

@canuk-gal I hope it’s not catching. Tell you sister I feel her pain! Hope see gets it fixed soon.

Here are some flowers from tonight and a lady bug we have on a pillar on the porch.

GM girls! Happy Tuesday.

@rainwood thank you. I couldn't figure out how to do it automatically though...I am technologically challenged. Oh and I woke at 1:30 AM EST today. Our schedules couldn't be more opposite though now our time awake does overlap  I have to laugh or I might never stop crying. :boohoo:

@marcy gorgeous photos. How is Marty feeling? Is he all better? I am glad you got an appointment yesterday at the dentist and fingers crossed you need "only" a crown and not a root canal. Luckily mashed potatoes and ice cream are delish and not too much of a sacrifice. I could live on that for a long while but of course it wouldn't provide the necessary nutrients we need on a daily basis so hopefully you are back to more nutritious food very soon. And I agree with you. Sometimes manual is the easiest way to go. At least for this tech challenged girl. :wink2:

@Austina we are getting a heat wave too. The crazy weather never ends. Hope the gardener did a good job yesterday and you are pleased. I am glad Colin's birthday breakfast went well and Sue and Rob joined you. Lovely. And that you had a good chat with Adam and Kim. Glad you got all the cleaning done you needed to before the weekend. Though, occasionally I ask myself (just like HRH Francesca used to ask us)...what is a weekend?

@canuk-gal aww your poor sister. Hope her new crown procedure goes well. How is your week going? We have a heat wave happening and thunderstorms all week. Though yesterday not one storm happened or raindrop fell despite the forecast. Again, if we did our jobs the way meteorologists did their jobs I can only shudder at what might happen. Hope you are having a good week.

@mrs-b two more days for your visit. Keeping you in my thoughts!

Hi to everyone else. Yesterday we walked around Red Bank, a cute little town near us and I found the sweetest vintage jean jacket. Score. This morning we are heading to Lab Corp so I can get some lab work done and then hopefully (I haven't checked the weather report yet) we can get some cycling in but I am not sure as it looks wet out there. But it is also pitch black so I cannot see what is happening at the moment.

Enjoy a wonderful day girls and big hugs.

Leaving you with a throwback Tuesday photo. Here I am with Oscar. Our second dog. He adopted us as he was the neighborhood stray. You don't see many stray dogs around but Oscar was and he went from home to home where people fed him and tried to keep him but he never wanted to stay in one place. However, one day, he just decided to stay with us. He chose us over many other families who wanted to adopt him. We loved him so. Anyway, here's Oscar.

Hi NIRDI’s.

@missy Marty is fine other than sneezing and coughing which is probably allergies. Pollen and smoke is high right now. He is going to the doctor in a few weeks for his shoulder. I’m guessing he will ha e surgery on it. Your walk around town sounds nice and even better you found a great jean jacket! I love the story about Oscar, glad he picked you and Greg! I hope your tests were quick and you get to ride some today.

I called the periodontist and they can see me for an evaluation on November 2nd. Sigh. I let my dentist know hoping they could call and get the appointment bumped up but they just said well they are busy.

I’m bored and cold at work. I have tomorrow off though. Woo Hoo!!!!

take care
Marcy

Hello lovelies

Awww Oscar looks like he was a real sweetheart @missy. Dogs just know good people that’s why he chose you. Hope all your tests went well today, and you get the results soon. Good score on the jacket :appl: You always find such great stuff.

Wow, great photos @marcy, so clear and the colour are really vibrant. Love the ladybird on the wall, I’ve got pigs in my garden  Yay to having the day off tomorrow, do you have any plans? Oy to Marty’s shoulder probably needing surgery, that’s going to put a major crimp in his lifting. Dental appts here are pretty difficult to get hold of too, backlog from the lockdown.

Hope your sister gets her tooth sorted out quickly @canuk-gal.

We went out for lunch today, it was pretty quiet, just us eating, and another couple having a drink. We spoke to the land lady who said things are really tough ATM and they’re carrying a lot of debt from the lockdowns, so really hoping next week when all restrictions are lifted, that business will pick up.

Other than that, didn’t do anything else, we came back stuffed and just vegetated the rest of the day

Big love and hugs to all the lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

HI:

@marcy November?? Do you need an periodontist? Luckily I am not finding this dentist scarcity here. I am not frequently bored at work, but I am frequently cold.

Hot weather here. I worked today but slipped outside for lunch and my head was hot. I really need to take my hat to work. LOL

@Austina I am glad you enjoyed your lunch. We continue in trying times.

@missy lovely you found a cool jean jacket!

NIRDI shout out! Keep well people!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Hello lovelies

Just wanted to share that we had some great news last night (because of time difference) - we’ve got our interviews on the 25th August !!!!

Good morning girls and it's wonderful (I hope) Wednesday!

Hello lovelies

Just wanted to share that we had some great news last night (because of time difference) - we’ve got our interviews on the 25th August !!!!

Woohoo, congratulations dear @Austina and Colin!!! So happy for you!!!

Glad you enjoyed a nice lunch out. It is sad businesses (and people in general) are struggling right now. Hopefully things will improve when the pandemic is truly over and hopefully it won't be too far in the future. Though I worry about lockdowns being lifted too quickly and in the states there are still many people who are just not getting vaccinated. I am concerned about the variants. And it doesn't look like there is going to be a booster recommendation anytime soon for us in the USA.

@marcy glad Marty is feeling better but darn those allergies. Good luck with his shoulder surgery should he need that. A good friend of ours broke his shoulder and was in the hospital for a week and is now in rehab. But he is doing very well. Ugh to work being cold and boring and yay for being off today. Keep calling the periodontist's office because most likely there will be a cancellation and perhaps you can get in sooner. Ask if there is a cancellation list but if not just call daily. I had a very long wait with my first appointment with the periodontist I see now. IIRC it was a 3 month wait. That is a pretty long wait you have til November and I hope you can get in sooner than expected.

@canuk-gal our hot weather is coming but yesterday was cool and overcast and perfect for cycling. Stay cool and comfortable and hope work is calm this week.

@Slick1 hope you are enjoying a nice and relaxing week.

@bling_dream19 good morning sweet lady, hope all is going smoothly.

@sarahb hope you are enjoying summer and all your loved ones are well.

@mrs-b one more day and you get your much needed consult. Continued good thoughts and wishes going your way.

@MamaBee how are you feeling and how is the family doing? I am drooling over emerald cut diamonds. Help! LOL. Must restrain myself from purchasing another diamond ring. :halo:

Good morning to everyone else. Hope all is well.

Another early morning for me. Just woke around 1:30 AM and that was it for me. But I do have an early morning appointment that is about 2 and a half hours away so it is actually good to wake up early today so I can do my weights before leaving. It's going to be a long (and nerve wracking) day. But I am remaining calm and breathing deeply and maintaining zen. Knowledge is power. I hope. LOL. Anyway wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday.

Leaving you with our ice cream photo of the day from yesterday. It was misty all morning but we got to cycle after my blood work was done and it was a really lovely cycling day. The mist cleared a couple of hours into our ride and it was overall cloudy and cool and nice. Though our heat wave is coming along with thunderstorms for much of the rest of the week and weekend I believe. Stay comfortable and cool and safe lovely ladies. Big hugs.

Screen Shot 2021-07-14 at 3.16.29 AM.png

Oh and one photo from yesterday morning at the lab. LOL I hadn't noticed this before yesterday AM. Greg stenciled Francesca onto his baseball cap. You have to love a man who loves his furry babies that much.

Screen Shot 2021-07-14 at 3.16.51 AM.png

Ugh @missy, I’m so sorry you’re awake so early, good luck today. I :kiss2: Greg’s hat.

We’ve had more good news this morning, they’ve started boarding on the house :appl:

@Austina yay. And thanks for the good wishes.

@marcy thanks for letting me know the happy news about the cat being reunited with her owner. Just saw that happy update. Aww sweet kitty. ♥️ I’m not texting you now as it’s the middle of the night by you. I wanted to let you know i got it though. TY!

Good luck today @missy Hope all goes well today!! Yes! You have to love a man who adores his fur babies as Greg does.

Congratulations @Austina on both the interview appointment and the start of construction! So exciting!!! Looking forward to in-progress pics!

@marcy amazing pictures! Thank you for sharing. Hope you enjoy your short work week!! And all is calm.

@MamaBee hope you are well!!

@mrs-b good luck with your specialist and your new bling!!! Can’t wait to see your DK haul!

Not much going on here. Which I love! It’s been a crappy summer weather wise though. Lots of rain and cloudy days as of late which doesn’t help with the AI symptoms.
Have a great day NIRDIs! ❤️

@missy - I think you're in your appointment right now. Sending prayers, warm wishes, and positive thoughts your way. If you look reeeeeally quickly to your left, you'll just catch a glimpse of me sitting next to you for moral support. :))

(...and Greg's Francesca hat is beyond adorable!)

ETA. UGH! I was wrong on that, wasn't I? Today was the early appt. 7am? 7.30am? So hopefully you're out now! Instead of picturing me sitting next to you - picture me wandering the halls of the dr's office going "Where IS she?? I'm SURE she was supposed to be here now!" Frankly, that sounds more like me. Hope it all went well! oxo

Aww thanks so much. I appreciate that. ❤️

We just left the appointment and unfortunately the tech couldn’t give me the results and I have an entire 7 days to wait til my telemedicine appointment with the bone specialist. I’m so worried and now all I can do is wait. Sigh.

Heading home now. Thanks for all your good wishes and warm comforting vibes. ❤️

Almost forgot haha. I have to photo document everything.

We were the only ones there.

@Austina!! CONGRATULATIONS! Both on the interview and the house commencement! Are you hoping to be here for Christmas? That would be so awesome! I love the way Americans do Christmas - soooo much more decorative! - and I have to think Texas would be 'Christmas decos to the max'! I hope everything goes smoothly. We were living in Epsom when we relocated to New York, and it was pretty seamless...except for a bunch of lost boxes, which pretty much broke my heart - but there you go. I hope all goes well!

@canuk-gal - I'm glad your weather has picked up and is true summer! Ours here is wet and overcast everyday, so it's hard to appreciate long, hot days when it feels so drab. On the other hand, it *is* over 90% humidity every day, so there's that.... :roll2: My temp crown isn't working out - unsurprising, given the rest of my experience with that dentist. The tooth is giving me sharp nerve pain when I put pressure on it, so I'd say the filling he put in isn't sitting on the tooth properly and there's an air gap, or something similar. I hope your sister's experience works out better than mine! This guy seriously got Not One Thing right. Oh - except for one thing, from his perspective, I suppose: he billed us twice.

Good morning, @Slick1! I'm sorry your summer hasn't been anything to get too excited about! I'm meant to be getting my resized cluster this morning, and a pearl bypass ring, which I had reset with nicer pearls, this morning, but the UPS site isn't giving me any updates. So we'll see. My realtor in LA has an adult daughter who has Crohn's, Lupus and...and...one other hideous AI disease. She hardly ever gets to leave the house. How sucky would that be?? Makes me grateful for all the health I *do* have!

@marcy - enjoy your day off! Do you have anything planned? More photos? I'm so sorry about your long delay before your perio visit. What a pain! Tooth pain - there's nothing like it! Your photos, on the other hand, are fabulous! Congratulations on your new photographic endeavors - I really will look forward to seeing them all! Sorry to hear about Marty's potential surgery, tho. That really doesn't sound like much fun. And allergies are the pits. I'd never had them before I came to MA, but now....ALL THE TIME. Unreal. Are you going to lift today? I love hearing about that activity of yours! (You're doing it for the both of us!!)

Eleanor is sick. A lot. She has a nasty upper respiratory tract infection. I had her tested for covid, but it came back negative. Her temp yesterday was 101 and she's tired and lethargic and her throat is very sore, poor little bunny. :knockout: Despite getting a negative covid test (she's fully vaccinated, btw), we're treating it as if it *is* covid and she's isolating downstairs. If she comes upstairs, she sits on the verandah outside with the overhead fan on and a mask, and I go sit with her (masked) and we have little chat visits. Other than that, I've been driving all around town, getting her all her favorite things to eat. Looots of ice cream!

My application has been approved and the townhouse in Cali is ours after August 1st. We're all very chuffed and excited.

And now I'm going to go make scrambled pesto eggs for the sick girl and cross my fingers that UPS is more 'on it' than their website suggests! It's been sprinkling rain this morning tho, and I believe that makes the UPS vans shrink, so they have to stay at the depot. Or some such thing, in my experience.

Love to you all - NIRDI shout out!

Almost forgot haha. I have to photo document everything.

B120A429-C761-460F-8DB6-3D4D7ED9C240.jpeg

Good lord - that reminds me of The Shining! Greg is much better looking than JN tho!!

I hope Eleanor gets better very soon @mrs-b
Sending her bucketloads of healing vibes and gentle hugs.
And wonderful update about your townhouse. Not that I doubted you’d get approval. They’re lucky to have you!

Nirdi shoutout!
Long live the cat! I will always speak cat rest assured lol. @missy I LOVE Greg's hat. Totally sweet. Thinking about you. Here's to a beautiful day enjoying life!
@mrs-b how fabulous and exciting for your new home! And you'll be closer to DK...easier for more bling! Teehee  I hope your goddaughter feels better soon. Hoping you are feeling better too. I'm soo excited for your new wedding set!
DK has 10 stones with him now! We are working on designs...3 stone AVC, mermaid princess ring or pendant with pink sapphires and yellow diamonds and red spinel either with blue zircons or with diamonds. Ahh so many decisions! But I've had these stones for a while and I would love to wear and enjoy them. After these pieces, I really need to be done until a possible ering and studs upsizing. Save the money honey! I have hubby on a savings plan lol.
@marcy Sorry to hear of your tooth and me too @mrs-b I broke my tooth biting a piece if sausage about 2 months ago. Crown is on and not quite right. Need to go back and get it fixed. Why can't they get it right the first time? And it was a lot of money ahh!
@Austina yay for your new home and new life! Hope you get to be here for Christmas.
Love and hugs to all!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@Austina I know our dentist office was really backed up from being closed but they seem to be okay not; I guess not so much the periodontist. Thank you for the compliments on my pictures; with one “fuzzy” eye I want bright colors. I printed photos and portraits for years so I am pretty picky on color. How cool you have pigs in your garden. I see garden gnomes around places too. I had no plans for today and that turned out to be a good thing (more below). I agree Marty will definitely have his lifting interrupted if he ends up with surgery. He is pretty darn grumpy about it too. I’ll have to come visit one of you ladies post surgery. Ha Ha. Glad you went out for lunch; I hate to hear they are struggling but I know the same happened here. I’d say maybe 1/4 of our local mom and pop businesses closed down for good and some are in a bind now because they didn’t use their government loans/grants properly and now have to pay the money back which they no longer have. Glad to hear you came home stuffed and relaxed the rest of the day. That is awesome you have a date for your interview next month and how exciting they are starting your house.

@canuk-gal my dentist wants the periodontist to see if they can remove enough gum and bone he can get to the broken off section and make a crown for that tooth. I hope I get called sooner than November on a cancellation. I am sorry you are frequently cold at work too. I seem to be right under a vent that blows cold air; I have 2 blankets and 2 scarfs I can pull out plus a lined sweatshirt I leave there. I tend to be cold anyway but I freeze at work sometimes. As for being bored there doesn’t seem to be a middle ground for my job; it’s either too much to do or hardly anything to do.

@missy thinking of you today and sending mega dust for your test results. That is great your friend is doing so well after shoulder surgery. Marty would do fine but I worry since he has that “thinks he is invincible gene” (I wonder if it showed up on his DNA test results?) he will think he can start lifting before he should. Patience is a fleeting to non-existent trait in our home. I am on the cancellation list for the periodontist office. I plan on printing out the new patient forms and get them filled out in case I get called in soon. My sister updated me on the momma cat and kitties today; the owner and her daughters have been coming over now and they plan on leaving them there until they are weaned; they seem okay and sure are cute. She said they did kind of come out and play last night but can’t walk too well - so I said they walk like me, eh? Ha Ha. Love Greg’s Francesca hat. That is awesome.

@Slick1 thank you - I am having fun playing with my camera. I got 2 decent ring shots today. I’m thinking the 24 megapixel images are so stinking large that when I blow up a tiny ring it looks awful. I am getting better with it. Sorry you’ve had such crappy weather. I see really ominous looking clouds to the west right now and I hear thunder. Glad I’m not at work.

@mrs-b I hope you are doing well. LOL to “The Shining”. Ugh to that high of humidity; we have low humidity here so when I go somewhere that is humid it really smacks me in the face. Sorry to hear your temp crown isn’t working out; mine hasn’t convinced me yet it is working; of course since he couldn’t get to where the tooth broke off I can see why it will remain sensitive. Boo for us!
Thank you - I am totally having fun with my new camera. I do plan on lifting then I plan on negating burning those calories by baking cookies. Ha Ha. I hate to hear your allergies are bad. They stink. I hope Eleanor starts feeling better. Sounds miserable for her. Woo hoo your Condo in California is yours come August 1st. Hope the UPS website has more info for you.

@bling_dream19 you have some beautiful jewelry in the works; I can’t wait to see them. Darn those pesky but necessary savings plan. Marty spent $85 today for some logo for a VLOG - that he could easily have made it himself. However, I refrained from griping about it to him since I am sure he thinks I spend money foolishly at times and never says anything to me. I am a spender but there are certain things I’m cheap about. The one that always cracked Marty up is my favorite thing to order in an Italian restaurant is Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. If they had it listed as a dish I wouldn’t say a word about the price on the menu, but if they want to charge me $5 or more to add an ounce or two of chicken to Fettuccine Alfred then I won’t order it. I know, it doesn’t make sense but it’s the principle. I am so sorry you are in the sore tooth / crown club. We feel your pain!

I have had a lazy day. Slept in until 7:15 then rolled the trashcan out. Marty leaves for the gym about 4:30 - he rarely pays attention to my 2 orange sticky notes on the door that says “trash”. So I got up in time to get the trashcan put out. I did a batch of laundry, messed with some ring pictures, got my August article ready for the local newspaper, ordered us in burgers for lunch and have to admit I feel way better after eating. I haven’t had much food the last few days so seemed pretty tired and rundown this morning. Overall my tooth / teeth feel better but as I mentioned above I don’t think the temp crown is covering up the spot where my tooth broke off. We are getting a lovely thunderstorm right now. Let’s hope the possible ping pong ball sized hail doesn’t materialize.

Take care.
Marcy

Hi. NIRDI’s.

I am having an irritating day. I had a Curby incident and scraped about 2” off the black rim on the back right tire. That brat Marty said that’s why we can’t have nice things. Then he kept sending me pictures of old, ugly cars he said he was going to buy me. Then I thought all or part of my temporary crown came off and since I didn’t know it that I swallowed it. The dentist had me come in and turns out it was fine. It looks a lot like a big filling, the last temp I had was gold. Oh well glad it was still there. I got gas while I was out and returned to work without further incident.

I need to lift tonight and the hopefully do some of my projects I skipped doing yesterday.

take care.
Marcy #stupidcurbs

Hello lovelies

Ugh @Slick1 sorry the weather’s been horrible, and causing you AI issues. Here’s to better weather and better health. Don’t worry, by the time the house is ready (whenever that is), you’ll be bored to tears with the updates

We’re keeping everything crossed we’ll be there by Christmas @mrs-b, but selling houses here is notoriously slow. Not the actual getting an offer, but all the stuff that follows, I wish it was like the US system, but people can pull out of buying right up till the last minute almost. It makes it very stressful. Poor Eleanor, I hope she’s feeling a little better today. Woohoo for packing up shortly to head west.

Oh my goodness @bling_dream19 you’re really living up to your name  I can’t wait to see all your completed projects, they sound lovely.

Oh no @marcy, it’s easily done. I backed in to a post the other day, despite my reversing sensors bleeping furiously  I thought it was bleeping because I was close to a tree:lol: I’m glad you didn’t swallow your crown, I hope they can get it all sorted quickly.

Ugh to having to wait a week for the results @missy, I wish they could just tell you at the time because waiting is so stressful. I hope the weather has allowed you to get out and cycle today.

We’ve had a couple of busy days, we got our medical appointments sorted out yesterday, then had to get some more passport photos done. The ones for the US are bigger than our ‘normal’ ones. We stopped in at the Dr’s surgery to ask for a print out of our vaccination records, and the only ones they could give us were for the Covid & flu vax. The receptionist said our old paper records are in storage somewhere, and gave me the email address to see if they could be accessed. I’m not hopeful they’ll be able (or willing) to provide them because I don’t want to have any I don’t need. It says on the website I’ll need the MMR vaccine but I’ve already had every childhood illness going, mumps, measles, rubella, chickenpox and whooping cough, so surely I’d have immunity? Besides the MMR vaccine wasn’t introduced here until the late 80’s because I remember taking Adam for it when he was little. We’ve also arranged for an estate agent (realtor) to come on Tuesday to value the house.

We took a car load of stuff to the recycling place this morning, then did our shopping. I had to pressure wash part of the driveway again, because a Fox (most likely) had eaten too much fruit and shat all over the place

I ironed all the new bedding for our bedroom ready to put it on for showing the house and did a couple of loads of washing. Phew, that’s about it.

TGIF tomorrow :wavey:

Hi girls, sorry for the quick post and run but it's been a busy day. I just wanted to say hello.

@marcy ugh I am sorry your day has been irritating. And ooph re the curb. Boo to Marty and yes you can and do deserve nice things. Glad the crown is intact. I hear you on challenging days and sending lots of hugs your way. May your day only get better and yes to lifting. You go girl. XO.

@mrs-b hope your appointment is going very well and you are soon on your way home with good news. XO.

@Austina glad you got your medical appointments sorted and yay for passport photos and recycling and shopping. XO.

Hi @bling_dream19 thank you and big hugs to you.

@Slick1 hope you are staying cool. The heat is on but it's good because it's summer. XO.

@sarahb hope you are having a lovely week. Hugs.

Hi to everyone else. Just got back from a lovely and fun cycling day though it's warm. Ice cream cooled us off. I had a telemedicine call this AM with a new hormone provider so hoping that will work out. And my bone specialist moved up our telemedicine call for tomorrow so of course I am stressed and worried because obviously he has not good news to tell me. But I am remaining zen and hoping for the best. I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful day and doing well. Big hugs to all of you.

Coffee and Vanilla combo for us both today.

And a photo of the sunrise this AM from the bedroom. The light was very soft and warm.

Have a lovely evening girls.

HI:

NIRDI shout out!

@Austina good stuff happening! Except for the car dingie thingie...

@missy hope your news from the Doc is not as bad as you think. Healing vibes your way.

@marcy sorry for your tooth and tire woes

Busy with work--nothing too exciting here. Hot weather and poor air quality due to forest fires in our neighboring Province. Looks murky. No cycling, just walking today.

cheers--Sharon

HI:

@mrs-b I am sorry Eleanor is sick--hope it is short lived. Did they swab her for strep throat? Hope your appt with the specialist goes well.

cheers--Sharon

So this will be short and not so sweet - for which I apologize.

Went to see the spine surgeon's PA yesterday. She was very good, very pro, and very on-the-money. She affirmed what I'd already been told by others, that I need surgery (I knew that, so was expecting it), and showed me how the abnormal bone growth, combined with loss of disc post back surgery 16 years ago, plus aging - which dries out vertebral discs, was causing an impingement on the nerves in my lower back which is basically severing them. Which explains the pain, of course.

I need major surgery on my back or a wheelchair is in my future as I'm already losing feeling and function. I'll need to have bone removed, a spacer put in, then a fusion. I'm also having MRIs of my cervical and thoracic spine to see if I need more than one surgery. If I do, they'll start at the top and work down over multiple procedures as a way to minimize the chances of paralysis and paraplegia. MRIs are next Friday then my surgery will be scheduled after that.

Eleanor is sick with an upper respiratory tract infection. She's given it to me and today my throat is inflamed and sore and I'm massively tired. I'm also pretty worried re the whole back situation, so might be 'absent more than I'm present' in the short term while the world stops spinning.

My new rings come tomorrow. The shine has gone off them at the moment, but will hopefully return when I see them. For now, all I can think of is surgery, surgery, surgery - and how far that will push back relocating to LA.

Feeling very flat and miserable today. Trying not to be a big baby about this.

Love to you all. <3

Hello lovelies

You’re not being a big baby @mrs-b. You’re between a rock and hard place, and both options are frightening. Having confirmation of what’s wrong (even though you knew that) is making it all much more ‘real’, and knowing what’s in the future and what you have to face is one hell of a shock. I’m sorry you’re sick too from the URI, you really don’t need that on top of everything else. I hope you and Eleanor get over it soon. It’s so disappointing that your plans are all up in the air, but taking care of your back is your priority now. The alternative to not having surgery is unthinkable. I know you’ll get through this with your usual grace, and you have the love and support of your wonderful husband and friends.

Nothing exciting at work is a good thing @canuk-gal but yuk to poor air quality and no cycling.

I hope your telemedicine call today went well @missy and wasn’t bad news. I’m glad your other call was more positive, and hopefully, finally, you can get that issue sorted. Yay for good weather and cycling, it’s going to be a scorcher here over the weekend, up to 32 deg C , and no a/c :shifty:

The big clean and tidy up is in full swing here, all the rooms we won’t be using this weekend are dusted and vacuumed, Colin is arranging for more realtors to come next week, and also international movers to come and quote.

Looks like a busy weekend on the cards, but hey ho, at least it means that things are moving towards the final destination.

Big love and hugs to you all :wavey:

Girls I will be back tomorrow. Just wanted to send bucketloads of good luck dust and big but gentle hugs to @mrs-b. Keeping you in my thoughts. You will overcome this challenge as you have overcome all previous challenges. It sucks and you don't deserve all this cra* but you will get through it because you are a fighter. And you are strong. You could never be a baby. You are one of the strongest people I know. But sometimes it's good to let it out and just have a good cry. Allow yourself to feel miserable and down. Hi NIRDI’s!

@Austina that is too bad people can pull out at the last minute on buying your house. I know (very little ha ha) here they have a cooling off period where you can back out without penalty, then you reach a point where you lose your earnest money and deposit. I hope your process goes smoothly. I know what you mean about the sensors and to make it even funnier I turn down my radio like that is going to help keep me from hitting something. No rationale reason there either. Glad you got all your medical records lined up - I have no idea how I’d get mine. I have my thick allergy pack - that doctor let us pick them up when he retired. The doctor I went to as a kid and in college retired and the guy who took over his records is retired now. Oh well. Good luck with the realtor and quotes.

@missy thank you - I think I’ve just been so tired my IQ dropped; I was better today. I didn’t even speed today! Beautiful sunrise photo. I hope your call went well today and that’s hopeful the hormone provider sounds good to you.

@canuk-gal sorry you have such bad smoke; I check the smoke and fire maps and there are so many fires going; we vary between heavy to moderate smoke here and on a few lucky days it’s just light.

@mrs-b I am so sorry to hear about what the spine surgeon said; I hate to hear you are facing so much surgery. I am keeping you in my thoughts and sending you mega dust and big hugs. I hope your rings really brighten your day tomorrow. I hate to hear you got sick on top of it; I hope that clears up quickly for you and Eleanor.

I took a very long lunch at work today; we went to lunch with a lady who was quitting today. It was fun! I finally had enough energy tonight to do some of the stuff I planned to do on Wednesday. I was going to get some chicken nuggets and a peach shake for supper but their ice cream machine was broke so I got my nuggets then stopped at Cold Stone and got a medium size cake batter ice cream. Good supper!

Last night we had our neighborhood picnic. They always use our big tent we used to have as our registration booth at star party as the food tent. Poor Marty had to set it up by himself at 12:30 - no one showed up. He had plenty of help at 8:30 when the picnic was over though. I didn’t venture over until about 7:30 but got this great picture.

Have a great weekend.
Marcy

Good morning girls! Happy Caturday Saturday.

I apologize the morning has gotten away from me yet again. My sister, bother in law and nieces are arriving early afternoon and I have lots to do. But just wanted to say good morning and check in with you.

@mrs-b yes 100% agree. We are and we will. XOXO.

@marcy I have had many days like that. In fact more than I care to admit. LOL.
I am glad you enjoyed a long lunch at work and had a sweet picnic in the evening. That is a great photo. And yay it's Saturday. No work for the next 2 days. Relax and enjoy. Hugs.

@canuk-gal hope you are having a good weekend after a long work week. As always, many thanks for your healing vibes. I hope the smoke has cleared and everyone safe. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.

@junebug17 hope you are having a good weekend and you had a good week. It was a hot one.
XOXO.

@Slick1 hope your AI issues are calming down and you are feeling good. And enjoying a lovely weekend. XOXO.

@sarahb have a wonderful weekend and big hugs.

@springerspaniel how are you and how is summer going for you? Sending you good thoughts and hugs.

Hi to everyone else. We had a decent day yesterday but it was too hot to ride. We had the bike out but decided after my telemedicine call with the bone specialist that it wasn't worth it. The heat index was in the hundreds. Just too hot for me. My Schamberg disease is flaring and despite wetting my legs while cycling all day Thursday it still flared so we didn't cycle yesterday.

The call went as well as it could have. My gains are real. The DXA from June wasn't wrong. The numbers weren't exactly the same compared to the DXA and TBS in June but that is due to different models of machines. One was a Hologic and one a Lunar Prodigy. So basically the bone specialist was pleased and even used the word remarkable to describe the progress. I am still not in a good place for my bones but it is a better place than where I was last summer.

I disagree with him on the why I made progress that "seems too good to be true". He feels it is the testosterone but I am on a tiny dose (1gm cream per day) and I only started the t a few months ago. So, IMO, it is unlikely to be the reason I had improvement.

Other reasons I might have had imrpovement...I gained 16 lbs, I am eating more protein (80 grams daily), working out with weights for an hour every other day, I am doing weight bearing exercise daily, I am taking Calcium and MK4 and MK7 and other supplements etc. shown to improve bone health. Plus, I am taking estradiol and progesterone. He did say I am the most motivated and proactive patient he has ever had.

But the reason why isn't that critical as I will continue my routine daily and hope for the best.
I am still a medical mystery unfortunately because my bone markers are not good and my bone is breaking down. But at this time he is reluctant to put me on op meds because I am (relatively) young and will run out of meds if I live a normal lifespan. There are many I cannot take due to other health reasons, so there are a limited number of meds available to me and they can only be taken for a year or two. That is the conundrum. He will see me in person in 6 months and we will repeat the scans.

So for now, only BHRT for bone meds. Hopefully my breakthrough bleeding isn't from an ominous cause. I do need to address that but our days and weeks and months are so full and flying by...I will have to schedule a biopsy appointment though.

Sorry for the long post about this but I know a few of you wanted the details and I appreciate your caring concern. Thank you for caring and for your friendship. Sending each and everyone of you lots of good wishes and big hugs.

Leaving you with a photo we just got from our Aunt. Of Greg and his cousin. In 1977. LOL. My DH was handsome then but, IMO, even more so now.

Big hugs and lots of love to each and everyone of you. Have a lovely weekend. XOXO.

Hi all. Quick check in (power outage :( ) for @mrs-b ! So sorry to hear about your Dr visit. Please reach out to me if you need to talk about the upcoming spinal surgery/surgeries. Sounds much like what I had done so happy to help/advise/listen/share x-rays any way I can. I am here if you need me ((Hugs))
NIRDI shoutout!! Off to get stuff done!

ETA:
@missy had a minute to go back and reread your update fully. Happy to hear you’re doing so well and not surprised you’re the most proactive patient he has. I hope you continue to improve and yay on the healthy weight gain! Your story makes me feel a need to have my bone density checked. I never have had that done.
Have a fabulous day all! ♥️
