I finally have a clearer direction. I've taken some inspiration from the posting @minousbijoux posted and a poor quality ring I saw advertised recently. I made some sketches and sent them to DK who is working up a few sketches in return. He really is wonderful! I am sending the opal to him (finally above freezing here) and so it begins. Thank you, poster, for your help and suggestions!
