I love pears, and this thread is so drool-worthy. Pears are just so classic and elegant.

Here's mine: Chipotle, Sunny, Liz Taylor and LemonPepper.

OOOH! Lovely! As a huge pear fan.......I just don't know why people just don't like pears. I think they are so Regal looking!

Thanks, CCN! I know what you mean. If it was the heart shape, I can understand. When I see a pear-shaped stone, I also see royalty and glamour. It's seems to carry a history, just waiting to tell a story. The Taylor-Burton diamond is a perfect example.

Some people believe that pear shaped stones signify tears, evoking sadness or a gloomy future. Maybe they think it's bad luck.

And some just think it's an old-fashioned shape, which is understandable.

I can see why they may think it is old fashioned...or maybe just a popular shape in the 80's. They looks so pretty on though and I would love to see more people wear them. They look quite large for their weight too, which is an even better reason to enjoy the pears!

I finally have a couple I can add! I had never really been a fan before, but once I embraced my marquise shaped diamond, I knew I would love a pear shaped coloured stone. I want more now!
