Padparadscha or pale pink sapphire melee/halo on a fancy heart diamond engagement ring?

Hey friends!

Short time lurker, first time poster here.

My partner has kindly placed the selection of my engagement ring in my hands as I am toooo picky (clever man)

I have selected a heart shaped natural diamond (1.2ct, H, IF, Strong fluro) which is on it's way now.. after some lurking I realise I have rolled the dice a bit because I have not seen it in person but my fingers are crossed it's beautiful in real life. I know heart's aren't for everybody but they are very 'me' :)

In my opinion a nice heart setting is quite hard to come by and I have found it difficult to come up with inspiration, prongs take away the 'wow' of a nicely shaped heart when they aren't huge and I'm not a huge halo fan - however.. I think I could get around some sapphires whether it be along the band or a bit of a halo. But do we think pink/peachy hues with a heart diamond and rose gold is a bit too barbie?

I would love some opinions or some inspo if anybody else owns something beautiful or has seen something wonderful in the wild?

I've attached a ring design I do like along with the diamond cert - tried to attach the 20x vid but I don’t think the forum allows the format :)

Wow that's wild! Can you share the color grade?

I would not go pad since it's a pure pink (and with blue fluor) so there is nothing orange or yellow to play with. I think it would pull it in the wrong direction, hue-wise, and cheapen the look. My vote would be colorless MRB diamonds -- and not small -- to highlight the uniqueness of this incredible center stone. Anything else risks making it look like a "gemstone" ring.

Also ask the diamond people here.

Sorry I think in my wall of text I was confusing! That ring is just inspo - the diamond I have purchased isn't fancy pink (as much as I would adore it haha) I just like the statement stone / sparkly band so was thinking if I 'inverted' and went pink sapphires around the band? If that makes sense!

I am thinking about my e-ring project and would LOVE to see your rose gold and pink diamond confections. I am considering a rose gold pink diamond halo with a plain shank for my e-ring and would love to see more examples to help me in the design process. I am not sure about the visual impact of rose gold next to my stone - a 1ct old mine cushion, VS1 I color (would pink and rose close it in too much?).
Opinions appreciated.

I adore the eye candy! Also, it would be helpful if you would give stats and tell if it is 14 or 18K. Thanks in advance...I can't wait!

If you want pink on tje band I'd probably go for pink diamond (lab melee is very inexpensive, but natural pinks are $$$). I say diamond bc in my opinion the pink sapphires on tje band won't sparkle the same way as the diamond and might look dull
 
Was coming in to suggest doing pink diamonds as well as @lovedogs suggested - I don’t think sapphires will give you the same sparkle and look as diamonds and wouldn’t enhance your ring the way it deserves!

If you want inspo @Autumn in New England has one of my favourite heart rings of all time, which also includes fancy colour diamonds!!

Hello friends,

In all my years on PS, this is my very first SMTB post. Hard for me to believe, but I guess I don't wander too far from the CS forum. :roll: This guy doesn't apply though, so I thought I'd post him here.

The center diamond is 2.03ct., F, VS2. The halo is comprised of about .75ct. of VS fancy intense purplish-pink and fancy intense yellows, along with Argyle fancy blues in BL2.

DK just finished today... here are his photos. We tried to correct the exposure, as they seemed to be washed out. In any event, hoping to receive him soon! I can't put into words how I love...
