I thought it would be fun to post pics of the rings I had on my journey to find my perfect ering. My FI bought my first ering at zales and I loved it. The style was perfect, but the stone was a little smaller and not the quality that I wanted. We thought we could just upgrade the center stone at Zales later. However, zales upgrade policy requires you to trade in the whole ring. I found another ring at zales that I liked and we decided to upgrade to a different ring. The stone on the new zales e-ring was not eyeclean and it bothered me once I got in normal lighting. I also missed the more understated style of my original ring. So, I decided to take what I learned about diamonds on pricescope and I went to a loose diamond show at zales. I picked the nicest diamond I could without spending anymore money at zales. It was an even exchange and now I am done with Zales. My FI loves that it looks like my original ering only way more sparkly. I am amazed at how much higher quality the whiteflash setting is. I love my final ring so much and I will never change the setting. Even the tiny diamonds on the side glow and sparkle like crazy. I may change the center stone to a ACA from whiteflash when I complete grad school(first things first I guess). My new center stone is beautiful and It is the perfect size for me, I just know the ACA will have a lot more of the sparkle factor. I will put my current center stone in a 3 prong pendant. Thanks for letting me share my story.

Jess,

I loved your story, and I love your new, and final, e-ring. It looks so lovely and elegant on your finger! Congratulations!

Wow ... the final result is just perfect! Is it a Whiteflash stock setting?? Because the proportions seem different ... DEEEELICIOUS!!!! A thin ribbon of bling with a gorgeous center stone. Congrats!

decodelighted: My current ring is a wf stock setting.

Thanks you guys!!!

Those are all really pretty rings. I''m glad that you''ve found one that makes you happy, it''s beautiful and looks great on you.

That third ring is absolutely divine. Thanks so much for sharing all the photos with us - it was a great read!

I love your new ring! The petite open cathedral is one of my favorite settings from WF and I almost picked it for my eing! It looks so sparkly and beautiful on you - congrats!

Love the WF ring! And I can clearly see the arrows in that diamond, so it must be pretty well cut. I don''t think I''d worry about replacing a stone that nice!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and reply.

Diamondseeker: Thanks, I was wondering if I should replace the center stone or not and if it would make a difference. I do love my current stone and it is beautiful. Your comment was nice to hear.

Jess, what a gorgeous final setting! Love it!

I was thinking the same thing! It''s LOVELY! Is that the Petite Open Cathedral setting? If so, there''s a band that matches it perfecty at WF too. What a lovely story. And a dainty and classic final result!

Thanks geckodani. It is the WF petite open cathedral in a couple of months

. I will be sure to post pics when I do.

I do love the stone. It is rated as an excellent cut and was the most sparkly one at zales. I guess I just started thinking that zales diamonds aren''t that fabulous and an ideal cut would be so much better. A local independent jeweler said that the stone seemed to be rated correctly and that it was a very nice diamond. I guess the more you learn about diamonds it is easy to get caught up in the chase for perfection.

Gorgeous, one of my favorite WF settings.

It looks beautiful Jess!! Thanks for sharing your story.
