Opinion on this Idealscope and ASET image

Hi pricescopers,

I would like your opinion on the following Idealscope and ASET image. The diamond is a 3.14 J SI2 GIA XXX. HCA 1.8 (vg-ex-ex-vg). Table 58% Depth 61.7% Crown angle 35.0 Pavillion angle 40.8 Girdle 4.0% (med-sltk) no culet.

Bear in mind the photos are not the best quality since I took them myself with my low-quality camera and no tripod. Photos are taken using the "Expert" Idealscope, the ASET scope, and the Ideal Light.

I am slightly confused as the angles look fine to me, (granted they are averages and rounded), but does the ASET show leakage through the middle of the table or is this a backlit issue again?

Thanks! It took some trial and error, but I am happy with how they turned out.

I tried really really hard to take hearts and arrows photos through the jeweller's H&A viewer, but it always came out either blurry or distorted or both. Any tips?

This is what I was wondering as well.

if you hold it with tweezers, can you see colours through the table?

I held it with tweezers in front of a red background and rocked it back and forth. I saw the a bit of red around the edge (near the girdle), but I don't think I saw any red under the table except perhaps the occasional small flash when I tilted the stone on an angle.

Is that okay?

With a backlit ASET like the one you've posted, leakage would look like white light coming through, not the pink that's shown there under the table. White like leakage looks like the white light coming through the patterning on the circumference of the diamond (which, incidentally, is perfectly normal on this diamond).
