I'm so glad you like them! Ear shots will be coming post haste when I get them - but I think that won't be till after Christmas, I'm sorry. I feel kinda weird wearing them, taking photos, posting them on a public forum - when my god kids are always soooo proud to give me this stuff and see the look on my face when I unwrap their gifts! So when they come, I won't be doing a photo shoot - I'll be taking a quick look, then shipping them off to the giver. And it will hurt - believe me!!
They're 2.5" long, but I have a longish neck, so the length is nice. I'll definitely be wearing these on Christmas day (with my jammies, as per @bling_dream19!) and will post videos asap! I hope all is well with you - I think of you and your kind heart often. You were so nice to me when I was so ill during this year, and I appreciated it a great deal. Something beautiful to which I can look forward... I think the movement should be very pretty. Every station is articulated, so the whole earring will bend and move, which will either look really sexy on me or...more likely...get stuck in my hair so I'll be the woman who takes 2 steps...stops to untangle earrings...takes 2 more steps...stop...and so on! Or maybe it will just be something in the middle, like with normal people! Wouldn't *that* be nice! .. .. Either way, I'm gonna love them!

Happy to share the photos I received this evening of my Christmas gift from my god kids and their dad.
Made by DKJ in 18kt rose gold with .75 ctw of colorless, eye clean diamonds and a bunch of different Australian crystal opals, most of which were cut by our very own @jordyonbass, these babies are 2.5" long and round out my rose gold jewelry collection. I've wanted something like this for *such* a long time, and these really hit the spot! I don't have them yet - maybe Friday or perhaps Monday - but they'll certainly get a warm welcome when they arrive! After I've checked them out, I then have to return them to the giver till Christmas! That will sure test my resolve!

ETA And just to add - Jordy was all sorts of helpful with this. He's recently had an injury to his hand, and shipped the last 2 opals off to Justin at Black Opals Direct to get their final cut so they'd work with this project. He was prompt in his responses and nothing was ever too difficult for him. His attitude attached a lovely flavor to this project and made it all the more joyful. And DKJ's work is, as ever, wonderful.

.. These were quite a long time in the making and, for anyone interested, were in the 6-7k range. Without putting too specific a dollar amount on them, I find it very useful to know what I'm shooting for, if I'm looking at a particular piece somewhere down the track. The opals range from 7.5 x 5.5 to 8 x 6mm. The diamonds are all 3 pointers. The design is 100% mine.
