#JOTW OTL's acquisition

I think I own the stone in the JW pic. To my eye, mine has a slight green modifier the custom cut one does not. Oddly enough, I hesitated briefly when buying mine because I was looking for more of a pure blue tourmaline. Sorry you were disappointed as I think it's still lovely.

Did you ever post a pic of yours in person. I know several people tried for that one, during the gem scoop (myself included). I'd love to know how it looks in person.

Yes, please! I second that!

I think I've seen her post regarding that stone somewhere... Maybe in catch all thread?

I was eyeing that tsavorite ring. I hope you post lots of pics when you get them.

I also bought this 1.25ct Kunzite color spinel. It's quite an amazing stone, so unique and rare.
Here is the seller description:1.25 ct. (7.34 x 4.81 mm) Pink Mahenge Spinel faceted by Jeff Hapeman of Earth's Treasury. The spinel is slightly sleepy/soft. It is eye clean + and takes on a blueish sheen in the sun.
I have a purple sapphire that takes on blue sheen in the sun, like there is a blue layer on top of pink. It's a cool effect, I never know spinel does it too.

So, here are my photos of the two rings...which are not as good as the seller's photo. But it was a rainy day, and I just took some quick shots on the deck with iphone. It's getting dark around that time too.

I love the pink topaz ring. It's such a fresh pink.

The pink is a stunner, great buys!

So gorgeous! Enjoy your new pretties.

Love them. That pink spinel is a knock out and th green the tsavorite looks so beautiful. :mrgreen2::love:

Absolutely gorgeous! I love them both and the new pics are a great improvement.

I MISSED SO MUCH! A lot of new threads!
I recently received a bunch of new rings, and some old rings but has done some modifications on them, yesterday I finally took the time and did some photography by the sunset light.
There are too many, so I'll minimize each ring photo and post group shots a bit more.

Super gorgeous! Love the demantoid garnet ring and the purple star sapphire ring!

Those are ALL gorgeous OTL! Your blue spinel is so intense! Would you mind telling us about the second demantoids ring? I've never seen a setting like that.

Wow wow wow - what an amazing collection latest additions are fabulous! I have really enjoyed looking at them! Can you share where you acquired the lavender and red spinels and where those particular rings were set? They are all fabulous but those two are just perfection!

I got the lavender spinel from ebay, caratsgem, and the red spinel is from litnon.com 2 years ago. These two colors are rare to find, it took me all my collecting years to find a beautiful lavender spinel until a few months ago.
I have been working with a jeweler also my friend for years, he can not be reached though as he does not own any online store, I'm sorry.

I forgot where I find the original setting, it's been saving in my hard drive for years. I have more photos I can share when I got home if you like.

I will post more photos of these after I got home, the pink spinel is 1.26ct from gemfix.com
That demantoid is 1.06ct if memory serves, I also had it for years. It's from Russia.

Hot damn!!! I'm sitting here going "ooh, I like that one" and "ooh, that one too." This is way too much sparkly goodness for one post (but don't stop ). I really love the mahenge halo ring and the demantoid flower ring (which is so cool btw). It's nice to see the pad spinel ring again..I love that one. :kiss2:
