Old Cut Lovers...... please sign in!

Thanks Chrono. Woo Hoo - the sun shone today and I got a nice photo of the necklace of OMC diamonds I inherited. This still doesn''t really show the sparkle but it isn''t lifeless - it does allow you to see how pretty the necklace is. It is very lightweight and lovely to wear.

My gorgeous OEC ering is at the jewelers and I can not wait!
I will stare at it, take pics, post, stare at it, take pics, call my mom, send pics to friends, stare at it.

My own antique cushion! Thanks to the thoughtful bf.

Someone should systematically recreate versions of these stones from each historical period. They'd sell like hotcakes.

That Necklace is GORGEOUS!!!!

Here are some pics of my OEC in a replicated antique setting also containing only OECs

There are a few cutters out there doing just that! My stone is listed as an old mine brilliant on the gia cert and it was cut the year I bought it.

They would, but I love the idea of having old stones--pieces of history.

I much prefer chunky faceting, though, and I hope to find a cushion, new or old, that has that pattern.

Chrono my only criticism of your ring is that you have never made a thread about it or posted any pictures!!

I just recently received this from JBEG. Is this what you all call a "chunky cushion?" It''s my first cushion and I love it. The stone is just beautiful in person. It''s 1.10 ct., I color IIRC. I can''t tell one color from another unless it''s obviously yellow.

That cushion bezel just takes my breath away!!

I agree! I think the stone looks deep and rich. Very nice stone and love the bezel setting.
