In the hands of the right designer, a milky hazy diamond like that can be romantic. It’s an aesthetic, somewhat like rose cut diamonds.

Of course, part of the appeal to this sleepy gem bandwagon is the price I’m only paying a fraction of the price for what otherwise would be a well cut, 3 ct medium blue sapphire.
