I don't like that at all I think it overpowers your beautiful stone.

I personally would love to see your solitaire with a plain band of the same width, depth (height off the finger), and squared profile as the shank. Subtle and classically elegant. I can envision stacking a french cut band on top of the plain band for a more blingy look...

Why don't you wear the band as a RHR? That way, the rings won't compete with each other. The band deserves to stand on its own.
