Out of Curiosity - Ages of Fellow LIW???

FARGO!!! WOW...that is far. Are you both from that area? The only things I know about North Dakota is that it''s one, very beautiful (and therefore one of my top destinations to visit in my lifetime), but very cold during the long winter, and two, the MOVIE (Fargo), which was fantastic. Do you plan on moving?

We are both teachers and currently living in New York.

There are a lot of New Yorkers in our group! Exciting!!! Those in NY, are you all in the NYC Metro area (meaning approx. 1.5 hours or less from NYC? Me, I am 20-25 min outside of Manhattan's UWS.

Will be incredibly helpful when we are all (eventually) planning a wedding in this area...

Since I am fairly new to this site, can someone explain to me the abbreviations on PS? For instance, what does "DH" mean? "Something- Husband?"

I'm not dumb, really!!!

Well I guess things must be beautiful the first time you see them but...I''m pretty sick of all the farms and what have you lol. And on sunday, there was a BLIZZARD! in the middle of april! seriously ugh. I want to live somewhere else but bf doesn''t because his family is like an hour away (my family lives in town). The movie is good but it is super annoying when people think we use that accent because we sooooo don''t, only like in the top northernest parts of nd do people talk like that (at least that is what i''ve heard)

I am from Boston and since I've lived in NY, when people find out I am from Massachusetts, they ask me why I don't speak like a Bostonian--You know, the classic, "I paaaahhked the caaaahh in Haaahhvaaahhd Yaaahhhd..." Uggghhh. I mean, don't get me wrong, many people from MASS do speak like that but not everyone! LOL

i bet ive passed you on the interstate! my relatives live in wisconsin or to the south of it but we drive all over to go canoeing

Not the same but similiar... my BF is from New Jersey and he only has an accent on certain words (like the word tour.. he says tor.. haha) but other than that you would never guess!

I''m from 1.5 hours upstate from the city in NY but for school i''m even more upstate, but I''ll be moving to NYC in 2009 when I graduate school, so will *hopefully* be doing wedding planning by then!

Its so interesting how many of us have been with our BF since we were young, BF and I started dating when we were 17 but were friends since we were 14. its amazing how we have grown up together and I still want to see him everyday lol.

oh and regarding the abbreviations, there is a thread in FAQ section of the Forums that details all of them if that helps any!
