Today marks 30 years since the Oklahoma City bombing. Do you remember?
RIP

Sad day. I do remember.

Pretty awful.
30 years already... sigh

What connections??

If I remember correctly -

the perpetrator(s) of the Oklahoma City bombing reasons for actions was beliefs/ issues with various USA governments actions, partly but not wholly related to how the Waco situation was handled, in relation to his own USA military service experience. here and abroad.

Columbine perpetrators indicated some connection to that/those for their choice of date. Unsure if it was just for more notoriety they were looking for in choosing the date, or they had belief causes for the attachment though.

I remember so many moments of that day and the days that followed. So many lives were lost. I was in disbelief that this was done by American’s.

The photo of baby Baylee Almon being held in a firefighters arms still haunts me.

National Geographic has a 3 part special “Oklahoma City Bombing One Day In America”. I watched Parts 1 and 2 a few weeks ago.

A few years after it happened, I came across a book at my public library, about the bombing. Photos of the aftermath, interviews with survivors and families of survivors.
It was the by far saddest book I’ve ever read.

Oops, too late to edit: interviews with survivors and families of victims
