It's gorgeous Katie! I love it! I love how the band tapers in and makes the diamond pop!

I agree, the wedding ring doesn't exactly match with your ering. It's a little too high? What are the details of that wedding band? Is this your current wedding band? I must have missed something...

cool photo huh?

what a beautiful ring, i just love the lines of it. and this photo...... you couldn''t possibly show off that gorgeous profile any better than that! i LOVE your composition.

Yes, that band is too high. It''s not mine--it''s one I ordered to try with my ring. I love it but it really doesn''t go. The style is wrong, it''s too high, too squared off, etc. Thanks for all the nice compliments ladies!

It looks gorgeous! And HUGE! I love the simple setting, too. Congratulations on a happy ending!

Also, I agree with you about the wedding band you ordered not looking quite right. If I were you, I''d have Whiteflash make me something with ACAs that will sit next to the e-ring perfectly! (Same height, width, etc.)

Really gorgeous! I agree that the band doesn''t really work. How about a channel-set round diamond band with that beautiful ring?

It just looks beautiful on you! I also found that many diamond bands were set too high to go with a solitaire. I like the wedding band to be the same size as the e-ring. It looks funny to me when the wedding band sticks out further than the e-ring on the sides. See if WF makes any that would work. More expensive options are Memoire or Tiffany. They both made ones that were set much lower.

If I were you I would take the ring to a store and have them measure the size. If it is truly a 4.5 and you want it bigger, I''d send it to WF for resizing (the most affordable way I could ship.) This keeps your warranty intact, to the best of my understanding. If they made it in the wrong size, I would hope that they would absorb some of the shipping costs, if it was their error. If it is just a tad too small (but was made in the proper size), you might want to keep it a while and see if you can get used to it. Your finger might be swollen for a variety of reasons. Also this is the hot weather season, so it should fit looser in the winter!

it''s a beautiful ring and I really like it. I like it with a plain band. Also, what about a starlight/etoile band? I could see that looking really good.

BTW is that the legato sleek line? I really like that setting. Not that I''m changing mine, but I will file it away as a mental note.... it''s a great alternative to the standard 4 prong solitaire that is so common!

Ah, I was out of town for a couple of days and just saw these photos! Lovely! You can size the dimensions of the thumbnails larger so we can get a better look. That''s pretty cool software.

Now, have you been to the local jewelry store just to make sure the ring is the size you ordered? That is a great setting, so I guess that would be the first step before sending it back to WF and ordering a different size. And I guess you''ll have to ask Lesley if they mind just making you another one instead of sizing it. I''m sure they do a top notch job sizing anything anyway, so that might work.

I agree that the wedding band you are trying out just won''t work. It''s not the right height...too bad cause it is pretty as well.

More hand shots, more ring shots, how about some flower shots? Try out that software and experiment with the sizing.

Lovely ring...too bad you have to mess with the sizing, but you are getting closer to a great ring!!! Cngratulations!

Hi all--I''ll try to take some more photos today but I wanted to show you the wedding band I''m having Isaac from SP send me to try. http://www.thefacetscollection.com/item.cfm?item_id=2371

I had been saying "I don''t want channel set". My husband and I went to a ton of B&M stores over the weekend and we both thought that by far, the thin channel set round eternity looked awesome with my ring. Of course, the stores in the mall use crappy stones, so I really can''t wait to see what Isaac sends me because their stones are amazing! I''d thought all along I wanted prong set but when we saw the skinny channel set with very little metal on the sides, it just worked! My husband liked how the channel set metal sides matched the metal on the ering so well, while the diamonds still gave it extra sparkle.

What do you all think?

I think the channel set will look great as long as it sits very low, like your e-ring band. I have the Fine line by Whiteflash.
When I had WF custom make my shared prong 2 pointer w-band, i told them to make sure the stones were set as low as possible.
Anything higher does not match well.
Good luck with your w-band search!!

Katie, here''s another ring similiar to yours with a channel set band.....

I think this perhaps "goes" together more like what you have in mind?

Katie, I love your ring, and can''t wait to see how it looks when paired with the channel set SP band.

Congratulations!

Over the weekend, when we were at one of the mall stores, I saw a 1/2 carat eternity ring that was thin and channel set (just what we were finding we really liked) and I asked her to measure the height and width of the band. Of course, the stones in it looked like crap and she tried to tell me they were "colorless and excellent cut" which they obviously weren''t, but anyway... the band at that store was 1.5 mm in height and 2.7 or so mm in width. So I called Isaac this morning and he personally went to look at what they had in stock and he is sending me a size 4 3/4 in platinum, .51 ctw, 34 stones, F-G, VVS-VS stones. It''s 1.5 mm in height and 2.6 mm in width, so I think it should fit nicely next to my ering.

I''m keeping my fingers crossed that this is going to be perfect! I should have it on Thursday. :-) After I get it and assuming it''s what we want, I''ll send my ering back to Lesley for them to resize from a 4.5 to a 4.75. I figure if I decide after doing that that it''s way too loose (maybe in the dead of winter or something), I can think about having a couple of those sizing beads put inside the band. But I really don''t think I''ll need to. I figure it''s better for them to be slightly big than tight (as long as they''re not so loose that they are in danger of falling off!)

Thanks! It''s the Legato sleek line. I''ve gotten lots of compliments on it already!

Your new ering really is beautiful. Congrats! Thanks for the hand pictures it looks perfect on your hand.

Beautiful!!!

i think that band from facets will look VERY nice! i''m not a fan of channel set myself, but when i clicked on the link and saw that one, i definately had a change of heart! i may have to try on something like that in a store to see if it is in fact what i''m looking for as well. it has all the benefits of the channel (over pave) as it will be secure and comfortable, and it looks like it will just sparkle. can''t wait until you get it and post pics!

isn''t it always the way..... the thing you know in your head you won''t like (be it a dress, or a style of jewelry or what have you) ends up being the very thing that looks and works best for you when you finally give in and try it on!
