Any thoughts on using a service to help select a diamond? I found "Online Diamond Advice" who will help with the search of a diamond for $100. Any reviews?

This forum has been very helpful, but the more I learn the more I realize I don't know and can see the value in paying an expert to find the best value.

I am planning to spend 6-10k total for the engagement ring.

Thanks in advance.

Why? There are dozens of experts on here for free...

Literally, most of the most reputable jewelers and diamond sellers in North America frequently post here. You also have people who are obsessed with diamonds helping people daily.

I guarantee that if you give what your thinking of in terms of color, clarity etc. people in here will find you a gorgeous stone... No doubt about it.. Why pay and throw money away?

Pricescope is free, crowd-sourced knowledge from people who have a very good idea of what they're talking about. Top experts chime in, especially when misinformation is given out.

I peeked at the website, and I'm not convinced that spending $100 will get you anything more than what we at PS can find for you, or at a cheaper price. Sorry, but it's true. FWIW, she seems very nice.
