This is my first diamond purchase and I'm about to finalize the order on this GIA EX from an online seller. I know the angles are good, but what are your thoughts about the girdle, star and lower half combination? Does it look good from the picture?

Round Brilliant
0,46ct
4.95x4.96x3.03
Color H
Clarity VS1
Cut Excellent
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Excellent
Fluorescence Medium Blue
Table 57%
Depth 61.2%
Crown Angle 34
Pavilion Angle 40.8
Girdle Slightly Thick 4% faceted
Star 50%
Lower Half 80%

Its HCA score is 1.1 TIC, All excellent with a very good spread.

Please let me know what you think.

Looks pretty much perfect …… Your getting a 50ptr spread with an Ideal cut and medium blue for with H colour , you could lower clarity a bit to get a bigger size though.

Do you think that the leakage visible at the table is due to the black background?

Can you get an idealscope image on it? GIA XXX doesn't necessarily guarantee optimum light performance (it's a very broad category). But yes taking pics on a black background doesn't help.

No idealscope image available

That combo doesn't produce leakage. It is fine
