Thanks elsie. Honestly, I looked at the cert, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best it was eye clean. I figured that with the 30 day return polilcy I could always return it if it wasn''t and most SI1''s at this size are eye clean, but I''m not sure I would risk it with an SI2 from BN. I definitely got lucky b/c this baby is *clean*!!!
Thanks for the info, kcoursolle! I hope I am as lucky with the specs when I get mine.
I just love how pretty it is -- I keep coming back to sneak peeks at your pics! Hope you''re enjoying it.
Thanks Dianne, I''m really loving this necklace and it really does seem to be a very versatile piece.Date: 7/13/2007 11:21:03 PM

Thankl you simplysplendid! I love how delicate this pendant is. It looks substantial enough to notice on my neck, but it''s also nice and light and delicate, really perfect for everyday wear. It''s not too attention grabbing, so I feel comfortable wearing it. It adds a little something extra to my outfit.Date: 7/14/2007 2:55:20 AM

It is very very pretty and delicate..
I''m so glad you responded gail. I kept reading over your threads about your pendant as I was making a decision. It was a really tough decision to make. I would have really liked to have purchased from WF. They have really beautiful stones and great service and it would have been really nice to purchase from them again and also to be a loyal customer. However, I really didn''t like their stock settings for reasons we discussed and the overall price difference added up to quite a bit, about $200-300 more. For a larger piece, I can definitely justify it, but for a smaller piece like this I just couldn''t do it. I do wish my stone had an upgrade policy though. My plan is to someday turn it into an earring (b/c I really like the .4-.5 range) and then get a whole new pendant around .75 and upgradeable someday loooong down the road LOL!Date: 7/14/2007 2:46:59 PM

K, it looks awesome!!!!!! I am having total bezel envy right about now. I am sure you will enjoy it with so many outfits, it is such a versatile style and you wear it well. Your hair is so pretty as others have said!
I love the BN setting, and thanks for so many pics, I''m sure they will help ppl in the future who are deciding between different styles/different vendors! I agree with what you said earlier (maybe on your first thread) it would be great if WF offered a more delicate bezel or could provide more pics of what they do offer. I really wanted to order a bezel pendant from them. I ended up getting a martini and am happy w/ my choice, and I also considered the BN bezel as you did. It would be great if the delicate BN style bezel was available with WF so that we could enjoy the other perks of buying from WF! Just in case anyone from WF is reading!!!
KCoursolle, thanks for the reply. I think your plan sounds like a good one, PLUS your necklace is a really substantial size to wear for many years until when/if you decide to upgrade it. I am glad my threads helped you a little - I was really obsessing over it. It is really hard for me to spend money on myself, so when I decide to do it, I want to make sure I get it RIGHT. I was also in between grad school and starting my job at that time, so I had plenty of time to obsess! I''m glad you like my pendant! Re: where is my thread... So I took a whole batch of neck shots and ear shots (DH took them) and they came out AWFUL. Totally did not capture the beauty of the stones and also showed a lot of blemishes/etc that I had never even noticed! I was like, I CANNOT put these on the web! I was trying to upload one for you on your prev thread but then I couldn''t resize it and I was on my way out for vacation... so.... no thread yet. I am gonna do it though! Everyone was so helpful, I owe people pics! I love the martini pendant and I am glad I got it, but there are definitely times I wish I had a bezel (like when I see someone else''s that looks so lovely, like yours!) I agree, it was so hard to justify the price of customizing a bezel relative to the stone''s cost - i just couldn''t do it. I do love both styles and who knows maybe someday I''ll have one of each... a girl can dream!Date: 7/14/2007 11:45:19 PM

I really love the martini pendant you purchased. It looks like a beautiful floating diamond. If I went a little larger with this stone, that''s probably how I would have gone, but I really needed the extra size help on this stone with the bezel.
By the way gail...where are your pictures of your pendant?!!! I only saw the stock setting you put in your thread, I''m dying over here to see it!!
Aw, thanks Ellen. I''m really happy with the stone in person, it''s a sparkler!! Thanks for the compliment about my hair tooDate: 7/15/2007 8:45:28 PM

k, I''ve been out of town, so I''m just now seeing this.
It turned out just beautiful!!! The stone looks fabu, and the setting as well. And your hair does too.
Congrats, you done good!
Woohoo, I bet your earrings are beautiful! BN stones are pretty reasonable, so I bet you got a great price too.Date: 7/16/2007 11:32:29 AM

Beautiful pendant. I recently got 2 J SI1s, 0.42 and 0.43 ct, for earrings from Blue Nile, and they are totally eye clean as well. I need a microscope to see the inclusions. You made a great choice.
I love beautiful jewelry that can be worn for everyday as well as more formal occasions. Your pendant is absolutely perfect!
I loooove the strong blue in this stone. It is usually quite subtle and honestly I hardly notice it. When this is *bright* sun shining on it, it does indeed look blue! It''s really cool!!! Most of the time though, you can''t even tell it''s there and it''s more subtle in person than in the pictures here.Date: 7/16/2007 1:51:37 PM

Geez i''m just seeing this thread now. WOW kc, you have such great taste in jewellery!! That bezel is a beauty! And the strong blue is really nice - can I ask what made you decide to get a strong blue flour? How often do you notice it? I can''t stop staring at that flour pic!
OMG, we are totally pendant twins LOL!!! I looked at the pic of yours with both of your pendants on your neck about 10x before making the decision to buy the BN pendant. The bezel really made a huge difference.Date: 7/16/2007 2:08:51 PM

Oh, how''d I miss this? I feel like our necklaces are siblings! Just about the same size, strong blue fluoro, same BN options
Your necklace is gorgeous, and as always, you take great photos of your blingI wear my necklace day and night, and pretty much never take it off! Here''s to hoping we wear them in good health for many many years to come!
and p.s. I couldn''t scrape the budget together to create a wedding band sibling like yours, so I settled for just a matching plain platinum band, and fiancee has promised that at some to be disclosed milestone in the future he''ll consider getting me a replica of your gorgeous band!
Wow, do I sound like a stalker or what?
