I am so glad I found this website, I started reading all the articles and posts several months ago and it has been invaluable to my learning as I get near to making my purchase. Thanks in advance for helping me out!
Okay, so here is my situation. I have tried to stay true to a $10,000 budget (for the stone). I want a round brilliant (as large as possible) but as I''ve learned, cut is king. So I found a stone, but my concerns are color and whether the inclusion is visable. It will cost me about $100 to take it to a PS approved appraiser in my area.
Round Brilliant (GIA) - Price $10,900
1.73 Carat
7.69 x 7.74 x 4.79
Cut - Excellent
Color - I
Clarity - VS2
Polish - Excellent
Symmetry - Excellent
girdle - med to slightly thick (faceted) 3.5%
Culet- None
Flor - None
(diagram shows small crystal under table and slight feather/needle closer to edges)
(Comment on GIA Report = "Pinpoints not shown")
Table = 55%
Depth = 62.1%
Crown angle = 35%
Pav. angle = 40.8%
HCA = 1.6 (ex, ex, ex, vg)
Thanks, Everyone!
