There are a lot of New Yorkers in our group! Exciting!!! Those in NY, are you all in the NYC Metro area (meaning approx. 1.5 hours or less from NYC? Me, I am 20-25 min outside of Manhattan's UWS.

Will be incredibly helpful when we are all (eventually) planning a wedding in this area...

Since I am fairly new to this site, can someone explain to me the abbreviations on PS? For instance, what does 'DH' mean? 'Something- Husband?'

I'm not dumb, really!!!

I'm actually from jersey but live maybe 7 minutes from the gw bridge.

thanks for asking about the abbreviations! i've been on PS for almost a year and i totally didn't know what DH stood for all this time! oh! another abbreviation i'd throw in here...SO = significant other

Right now I live on the South Shore (by the Cape) since that was one of the more affordable housing markets. SO and I are hoping to be able to move to the Metro-West area in 6 years or so.

North and South shores seem to have ridiculous commute times when compared to metro-west. Stupid 128/95!
