I loved it. The whole thing was Joyous! Thanks.

I thought that was so great and true to themselves that I got a little emotional

. So many weddings are staged in the way that the bride and groom do things for everyone else and lose themselves. This bride and groom did it for themselves. I didn''t think it was a show...but it showed their excitement and the excitement of their fam. and friends to go along this entrance. I took it as a prelude to a damn great wedding reception and a great life together.

I grew up catholic (my church still has nuns in habits) and as a kid...you just would sing and pray in church. I remember many years ago when ppl would start clapping in church I thought that was so odd. I learned quickly that things changed with time and also that some churches celebrate with dance.

I think it was great...their entrance reminded me of something you would see in a chick flick

hiliarious, and obviously fun for the group that did it!

Not something I can ever see myself doing, but I''ve got to say, I''d love being a guest at a wedding like that!

totally awesome. thanks Lauren for sharing that.

I forwarded it to my daughter. This past spring she and her bf were in town
to attend a friend''s wedding. They returned home early - I asked why home so early.
The wedding was dull and boring, kinda sad. Not what they wanted!
while this video is really entertaining, the part I would change is for the bride to walk
down the isle in a wee bit more "pretty" way. But guess that''s the old lady in me!
again, loved the vibe of the video wedding - more power to them.
wonder what the little gray haired lady up front was thinking :)

That''s hysterical!

Me too! I was definitely shedding tears by the end of the video.

I feel the exact same way- that it was mostly for them and not to just make a funny video for YouTube.

I know the choice in song was strange considering whats been going on with the Chris Brown/Rihanna stuff but I think the song choice was neat because of the song title (Forever) and the line that sticks out to me, "Its like I''ve waited my whole life for this one night." That pretty much sums up how I felt the day I married DH.

First, I''d''ve put a hip out about 4 steps down the aisle. Churches I''ve been to are a bit more..sedate..but I know there are churches where the congregation rocks out..this must be one-and I saw the officiant getting into it too!

I can see my brother doing this.

Yes, these are the non-denominational churches that mostly allow this. I have attended them too.
Me, too!!!

Lori

that literally made my day! i thought it was so unique and really showed how fun-loving this couple is. what a truly inspiring way to celebrate and kick-off a marriage!

i've never been to a wedding where people went "woo-hoo!" and cheered with so much joy like that at the beginning of the ceremony. that was beautiful!

The couple is on GMA right now. I thought it was a great way to begin a wedding, and I wasn''t offended by how they entered the church. I''m sure they had to get the OK from the church officials first, and if it was okay with them, why not do something different? I could never do it but I''d love to be a guest at a wedding like that.

What a celebration of a marriage! I believe the bridal party coming down 2-3xs each was in order to get the timing right for the groom and the bride. What a joyous bunch! I am jealous that we couldn''t do that, the aisle being stairs would have made it a real aerobic endeavor. My Rabbi would have been thrilled with such a celebration! I forwarded the video to her. Thanks for sharing Lauren!

I loved it. I''m not sure that I personally would have been comfortable doing that in a church, but even the pastor was dancing and seemed to be enjoying it, so I don''t see any harm. It was definitely joyful, and I did get a little choked up.

I sent this video to my 80 year old aunt. She loved it. She said she would have wanted to dance right along with the couple. HA.

Wow, this was awesome. I loved it! What a truly "happy note" to start out on.

That was the most joyful thing I''ve seen in a LONG time. It actually made me CRY, and I don''t cry over silly things like this! I love weddings, and I''m all for appropriate behavior, but this was just unexpected and cool. Maybe a little over the top, but still really fun to watch!
Oh Monnie, I''m so glad you said this! I thought I was the only crazy one. I was grooving along and then the bride came out and she was just so joyous that I cried too!

Me too!
