i have an idea of how it was done, but i don't want to give you the wrong info. i read a thread about it where john from WF explains how it is done. Maybe you could give WF a quick call.
i don't think spinning has anything thing to do with the girdles rubbing. i think if made properly, the gridles don't touch at all regardless of spin. but like i said, WF would definitely have a better explanation and insight.
i decided to go half after doing lots of reading on this forum about the plus/minuses and difference between half, 3/4 and eternity.
i am scared that i would eventually need to resize the band which is a problem with eternity ones. also, to me, the idea of when you grab something with you hand, diamonds hit that object -scares me.
i am not planning on soldering them together. although i haven't worn them too too much because i am not married, the time that i did wear them, they didn't spin.
Oh that second one is just perfect, I love it! That would make such a great cover shot for a scrapbook of your engagement trip and the wedding process.
I was trolling through todays posts and saw the ENORMOUS number of hits this had, had to check it out! iI had a lot of catching up to do and my eyes is tired!!!!
First, Congratulations. More than how gorgeous your ring is, you make a lovely couple. Much happiness to both of you.
Two, I love the diamond and really love the new and improved setting. It just sets the ring off so much more beautifully and I love the band.
today we made a little purchase. i decided i wanted a plain knife edge band to wear for our honeymoon. that way i won''t have to worry about my diamonds. i am quite pleased with it.
i took some pics of my back-up band along with my regular band.
