Oec g color 5 carat lab diamond opinions needed please

I didnt have a good experience with Fiorese for custom cut. They dont seem to do what you ask, they seem to do what they think it is you want

Yesss this exactly this is cut 4 for this oec and I send them exact video photo measurements like from Victor canera and they still go free style I think I may have to use my credit to make a setting and a diamond band idk I feel at a loss
I’d really love a stunning oec

Yeah use the credit for a product they already know how to make to your preferences then buy an OEC from a vendor who you know cuts one’s you like. Some IG sellers make the best ones I’ve seen.

I suspect the labour to payment ratio was off for the vendor in a situation like that which is why he charges more/wont do it anymore.

As I said, attempting to tell someone else how to cut a diamond is not typical. I hope OP goes a different route.

Does Southwest do any custom old cuts anymore, or do they just not allow specific dimension requests?

Or, it could be he gets better money doing bulk for vendors?
Or, maybe vendors are telling him not to do custom?
Or it could be a pain and less profitable by being more time consuming to deal with custom.
Or, he can get MUCH more selling boutique cuts to vendors, for higher profit margin?
Too bad, Ashley was a great cutter.

I think Sin City Finds might custom cut them? Some people posted recently their really great OMCs. Looks though threads in this forum for cuts you love and go from there.

No idea I just recall seeing some chatter recently about higher prices and different terms. I could be wrong!

Thanks @jaqjaqjaq , SCF actually had 2 OMC's for sale. I bought one of them and the other sold I believe before I bought mine, the second one. Then she opened it up to orders. I just posted it recently in Show me the Bling under Show me your David Klass pieces. Something like that anyway I do love the stone and the setting David made for me! I have bought a couple of lab diamonds from Alex and would recommend him too!

I had Ashley do a recut on a lab diamond for me. I would use him again in a heart beat. I didn't give him any numbers. Simply sent him photos of the diamond I loved. It helped that he had already cut that person's diamond! I contacted him a few months ago when I had put a natural OMC on layaway. I wanted the girdle cleaned up and anything else he could do for the clarity issues close to the girdle. He was wonderful about that. In the end I changed my mind and decided it wasn't going to be mind clean enough for me... I certainly hope he is still doing recuts!!!
