Looks like an antique oval to me. But at 88% depth, it has to face up smaller.

Is there such a thing as good cut in antique? I am a bit concerned about the leakage of those circled areas.

Hello Rockers, I want to update y’all on my latest hunt for OMC.
1. I received the pair of earrings. It came one stone fell off, stones displayed meaningful color variations, some stones are bit hazy… despite me loving the style and the sparkles, I am returning them. Here are some pics.

2. I am thinking of having someone build me a pair like this instead


3. And in my hunt for nice OMC, I came across this brooch that I love! So I bought it. Will update pics when I got it. I cannot return this piece, so I’m hoping it’s good quality. I was told it’s a piece from the Belle Epoque era!

First of all, that brooch is GORGEOUS! I hope it's an absolute stunner IRL.

I'm bummed those earrings didn't work out for you. They looked really promising, but best to return if your weren't loving them.

As for the inspiration studs, I like them in theory. I found the seller's post, and they don't show really good shots with the earrings on the ear. Be careful measuring your lobe real estate if you go with a style like that to make sure they don't overwhelm your ears.

Yes I saw these on IG and it was annoying that the ear shot was just a blip lol but they are enormous.

OP I am sorry they didn't work out - I love the look of some of the stones in the mix but others are more rustic. Also how awful that a stone was missing!

Love that brooch!

I sort of think weird assortments of rustic diamonds and chips are normal for such old pieces, but go with your gut. You will pay more for more perfect pieces all else being equal (can't recall what this pair of earrings cost)
