I prefer the concave cut one in this case as I think the second one is likely to be too dark in person. But it''s really a personal preference. Make sure any stone you buy has a return policy.

I'd choose this one. Color changers are just as unique as concave cuts, but more lively if cut with a degree of precision (which this one seems to have). The fact that it's a color change sapphire might be a factor which makes it's price lower, but I'm no expert. And you also get two stones for the price of one, sort of

Isn''t AJS Gems based in Thailand? Just find out about the return/shipping policy, as I remember reading that some have paid hundreds of $ on shipping stones (because they returned them).

OoH! A colour changer. I like it. Before messing around with shipping, ask Rung or whoever you are dealing with at AJS for a few more pictures. A side view and back view. Also, ask for a description of the colour - medium tone? any gray/green modifier? clarity? what and where are the inclusions? As for the cons, it looks like there is a tiny window and the outline isn't symmetrical. The stone looks to be lively though.

Don't worry about returns and etc. AJS has a good return policy and has an office in the US so payments/returns are a snap. I just bought a screaming red spinel from them and am wonderfully pleased.
